(PSA) How to support your sacrier!

By Suspect-- - MEMBER - March 28, 2018, 12:48:30

With the new changes to Sacrier and the removal of cling, a damage dealing berserk Sacrier now requires a lot more support than usual, as they no longer will have the impending death state, and so no safety net for their quickly dropping resistance from daring heart.

Now a smart Sacrier won't let that daring heart drop their resist too much, but sometimes such things are unavoidable, and so its best to have a back up.
If you play a Support Eni, Sadida, or Feca, then you are now the Sacrier's safety net.

Here are some common, and some uncommon ways you can support your sacrier!

Enirispsa's Generator: Yes not the Regenerator effect but the Generator, which comes from the Regenerator Passive, for every hit the sacrier receives, they will gain both Final damage % and Resistance! This is perfect for a sacrier especially using Daring heart, because at a max, the generator effect will give 160 elemental resistance, while daring can take away a max of 200, it effectively reduces sacriers resistance loss to just a mere 40.
The down side is that the sacrier must be hit every single turn to retain this, but this isnt a problem as sacrier is often in the middle of the battle, and even then a soft poke from an ally is never too much trouble!

Enirispsa's Hammle mark: This one i don't see used enough, if you're a damage dealer Eni then theres no point you having this in most cases, however, if you're a support eni with a sacrier on your team, then this is a blessing from the Goddess Sacrier Herself.
To those who do not know, when the Eniripsa is under the influence of Unnatural remedies, Hammle mark can be applied to allies to give them an effect called Flaming, Flaming is an explosion that happens at the start of the players turn (whoever has the flaming effect) that hits anything that is within hugging distance of the of them.
The Flaming is chromatic and will scale off the highest elemental mastery, but is also effected by Chance masteries such as Berserk and Backstab, and also if you have backstab on the target or sidestab, it also scales with final damage.
Not only that but one cast of Hammle mark will give it a base damage of 105, the effect does stack, but Hammle mark costs 5ap, so a normal eni will only be able to cast twice, for a base damage of 210.
But 210, is still pretty impressive
The reason why Hammle mark is so powerful however is that it scales off the Mastery's and Final damage of the target it is cast on
So a sacrier, with over 150% final damage, and potentially 4k mastery
Hits like a truck riding a truck.
Whilst situational, because the sacrier has to start its turn in close combat with a target, the eni could also push either the sacrier or the target twice to make the flaming work.
This is extremely powerful and honestly should be used more than it is.

Feca's Peace Armor and Immunity: Dont use Peace armor of Immunity on a Sacrier unless its 100% needed! casting either spell stops the progression of Daring heart and makes a sacrier unable to produce flame return! Stagnating its damage progression! Drip or Orb are far far more useful, and are beneficial at any time to a sacrier.

Feca's Magma: At the end of the holders turn who has Magma, Everything within three squares of the holder, when in line, is pulled towards the holder. Not only is this great for getting things in a Sacrier's lock, but just like Hammle mark the damage of Magma scales with the Sacriers final damage and masteries, making an effective end of turn hit, the base damage is much lower, but still worthwhile for something that will cost the sacrier 0ap.
The effect will also stack with its own side effect, if cast on a nearby ally first and then on the Sacrier, giving the sacrier 12% damage dealt for its turn.

Most importantly: Heal your sacrier!
Sacrier's that are zerking are now squishier than they have ever been before, Impending death is not there to save them! if they are low on hp bring them back up as much as you can, this goes DOUBLE for PvE!
A healed sacrier gets more daring heart stacks!
A healed sacrier can generate more flame return!
A healed sacrier can still do damage!
A healed sacrier doesn't die if the mobs decide to focus it!

Dont get me wrong but this is basicly for any char thats attacking from close who wants to keep staying that way and lacks protection. let me remind you unlike most others we can change our fighting style in the blink of an eye, we have our sustain, map manipulation and protection spells. Changes(nerfs) on cling will stop us abusing nuke the hell out of everthing biggrin. Basicly we will have to use our brain to stay effective or to "nuke the hell out of everything". As a sac player i respect and like the fact that u try to give us guides in team combs but i think we shoudnt be a damage dealing maniac thats a burden to his team imo happy. Even tho im kinda new to wakfu(coming from dofus so i know the mechanics) i studied a lot on sacriers and read lots of threads about them. I think ur suggestions are viable but not sacrier alike its kinda viable to all glass cannon chars who tends keep attacking from close, we are better than that. I might be fully mistaken tho since i havent experienced end-game content yet. These are my opinions overall.

You're certainly not wrong
Wakfu sacrier at endgame have two major builds
Tank and Berserker
A third major build that isnt really touched on, but something i choose to run, is a switch
Tank uses the bloodthirsty punishment
Berserker uses the bold punishment
Switch will interchange between the two

Tank wont have much trouble, as with the new cling changes, Tank is exceptionally strong
Berserk however doesnt have a safety net and all of its damage increasers rely on it losing health, The smasher passive gives 15% damage dealt but only if your hp is lower than your targets, angrr passive gives damage as you progressively let your hp fall
Daring heart gives you damage but only if you become squishier
All of Sacriers abilities to increase damage reduce its survivability, even the armor generation scales with hp lost.
and due to the fact that a damage dealer sacrier has no way to reduce damage recieved, in PvE specifically it will require assistance, as even its most potent spells, the fire tree, damages itself

A competent sacrier will not be a burden to the team, as they will time their bursts and not leave themself open to unnecessary damage, but such huge boosts with big draw backs need a buffer
