I like how people see riktus as a crook nation.. it isnt. Yes it was supposed to be but ankama just cur off the project.. aka the whole riktus thing is a failure, it is not even fun, it just gives people the rights to be a dick. Nothing more, riktus is just a nation filled with brainless fuckong assholes, it should be removed from the game since it doesnt add anything good, only new players getting pk'ed because of it.
Well, I play on Nox mostly, where myself and most Riktus are nice folks. Sounds like Remi is much different. Anyway, I don't really feel allied with other Riktus; it's more like we're a collection of anarchists.
As far as mechanics go, Riktus might be broken, but no more broken than anything else in game politics. It has one major mechanical advantage though: you can be in any guild and PVP, no matter how the guild is aligned. That's the main thing for me, even though PVP is hopelessly broken too. I like the idea of a bit of raider roleplay, even though I maxed farmer, lumberjane and herbalist long ago and do most of my harvesting on the islands or in my haven world.
Not to derail the conversation too much, but I tried to care about the nations, especially Sufokia. But on Nox, one faction of alt-voters was always declaring civil war on another group of alt-voters. They'd even eco-terrorize their own nation in protest, and people expected me to pick sides. At least Ritkus are supposed to be lawless. When ALL the mechanics are broken, embrace the very most broken!
Anyone who doesn't get the "point" of there being no "reason" for this style of gameplay, Doesn't know how Role-playing works.
There is no "point" to any of this for anyone, this is the game as a whole.
PvP in particular, has always been an unrewarding part of the game with little to no "point".
Now we have a superficial system that rewards pvp in place but it's weak and not important/ interesting or fair at all.
Couple that with the glaring flaws of the current system and it's just a hastily slapped together mess with shiny prizes for kicking people with their pants down.
Now here are the players who have always been around and use what measly tools are given to them to have "fun" in their own way and stir up some actual healthy conflict for the Remington community. Good job, keep having fun. That's the only way to stay in this game for the long haul. Find something you enjoy doing here and do it.

Some of us do get how roleplay works but we don't want to take part in it.
Would not care about them but they attack people in parties that are trying to level on the mobs in Moon, PVP immunity goes away if you attack a mob, pick a flower or plant anything so they just hang around the fight and wait for you to finish and kill you.

But it's still a fact that vast majority of best pvpers of all classes belong to riktus clan. and every single one of them could pk you in 1v1 fair fight and you'd still qq because you are too noob to fight back.
They don't care about PK, fair and competitive pvp is interesting and i'm sure majority of endgame players would sign up for a fight if they realised that they actually stand a chance.
imho calling someone a d1ck on the forum is far worse than pk in the game, so yeah.

Same difference. You get a central top guild with a bunch of friendly guilds into a national alliance, they become the lone PVP nation making up an enormous percentage of the top PVP players.
Borg, BBC, Cavalier and Epitaph already did that on Nox. It's pretty boring, most people have no interest in competing when the odds are stacked so horribly and will eventually retreat to safe zones when raided. Much salt will be flung, much boredom will be had.
Such is the problem with no competitive PVP system.

agreed, but riktus is still the minority in our server, looking at the wider scale.
In example, Best PvPer Osa is still Bontarian, just like the best Fogger. Eca might be Brakmarian, I think. Cra amaknian, Elio sufokian.
But the rest would likely all be Riktus. And there are only like 3 actual Riktus-dedicated guilds in whole server.
