As far as I know the flaming carpet glyph is considered single target as it only triggers for one enemy at a time at the start of the enemies turn.
The only spell/glyph that benefits from AoE dmg is the pheles glyph, which I generally find is not a very often used glyph, although quite fun to use if you have a sadida in your party. So in terms of secondary dmgs, single target all the way.
All glyphs affect a single target on the start of their turn besides the Pheles Glyph, which damages in a 2-block wide radius around the target that triggers it.
