Selling itens at the market.

By Dadiriz#3790 - MEMBER - April 17, 2019, 04:45:13
It would be very nice if Wakfu take a page from Dofus in regard of the market.. I just sold 200 stacks of itens in Dofus in like 5 minutes because there i just need to select the item and it will show the price that it's being sold and i just have to put 1 kama less.. In Wakfu i need to seach every item individually to see the price and then drag the item to be able to sell it..

Any chance of this being implemented on the game?

While "undercut everyone on the server by 1 kama" would probably make a lot of players mad, there are other more important problems:

1. You can only have 10 stacks on sale at once (unless you have a booster)
2. If someone put one of the items you want to sell at 42 billion kamas in a HW as a joke and you don't check before you sell, due to the tax being paid upfront, you might just go bankrupt by pushing that button.
3. Automatic undercutting would probably make the prices plummet if noone bothered to check what the current lowest price is

Why would it? That's how it is in Dofus and it works just fine..

"You can only have 10 stacks on sale at once (unless you have a booster)"

Can be increased also to 100, so they could be cheaper than 10 packs of 10, like it is in Dofus.

If that happens, that's not the game's fault at all..

I don't really mind the prices dropping, if someone choose to sell an item for half the price it is worth it, i'll just wait for him to sell his so i can sell mine (his loss), or i'll probrably just buy it myself to sell it for a higher price. And i wouldn't have to sit for 10 - 15 minutes to check every item indivitually so i know what the right price is.

Its unestable and unfair, there are moments when your item won't sell because of the "undercut by 1kama". Sometimes not only 1 but 2 or 5 other players decide to screw each other over doing the same, so your initial item sold by 1000k is now being sold for 990k and so on (just a rough example, on more expensive items the loss is bigger) AND after the cheaper ones are sold and yours is finally visible to the public, the cycle repeats, devaluatinf the item and "throwing into the trashcan" the hours and effort put into creating/gathering the item and leveling up jobs. It is worse if you paid a big tax. If you only care for the kamas then yeah, you can get money out of everything just by crashing the prices (who wouldnt buy something that's a lot below the average price?). Maybe that is why some players might feel mad about it.

The perfect market system, in my opinion, for an MMORPGs is Runescape's. Fast, easy, you don't see names and eventually your items are sold according to the price range and what the client can afford to pay.

Just a personal opinion about the experience of my character and some friends while trying to sell things at the market. Maybe it work for others.

Isn't this exactly how it works on wakfu now? Because someone put a initiate boots cheaper than mine on the market and it didn't even showed in the the list until i put the price lower than his.. Keep in mind that in dofus only itens that have exactly the same stats are replaced, like resources, gears most likely won't be swallowed and instead will show a big list of all different variations and prices that people put it in there.

If i'm desperate to sell something, i would just use the chat to announce like everybody else, the market is for people who don't mind waiting days to sell things, even if it means that someone else will sell his itens first.

WHY? WHY DO WE STILL NEED DO THIS? WHY ANKAMA? WHY??????

I just lost a co-op partner when she realized she couldn't simply sell to a merchant (which is understandable and an interesting approach) but had to search for every item price individually, she literally felt disgusted. Can't Ankama realize it's too much of a hassle? We need more QoL to keep the interest of new people joining (I really can't stress this enough).

Sorry, but I'm really pissed off by the negligence of QoL, specially since they charge us monthly "to not lose half our time spent" in the game.

If the problema is people needing to constantly remove from listing to put it again at lower price whenever someone lowers it "by 1kama", just charge that person the 10% tax, BUT allow them to remove after a few days, maybe (i.e., listed for 7 days can remove after 1 day, listed for 30 days remove after 3 days).
