Negative crit does not affect the Osamodas pet's critical chance.
Pets have a baseline 20% critical chance, with the whip, that's a 50% Critical chance. On top of that, the pet gets any +% critical chance the Osamodas have. But in my opinion, 50/50 is already a good coinflip, specially in endgame where you get inmensely rewarded by building -crit:

Well, I somehow got my badger to 100% crit rate with 13 points in crit rate. It depends on the build/equip though.
