Air/fire Sac. A joke?
By ILLIDANSG - MEMBER - November 27, 2017, 15:14:14OK not to offend anyone but how does air and fire correspond with one another? Fire does not have any spells that would trigger motion sickness. And if your enemy has motion sickness debuff why use a fire spell? Its either you use one or the other. I'm trying to understand why this is such a popular build. Air/earth or fire/earth makes more sense because they have skills in each tree that could actually work together. Is it because its more versatile? The choice between range or melee? Just use attraction. I'd like to know the playstyle of fire/air, how to use spells from each elemental tree together correspondingly

is that a question ?
if you think that you can do better in another way you are free to do that;
noone will force you to make an unwanted build.
Btw if the question is about synergic ....no they are not synergic branches
a part from the combo assaultx4 + attraction + punishment in clinging life if you have motion sick
fire-air
each spell related to mobility (air spells +attraction+swap) reduce the cost of punishment by 1ap,meaning a cling turn would allow a give sac to spend their aps on air to deal the maximum ms related damage, and when no longer have spells to efficently trigger ms,they'd switch to fire damages and a cheap powerful punishment, this element combo offers the most damages against a single target, and an an easy damage-efficent backstab for maximising the fire branch,a good strat revolves around attacking the foe from distance with air, then when it's low enought, finish it with a fire burst.
air-earth combo is mostly known for the self MS+ aoe insanity, that asks team mates positioning to ever work,it kinda works, but only when given good aoes, otherise its rather underwhelming combo against a single target, and cling/bold punishment, being mostly best used with fire branch, won't offer extreme bursts, even if the damages are still good simply due to how many damage dealt a sac can stack.
earth-fire is better for extended fights against a single foe,but the two branches contradict eachother in the way where earth is about staying alive aslong as you can,and fire is about hurting yourself to hurt your foes even more, but the combo still offer somewhat a synergy non-the less,by stalling till 50% with earth then switch to higher fire damages with berserk.
i know a sac that switch the 2eles according to fight they're on,they tend to use air-fire much more often than the others
Fire/earth is actually more synergized than you would believe, shields get stronger when sacrier looses hp making it possible to gain huge armor scores while attacking with the fire element.

As for air/fire this build is the most damaged focused singletarget build that a sacrier can have. This build gives the sacrier extreme mobility combined with extreme dmg. Also like many habe mentioned air/fire synergy lies in the easy access of backstab while hitting with fires high base dmg, and the most important thing dealing respectable dmg while lowering punishments cost by 1ap for each mobility spell. On a lvl 200 a typical dmg rotation for a sacrier can consist of 2x assault + btf + punishment.
As for synergy in other elements feks earth/air the only synergy there is the application of ms + insanity. Another synergy is with the carrier passive where you will heal for each target with ms on them, kinda what i call the pure tank build.
Fire/earth is similar in the fashion that i explained at the start, but instead of higher dmg you will be having shields to survive longer. For a true fire/earth build you will have to gimp your mobility(basicly loose ms + lightspeed).
Tri builds tries to bring all these pros together, but ultimately will be limited by deckspace.
Then again theres no "do this build or bust" way for sacrier so you should build towards whatever that caters the most towards your own playstyle/liking.
is it a good choice to generate armour instead of fire punch when res going lower and lower(zerker)?
Did not mean to offend anyone. Sacrier is my favorite class although it is not my main. I love the character. I just wanted to hear other peoples opinions, advice and experience. Thanks for the replies. I will attempt to build a tri ele sac. Currently lvl 140
