Is it worth playing rogue?

I'm playing rogue. I play with a group of friends, so far (level 90) I feel worthless as a rogue.
I studied combos and gameplay a lot, but while it takes me 3 turns to hitting1500, my friends hitting 1000 every turn.
Will it improve after high level? The class's difficulty does not seem to make up for its gameplay.
What level will I be useful at?

Nearly all dungeons are better off without a rogue. The rogue bomb mechanic is awful against the mechanisms in dungeons. My advice is to create a new main character and play rogue only if you really want to play with it. It'll never be useful except for very specific situations. .
