Poisoned Chalice and masteries

By DancingFirefly - MEMBER - June 20, 2017, 01:01:55

Hi all!

I've been experimenting with a DPS panda. While I know I'll be at a disadvantage later on, it's good fun, and that's all I'm really going for. I did have a question about poisoned chalice however.

I know that it scales to my highest elemental mastery. What I'm uncertain however is how it responds to the other masteries. My question is, does it scale to the masteries based on the skill which applied poisoned chalice?

For instance, if I use Milking It, does the poisoned chalice count as a distance AoE in the case of using masteries? Or does it simply not benefit from these other mastery types?

That's a pretty good question. I also wonder if you can change the poison dizzy stacks from Single-target damage to aoe by ending with an aoe spell. I'm guessing that the dizzy works like Sadida's Poisoned Wind, which is an area spell that hits everything 2 away from center and only gives a poison (no actual direct damage). This spell is oddly described as Single-target which might hint that all poison could be Single-target.
If you have an aoe build then you might be able to test the damage difference to the dummy in Astrub starting zone by using the same gear but another non-aoe build. I suggest that you compare damage combos there and see if there is any difference.
