WAKFU MOBILE WITH CROSSPLAY/SAVE WOULD BRING THE GAME BACK TO LIFE!

The Wakfu team has said that even though they are interested in a mobile version of the game, it isn't one of their priorities at the moment. Kind of sad because a tactical game such as Wakfu would benefit a lot from a mobile version, it'd be cool to farm or level up professions for example on the go.

Right now, your best option is (if you own one) to play Wakfu on a portable PC such as the Steam Deck, AyaNeo or ROG Ally. The game runs awesome on those devices and you can totally play it with the touch screen and get a Dofus-Touch experience. Maybe you'll need to do some tweaks here and there, like setting up the keys and get used to playing fast during your 30s turn but it is doable and worth it imo.

They stated in the French forum that remaking the UI for the nation market would take years.
It seems to me there is only half of a dev on the game, they are unable to make a mobile port.

Judging by the state of current Wakfu and comparing it to a close Ankama counterpart which is already on mobile (Dofus Touch), Wakfu mobile will need ALOT of UI revamps and we don't know if Wakfu dev team has that kind of resources. 

Dofus Touch for example, has an amazingly intuitive UI where each button does a specific function with no fuss or muss. Wakfu PC has a huge UI issue because each button has an additional sub menu and there are plenty of hotkeys needed to access certain menus not located in the sub menus as well.

Can't they outsource that work to another company?

They could but I don't think they will ever allocate any budget for a large scale project like that. They don't look at Wakfu the same way they look at Dofus.
