Help my Pandora
By treevamp1#8526 - MEMBER - October 08, 2016, 16:48:15Just finished the level 160 sidekick quest last night and chose Pandora. This is how I've geared her so far:
What gear do you suggest to improve this? She's a healer with one damage spell (air). Should I give her a weapon that'll let her damage with another element?
Thanks!

this is my drop knight gear right now, at 185 ill update rings. bp, and relic (one of the rings will be kannibal ring and the other one the one you can see on the pic)
As for equipment, I haven't done a list for my own one yet, but maybe the one for Lumino might do the trick (one element, single-target and ranged; maybe items strictly for healing would be more of your choice, this one is for a balance of generic attack and healing. Limited to 10APs with this stuff):
ITEM:
Item name (Level required) //TYPE
Stats: CH = Critical hit, X damage (to Y elements), CHd = Critical Hit damage, ST = Single-target
Keep in mind that this was my "affordable items" list, not optimal, not perfect. There might be better budget alternatives, just adjust it to your goals. Check the encyclopedia, sort by equipment slot, and make a selection of your good stuff.
If you want a healing sidekick then go for either Lumino or Drop Knight.
Lumino has better base stats than Pandora since he does get Healing Mastery by leveling up and he also gets it from his passive and WP spell. He can push in line, revive allies, heal in an AoE and Night Light offers additional good heals with high range and low cost. Only down side is that it doesn't have a heal without line of sight.
Drop Knight is another decent healer. He's more support oriented than Lumino since he can buff/debuff different things depending on his 2nd highest mastery. He's also tankier than the other two and also gets healing mastery by leveling up.
There's also Krosmoglob, it has some really nice mechanics/spells but I haven't tried out that much.
I've been lucky enough to find Lumino, Krosmoglob and Protoflex on the kama market. However, I didn't feel too motivated about leveling them past 125 or so, knowing I'd be getting a level 160 sidekick once I hit 160 myself.
Well, at least Pandora bumped up my troupe rank.
Still, I'm curious about the comparison with Lumino. I have a lower level alt who'll be able to test both sidekicks at that low level.
in your case i would stick with pandora just because she's lvl 160
lumino is a good sidekick if you dont want to think a lot to play with him. he does his work well, but the cons are he only have 1 offensive spell
krosmo needs more skill to use, but its fun and efective
idk what to say about protoflex
oh and you also have drop knight that can do everything: heal, dmg, buff your ap and dmg
Sidekicks gain exp from environmental quests, at the same +30% rate as they do from combat, so if you're the proper level, Moon EQ's can level them up pretty quick, just takes some dedication and a strong main. The plus side is that on fighting quests, they don't have to heal, so free meat shield every fight.
As for protoflex, honestly one of the best purchases I've ever made on the market. At level 124, he gives a free 4 ap (2 ap each to the two closest allies) just for starting his turn with fire damage. For 1 MP, +135 mastery, -40 Resist from one target (castable twice a turn) if Fire is highest dmg. And, Heavy Blow, -30(something) resist to target per hit, for 3 ap (max -Res is 200). For a full combo he can remove around 140 Resist from one target, while buffing ally damage, and giving ap. And, he's naturally really tanky, so mostly you just need to buff his lock, give ap and mp from gear, and he'll be really helpful.
Took me several jaw dropped seconds to figure what the devil was happening. Hey, I'm an Iop at heart. I prefer slugging it out and taking my chances.
I still have to rune gear and get st'ki mask and ovapow ring on him.
Until 150 or so they are not that hard to level, but past that level it's quite slow unless you can find a party willing to allow you to take them with you into the dungeon for leveling. Same case for Tormentor/Flaxhid runs, being a non-environmental quest reward they can't get any EXP, unlike players.
You'll need: Booster pack, 2 high level characters (preferably level 200), a third character around 170 at least and friends to carry you.
My sidekicks:
and i recommend you using proto with drop knight, best combo
this is on "fire" mode, this way, and with drop knight, my fogger gets to 2100% stasis damage and 16 ap. On earth mode proto goes to almost 90% res, 100% block and around 4000 shield every turn. I choose drop knight because that SK have a delayed heal that helps a lot to make me last longer when i use fogginator (lose 25% hp at start of my turn, but delayed heal heals around 3-4k)
But yeah, krosmo is nice because it can change from attack mode to healer mode and does pretty good on both
