The "Official" We Want More F2P Content Thread!

By Thundra#1151 - MEMBER - March 04, 2012, 02:52:46
I got this idea from Ankama's sister game, Dofus. Someone made a thread about F2P wanting more content and figured since there seems to be a lot of complaining about F2P being too limited, this thread might be appropriate. I am not F2P, but that doesn't mean you can't have a thread to voice your opinions about it.

That being said, F2P players of the world, have at it! What do YOU want to see?

Let me be the first, F2P PLAYERS NEED MORE CONTENT!!!! And even you p2p players should see that because without paying, you know that you can't really do anything. Wakfu is suppose to be one of the greatest games ever made, and i still believe it will be, but they HAVE to give use some more content for free.

We need to be able to see what it's like in other nations and explore. We should have like a 30 day or 1 week trial to explore everything to see what its like and when that's over give use more content like said above. Wakfu will die if non-members don't have more freedom.

So you want the devs to spend time which the P2P players are paying for to add more content for the F2P players that aren't paying anything at all.

Because THAT'S a sustainable business model...

I'm not exactly P2P, as in I keep getting transaction errors; I do agree that F2P is severely handicapped.

Restricted from picking stuff up, you have got to be BSing me xD
Not to mention the complete segregation of F2P and P2P.

I don't think F2P should get the cities; they should be allowed to travel though as a tourist.

Other than the disabled basic interactions, I think everything else is okay, even the no professions and no kamas thing.

F2p can level and prepare for p2p, thats all you need. SO no just stop and either dont play or sub. It's 6 bucks or 7 doesnt matter...just stop complaining about something meaningless.

I think what the problem here is that "F2P" should really be called "Free Trial" because that's really all it is. Saying that it's "F2P" is really misleading. If it really were F2P, I'd say, "Hey, they need to add more content!", but I'm sure that's not what Ankama is going for here. It's really just a teaser into the real P2P game.

I would have to agree with GunjiClaws on the topic. Personally, they should change the giant "PLAY FOR FREE" to " Free Trial". It's extremely misleading. I'm a P2P player myself, but when I can't join a party with my friend who wants to try the game out first, it's a bit of a disappointment. It would probably be best to go with a free trial that allows someone to reach a specific level, but at the same time allow them to experience what Wakfu has to offer.. instead of limiting the new players so drastically. If it wasn't for Open beta, I wouldn't have subscribed to this game if I only had the experience gained from the so called "Free to play".

You know what, I agree. F2P players should have more. They should have the run of Astrub to do whatever they want just like they would be able to with the rest of the game. That way, they can experience everything the game has to offer without paying, and without ruining the paying players experience. Though they can only interact with f2p players outside of chatting. They would also get to see what it would be like if anyone and everyone could do whatever they wanted with your ecosystem.

If that kind of freedom won't tell them if they want to pay for the game, then nothing will and they should just give up on this game.
