What would a MOBA-like Wakfu game be like?
By Mikaelxelor#5588 - MEMBER - December 01, 2016, 18:23:39What do you think of a Wakfu MOBA-like game?Don't blame me, I always do that (Try to imagine how some virtual universe - either from a game or a anime/cartoon - would be if it was like LoL or something like that).
For me, it's totally possible to do a funny and massive game of the Krosmoz Universe. That would be amazing. The characters could be either premade (like in Krosmaga, every summon has a name and a unique identity) or built by the player. In this second option, the player would be able to choose a class and select 5 out of 30 spells to take to the match (those spells can easily be changed to make the same they do on Wakfu, just with some modifications), being 4 actives and 1 passive, and 1 of those 4 would be the Ultimate (a spell from the last column of the current spellbook or, like I said, take some spells and change them a little). The Ultimate doesn't have to be a strong one, you can pick a regular spell, but you have to remeber it would cost more and have a higher Cooldown.
I thought of a Iop with this build:
-> Passive: Compulsion - Everytime you deal damage to an enemy, you gain +physical damage and +attack speed.
-> Spell 1: Blaze - Ranged spell that deals fire damage according to the distance (near, bigger). Has a chance to put the target on "Flaming" state. The closer the target is, higher the chance. "Flaming" is activated by that another state I don't remember, and it could be either provided by another spell, or some item, or even what they call "Summoner Spells", 2 general spells that everyone can pick and bring to the battle.
-> Spell 2: Intimidation - You know what it does.
-> Spell 3: Charge - You know what it does
(also stuns the target if it collides with the terrain)
-> Ultimate: Iop's Wrath - Strong AoE skill that does a lot of fire damage after a short delay and burns the enemies, activating the "Flaming" state and consuming it. "Flaming" state deals more damage based on how low the enemy HP is.
That's just an overview. There would be a element based system, and unique items with unique effects, but with a way better building tree system than LoL (items stats are fixed).
I'm telling you guys this because I'm working on a little project "Gamebox", a gaming client where you can build your universe (like Naruto Universe or Wakfu Universe) and program characters, their actions (spells) based on a MOBA-style gameplay, and other people could join and play in that universe. The good - or bad - thing is that users could create their characters from sketch, drawing them and importing to the platform, just as their spells and their particle effects, the graphics would be 2D, so even a bad drawer could draw their chars on paint and have fun representing any world of characters he wants and play with them
This is just an idea, and would be awesome if Ankama invested on a 3d game of the krosmoz. What do you guys think?
