joke aside , its because summon takes 80% total mastery of the osa . although it seems not much different early on , later on , that stat would give huge boost to the summon.
osa used to be able to summon 2 creature if you have enough control for it, but ankama decided to remove it since its too op especially in pvp content as well to balance the class along with the patches that its implemented
The reason was mostly of how hectic Osa were.. It's almost like the Sadida Doll build we have these days, no one likes them cuz they loiter the field and have pretty stupid AI, so did the previous summons since Osa could, at best, control one of them and required to use Animal Link every-godamn-turn.. There's also the fact that Osas were pretty OP due to this and were also very individualists as they had little teamwork with other classes, at least now they can buff allies as well since the Animal Link was re-purposed and as the first guy said they take 80% of your masteries and, before, the only masteries we had were elemental so now Osas can get A LOT of mastery done overpowering the summon, I mean, if you want to be fully summon based you could literally just spend your points in whatever gives you the most mastery, like spending on Berserk Mastery at Fortune, now imagine if an Osa could summon a Badgeroxxor and a Dreggon at the same time! There would be definitively a full Osa team meta.. Specially considering you could get the Rock passive to make the Osa himself tanky too while having a healer and a damage dealer as summons TOGETHER!
Hope that answered the question.. Tho' I am not fond of the summoner build myself, I prefer Dragon Osa.
because +1 is always ideal :p.
