Loka's Roguides
By Loka-#2166 - MEMBER - November 02, 2022, 04:04:15Hi y'all. I'm known as Loka in game, Rogalion outside of the game, and I write Rogue guides because I really love this class. Hopefully once college stops kicking my butt I'll be able to write more specific guides that can help people maybe have an easier time learning to play the class. And maybe get a few laughs along the way.
Building Your First Bomb: The Basics of Rogue (1.77+)
In the future I'll probably write guides on How to Position Bombs (most frequently asked question), and the different builds I've come up with since there are now a few distinct playstyles you can build around, even if some of them share gearsets, starting with Crit Rogue since so many people want that. Maybe I'll make them videos if that'd be more helpful. We'll see.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions feel free to reply to the forum topic or message me on discord at rogalion#1307.

I can't wait for the Bomb positioning guide to discover new tips and secrets, I think mastering that aspect is one of the hardest parts of playing the class. Adapting to the enemy's movements, how to place them in the first turn, managing the positioning spells and their cooldowns
Keep it up!
Edit: just realised you didn't exactly say it was for the purposes of boosting piercing shot 's damage- I guess you're talking about a scenario where you need to hop in due to lack of range or Line of Sight
Awesome to know, I always thought it was suppose to boost the next barbecue ribs/slap shot/detonate air bombs on target due to the clunky wording, which are the only 3 air ST melee spells available to the Rogue, and as you can imagine is as niche as it comes, and thus I only ever used it for mobility.
Certainly connections would be easier to understand if they followed a standardised format of Trigger Condition: Triggered effect
I guess this is another connection worth storing for longsword other than barbecue ribs
Also might it be useful to mention that while Machine Gun gives range immediately after attacking a linear target, Boot only gives MP after the player does another movement (trigger condition)
The confusion you're having likely comes from the fact that the damage caused by the connection is Air damage, which is what the description is saying.
