that is correct. yeah you used to be able to summon 2 mobs but at the same time you couldn't be dragon form while summoning. now you can summon and be dragon form but the tradeoff is you can only summon one mob.

How exactly? Summon keeps the same damage-value even if summoner or summon are below 50% hp (because special damage gets converted into general).

Glad to see people are still using this guide. I still keep it updated, of course. There just hasn't been any game changes that require me to update anything. As of 4/20/17 this guide is still up to date. happy

Some of you were discussing berserker and backstab vs other points. Both are viable options. Like someone said it's all about preference. My goal with this guide is to give as much information as possible so people can modify the builds to fit their playstyle.

Hello.

Im new at the game and the questions are coming up just now haha.

Question: Since i do more damage with control, shouldn't i focus control After Ap and  before range or Mp ?

Score : 669
Ap is usually more versitile. You can use ap to do more dmg, more positioning and support...etc.

On the other hand, control only increase your dmg in dragon form and you usually have little time to buff everyone unless you're in a boss fight.

Thank you, really helped me out ^^
BUT I have one question... Why just 3/10 shield? Isn't 10/10 better?

It's optional. I personally don't like any points in it. But it isn't likely you'll get hit that many times a turn. 3 is enough to cover a few hits and save points to invest in other things.

Glad this guide has helped you!

Hi Eziekieal,
I was wondering if it's okay to just be a dual element non summon build? I just explored my little osa recently and I do see that I prefer air and fire instead of earth (unfortunately since earth branch is my favorite of all classes). I just don't plan to use summons initially but since what makes osas osas is the fact they can summon animals should I then also learn and get used to summoning as well?

Thank you for your contribution to the community,

Well you technically could play without summons. But there is zero reason not to have a summon out with you 24/7. There is no drawbacks to it, it only benefits you.

You can have it stand on the frontline and tank for you, or sit in the back shooting enemies/healing you.

Frees you up to play properly. Of course using the propery synergy with your summon will let you become the strongest kind of Osamodas.

And you're welcome! I wrote this handbook a while ago and still maintain it. I'm happy to see so many people benefiting from it.

Hey there. I've just started playing this game recently and I was wondering which of the two builds in the guide would be more "beginner-friendly" or better suited towards PvE? I plan on doing both of them for the versatility in different situations but I'm just not sure where to start.

As a new player you'll want to focus on your summon and dragon form. Osamodas support isn't high in demand, and if you need to support you can do it late game easily.

Dragon + Summon is definitely your best bet for PvE. Especially solo.

Good luck!

Hello @Ezekieal, thank you for this awesome guide. Can you help me?

I used to play Wakfu some 3 or 4 years ago. I always loved the Osa class and I quit after one of the revamps which made me extremely weak compared to how strong I was. I could solo almost any map mob that I went to fight with. And in dungeons I had a decent % of the final result.

Time goes by all and all, I boot up the game once again and something is really weird. I was able to destroy Black Wabbits with my Ocushu, I remember it'd take 2 or 3 turns in Dragon Form which made the summons weaker if you morphed into. Now I could barely stay alive against one Black Wabbit! That is, taking my distance (for the distance bonus) and my Ocushu did some 400ish damage. What is wrong? Am I weak to the new system? Did they buff or nerf something?I'm sorry, I know it's a lot and I barely remember how to heal my HP outside battle, I could't even find my Heal Items, lol.
  • My focus used to be Fire, because summon took from the strongest and Fire buffed the dragon form AND the Fire Spells could be used as buffs to the summons, which isn't the case any more as it seems.
I know my items arent the best to have, but I used to play with a few friends and we had a hard time to grow being few players. But as I said I remember I could destroy wabbits with my Ocushu, that's why I never bothered to get the Black Wabbits, since they seemed so weaker compared to my Ocushu. Here is my Abilities stat dist

Intelligence - Resistances 10/10. Barrier 3/10, Others % HP.
Strength – Distance Mastery 20/20. Others Elemental Mastery.
Agility – 20/20. Others Dodge.
Chance - % Critical Hit 20/20. Others Critical Mastery.
Major - 1/1 AP. 1/1 Control and Damage.

Summons may work differently from how they were when you last played.

First I would check your equipment as I believe the equipment change was after you last played. It used to have preset elements on your gear, but now it can have any element (just limited to the amount of different kinds). If your gear doesn't show it gives + elemental damage to fire/air/earth/water I would unequip it and reequip it (you will be given a prompt to select the elements). This of course is only if your gear is old.

Second be sure to use Boowolf Rage on your summon the turn it is summoned. That will boost its damage for several turns. Then you can transform and fight as normal.

Third check your control stat. This will determine your Dressage and Final Damage (in dragon form). Aim for at least 7 control. 10 if you can.

Lastly I would look into different summons. A good (though slightly old) guide can be found here: Summons

Your image link was broken, so I couldn't see whatever it was you wanted me to see. But I hope these things can help you figure out what's wrong! Let me know how it goes, I'm always around.

So keep this in mind. Summons %'s are now based on your own. There is no longer CMC damage that boosts them. They have 80% of your %'s (full explanation can be answered in the FAQ section of the handbook).

So be sure you wear the best gear to boost your own damage and it'll boost your summons up. So even a weak summon will have high %'s. BUT the base damage on their spells will still be low, so you will need to use the best summons you can for your level range.

Unequip all of your gear and put it back on again. You can see some of your items have a red background which means you are unable to equip them and are not gaining their stats.

Sorry for such a basic question, I tried searching for an answer but couldn't search this thread specifically-

Say my Osa is in front of a monster and my summon is behind it, would my summon deal the 25% rear damage bonus? How about if the Osa's and summon's positions were swapped?

As far as I remember the rear damage is based on your position for yourself and your summons position for them.

Hello, I've been away from wakfu for a couple of years, so I'm not sure of the changes made to Osa since then. I'm just wondering if the guide is still viable though it hasn't been updated for a while. I'm also restarting from scratch, so any pointers in that regard would be very appreciated. This whole new spell/deck system is very, very new to me :p

Yes, the guide is still up to date! I just started playing again myself. The guide should cover all the new changes, but let me know if you have questions (feel free to message me in-game if you see me too!)

Sorry for the delay! Busy month.

Someone told me that your pet inherits any Final Damage bonuses you have. Is this true? I feel like it can't be, because otherwise Dragon Form would stop penalizing your pet with even the slightest investment.

Incorrect. Your pet has reduced damage while you're in dragon form though. That's probably what is confusing them.

I would like to ask about what summons are worth to get at some lvls.
Im lv 90 and im still running with Rattler as i dont know if theres anything with higher dmg.
at 100 ill get green Jelly but what after that? What summons are worth getting starting from 100 to 200lv? Im playing solo if that matters.

i think on 90-100 you should use Beefy Borbat (tank) and Brrrbli (warrior) also nice is Slith coz his mobility (zinit summon).

After lvl 100 Ocushu on lvl 100 to 120 he is best tank with support spells: heal+3AP and totem (ally who is under totem power get +100 elemental maestry and +50 resistance)

After lvl 120 i cant say a lot coz now i just start test 120+ lvl summons

My summon stats are affected by my stats at the start of the fight or at the turn i invoke them?

Say i have 2k water at the start of the fight but i receive a buff and go up to 3k and summon my gobball or receive a debuff and go down to 1k. The gobball will have 80% of the 2k or 3k/1k?

Your summons stats are updated as your stats change in the fight. So if someone buffs your elemental damage halfway through a fight, your summons stats will be updated right away to reflect the change.

Hi !

Several questions. Why go "distance mastery" and then all elemental damage instead of going distance then zone ? It gives more damage to your summon doesn't it ?

Also... do pet's heals scale with their damage or should I spec into healing mastery ?

both strategy are good in other situation.
AoE+Distance will be better for pure fire element.
if you wanna play with air+2nd rear and most of osa play with air/fire. Elemental dmg as 2nd choice is better

80% of Osamodas' Secondary Damage

if you go on healing yours pet will get 0,8 of yours heal as his dmg. thesame like rear/bereserk/crit

Thanks a lot smile Makes sense.
