Do you want to be absolutely sure before choosing your Nation? Or perhaps you’ve already made your choice, but you still have some niggling doubts? We’re here to help! Every week, starting from today, we’ll get down to the nitty-gritty of one of the four Nations, looking at its history, Clan Members, professions, and little secrets… That should make your mind up once and for all! Sound good? Then let’s get stuck into the first of our Nations: Amakna!

Amakna, which was once no more than a tiny village, has now become a vast green territory known far and wide for its excellent cuisine. Not only does it boast the tenderest meat, the softest bread and the toughest leather in the World; it’s also packed with steadfast warriors! You’d better watch out… Amaknians will stop at nothing to defend their heritage! Oh, and one more thing: take a peek at their coat of arms, decorated with the magnificent Royal Gobball, and you’ll see that Amakna just so happens to be the most tasteful Nation out there!

Amakna’s specialties are cooking, baking and leather dealing. You’ll therefore find more machines dedicated to these professions than you will elsewhere.
You can learn one (or more!) of these professions by talking to Shosanne on Crusty Road, or Georgiana Marni in Traff Algar Square.

Farmers are also pretty important in Amakna; after all, no wheat means no flour, and no flour means no cakes!

Master Pigmy will welcome you as soon as you arrive at the Amakna Headquarters to tell you all about the Nation’s customs and to teach you the farmer profession. He knows the archipelago better than the palm of his hand (er… so to speak), so you’ll be in good stead.

Renowned lumberjack Jonk Andee is in charge of Amakna Village. Don’t be fooled by his intimidating size and booming voice – if you chip away at his tough exterior, you’ll find that he actually has a heart of gold. What’s more, he’s full of helpful advice to get you started on your adventures.

Farle Ingalsse will also be more than ready to show you his Fields and help you become a farmer – if Master Pigmy hasn’t managed to convince you already. Watch out, though! Farle may look as cool as a cucumber, but he lives for his crops and he won’t take it lying down if you treat them badly.

Next up, there’s everyone’s favorite trapper, Hugo Bello. Go and see him in his Prairie and he’ll teach you everything he knows. Oh, and if you think you can pull the wool over his eyes, think again! Hugo may look young, but what he lacks in wrinkles, he makes up for in hard-earned experience!

Pay a visit to the Fertile Prairie and Nick E. Larsen will try to awaken your inner herbalist… and your inner rockstar while he’s at it! “Nicky” (as his friends call him) is as rock-‘n’-roll as they come and loves music just as much as he loves nature! It may seem an unlikely combination, but it actually works pretty harmoniously, man (and if you disagree, you’d be best keeping it to yourself)!

Head out to Gobballfield Country and baking superstar Xav will take some time out to teach you all about his profession. He might even flash you one of his trademark smiles if you’re lucky!

Another Ingalsse awaits you in the Singing Fields. This time it’s Shika, and she’s ready to reel you in with all her hints and tips on the fisherman profession.

With his trusty shovel by his side, Alibert is the guardian of the territory of Emelka (and his Inn, of course!). Just ask, and he’ll share all his expertise – get ready to know absolutely eeeeverything about being a chef!

Pick your way through the Holey Forest to find Amakna’s finest miner, Jaffin. He’ll teach you his trade, provided you don’t wake him up too abruptly!

The three trade bridges are in the capable hands of Giorgiana Marni (the go-to girl for armorers, jewelers, tailors and leather dealers), Bakander (who knows close-combat, long-distance and area-of-effect weapons like no-one else) and Shosanne (baker, chef and handywoman extraordinaire). Be warned: all three of them have got a temper on them… but you have to have thick skin if you want to conquer the market!

Wimbie the Countryman was elected governor of Amakna! Member of the guild Interference, Wimbie intends to make Amakna the greatest nation of the World of Twelve.

Most of the Nation's landscape is made up of rolling, green meadows. Whether you’re knee-deep in Gobballs on Hugo’s Prairie or trekking across Emelka, the Fertile Prairie, or even the Holey Forest, the grass is always greener in Amakna!

Certain monster families swear by Amakna’s fresh air.

Before you can taste her sweet embrace, you’ll have to work your way up the tower, defeating her army of Toads as you go.
