Zadistforlife|2014-03-20 13:26:07Well I hope the culprits are banned alongside their alts.. If this results in a rollback I'm curious to what the compensation will be.

too frustrated *facepalms*
Can anyone tell me what was being done and how they were doing it? I'm just curious as to how Ankama allowed something in game that caused the servers to be "immediately" shut down.

Reminds me of the time Ankama told all players to stop exploiting the weakness of DP and anyone who did would be banned... Well no offense Ankama, but I do not see how you can ban a player that is solely using content that you have implemented! Next time, just double check what you have implemented in game!

I suppose exp and pp candy or few days free of charge even if , IMHO, it would not be enough.
I hope they can recognize every single duper and rollback just them :'(

Pakonitan|2014-03-20 13:22:04I will be so pissed if there is a rollback. Yesterday I just spent the whole day getting resources for my haven world's already ridiculous upgrade for the level 2 guild hall, so there will be no possible way to compensate for that.
I did my tormented helmet two days ago.

I wonder who will be more angry.

Since when is this a contest lol....
Seems like the only contest in Ankama land lately.
Then I choose not to participate in that contest lol. I think everyones time is valuable and saying who it hurts the most is not interesting at all, just sounds childish to me.
Ahhh the life of a Lazy Bow Meow..

if only you knew the agony of this game.
With in-fight Challenges being able to give you considerable wisdom boosts and the with the ridiculous Wisdom and PP cap Mea Culpa's are only really good for crafting experience. Doesn't really help those who dropped rare gear since the last update. Can't wait to have to drop my Emblem again.... with that 0.1% drop rate i'm sure it will be a walk in the park........ longest damn walk of my life.

The issue is the people who have been duping have interacted / sold / given gear away which means the gear is out there, so rolling back specific individuals is pointless.

That being said I have 2 Mea Culpas gathering dust on my Osa, I guess another one won't hurt! Bit disappointed though, I ran the new dungeon and dropped a few things.. I feel sorry for those who have been playing frequently, Ankama is a cruel mistress.
Mea culpa will never be an adequate replacement of the loss I will suffer if a rollback should be applied.
I hope all of this will resolve with a couple of ban here and there.
Really hope this! sleep

I know right? XD Pretty much have to have played since the beginning to appreciate the jaded games. I think of it as a weird way to express empathy.
sorry, someone know when reopen the server?

Even if players who have duped items have interacted /sold /given away them, the people who have bought those items have spent kamas that maybe are earned with "honest work". The problem is not the items duped in my opinion, if they are buyed with kamas earned honestly. If they will be able to recognize the dupers and they WANT to ban them, the problem will be solved.
Ok, someone can say "Yes but, in that way, people who have bought duped items could done that with moneys earner selling duped items...", in this case, they however will be banned as dupers first.
I hope you can understand my elementary english T_T

For my armorer lvl 100 too, i have spend a lot of hours for getting resources and items. Mea Culpa does not compensate really people who are dedicated to the work.
Call me crazy but I'm fairly certain that if you're on a suicide mission and expecting to be banned the very last thing you will do is accept a kama exchange

especially when you have been known for botting and probably have a means of duping kamas
Knew they were people duping XD I always see some "guilds" wearing rare drops on all their alts.

so sad..

Ankama finally caught up sleep
we should report these people more often

I hope there's a server rollback because the person probably traded all his duped pieces to alts/friends

This is how you can tell someone didnt read any related post or even comments on this one

that would require a rollback of AT LEAST ONE MONTH.
Server roll back? Perhaps, but I want to see the ban hammer used, a lot.

I read most of it, doesn't mean I need to read your posts
One month is fine if it cleans the server. In the beginning people will be angry but then they realize it's the best thing for the community and server. Some people don't like dofus or wakfu because of the community, if ankama doesn't clean the community they can lose subscribers.
You can jump up and down and scream for Mea Culpas all you like but the simple fact of the matter is you won't get another one. They are game breaking as hell and the instant they were released into the community Ankama knew it was a massive mistake.

Think of it this way: The compensation is you don't have to play in an environment full of cheaters using gear they payed for, when you have to grind hours upon hours to get it. The compensation is that Ankama aren't going to let these things slide and a rollback is to ensure the game is fair and the economy is unaffected by a mass influx of these illegal items and kamas, meaning all that time and effort you put into making your money isn't jeopardized. You may want free stuff for all that time you lose but the simple fact is Ankama are doing us a favour by rolling it back, when they could just patch the problem and leave whatever has been duped out there (which would be the easier option).

Sometimes a few of you really just need to put things back into perspective and step out of the little microcosm you ignorantly assume is 'the world'.
If they roll back one month I'm gonna be so depressed i just got my sram to 97( which is the highest I've gotten a character) and he didn't even exist a month ago D:
