Wakfu won't launch

I start the launcher and when i press Play for Wakfu and for half a second it shows launching and after that it goes back to the play button and nothing happens. I tried everything i saw in forums and nothing helps ... i need a solution please !

I have the same problem! I didn't have this problem before when Wakfu had it's own launcher and I also did not have this problem when my windows 7 upgraded to windows 8 and few years later upgraded to window 9 or 10. This is load of diddlydoo.

I've usually found Java to be the problem. Under task manager you should see Java Open JDK running in the background. If you don't see it running then the game doesn't allow you to play it.

Can you explain how to get it running? I never had to open java JDK before to play before but maybe it was happening without my knowledge. I also have a mac so I am not sure if that will be a factor. But I only have Java v8 on here and I can't seem to get Ankama to use it, it keeps using it's internal java (which is also 8 so I still don't get why it doesn't work)
