If the leader of the guild is inactive for 3 months, the leadership will be passed on to the next high ranked player. The guild leader will still remain a member of the guild. Ok
but, if the next high ranked player has been already same or more time inactive, will he be leader for another 3months or the system will pass to the next active player posible in another lower rank?

So just putting more alts in higher ranks wouldn't increase your save time, if no character of them was logged in in last 3 months.
