This new Ouginak has new mechanics built around Prey and Were-Ouginak, so you will need to learn them in order to properly play the class.
FURY: You will now generate FURY from several different methods
- At the end of your turn, you will gain +15 FURY if you've hit the PREY.
- Alternatively, the OPEN SEASON passive will grant it instantly on hit.
- ASSIMILATION (passive) grants +4 FURY per poison trigger
- RELENTLESS (passive) grants +4 FURY per MP reduction
- PURSUIT grants +10 FURY when successfully jumping
- SNIFFING (Bow Wow) grants +5 FURY when cast on an ally
TRACKER: You will now generate TRACKER from a couple of methods
- Each 1 Level grants +1% Damage Inflicted (max +60%)
- At the end of your turn, +15 TRACKER if you have struck the PREY.
- Alternatively, the OPEN SEASON passive will grant it instantly on hit.
- CANINE TRACKING (passive) grants +10 TRACKER if you end next to the PREY.
- It also changes the effect to +2 Resist per level if you do this.
WERE-OUGINAK: This state has multiple uses:
- You will gain +50% Damage Inflicted while this state persists
- You will consume 1 FURY per AP/WP you spend on elemental spells
- When returning to normal, you will get all of your WP back.
- You can cast it while at 0 FURY to instantly get all your WP back.
- It has a 3 turn cooldown.
- Some passives will give extra effects while in this state.
BOW WOW: This little guy follows you around and helps you out.
- You control him
- He gets 6 AP, 4 MP
- He gets 30% of your MAX HP, your resistance, your dodge, your WP, and your mastery.
- He does NOT get your DI or passives.
- He can cast all elemental, WP cost spells you have in your deck.
- FLAIL (HP stolen goes to the OUGINAK instead)
- BRAWL (the state is applied until the end of his next turn)
- PUGNACITY (the poison is applied by the OUGINAK)
There are 5 builds that I believe are viable with this new rework:
BRUTALITY
This build uses area+melee and no poisons. It will use the BRUTALITY rune and focus on hitting multiple enemies as much as possible.
ANATOMY
This build uses full rear mastery and no poisons. It will use the ANATOMY rune and focus on taking down enemies one at a time from high backstab turns.
HYBRID
This build uses melee/st mastery with direct damage, and can also use poisons. It will use the STEADFAST rune and focus on alternating between poisons and direct damage.
POISON
This build uses elemental mastery to deal high poison damage. It will use the ELEMENTAL CONCENTRATION or INFLEXIBLE II rune to focus its air mastery.
TANK
This build uses defensive stats and force of will to remove MP from enemies.

A complex spell which allows you to have a target jump to another target's front at the start of their turn. The jumper will not jump if the front is taken, and you can switch who is the jumper for 5 FURY. Very useful for moving the BOW WOW or a priority enemy to a new spot.

A passive which allows you to generate TRACKER faster by ending your turn next to the PREY, and also trades all of the DI from TRACKER into 2 resistance per TRACKER level. It's a massive loss in DI, although, you can choose not to end next to the PREY to get your DI back for the next turn. However, if you combine this passive with OPEN SEASON, your TRACKER stacks will be converted back to DI when you hit your PREY. You could then simply end next to the PREY again to get resistance. That combo makes this passive worth taking in some scenarios, however, you would lose out on DI for poisons outside of your turn.

A passive which causes your BOW WOW to copy each of your spell casts on the same target, so long as he can reach and has line-of-sight on it. It's potentially very strong if you have the team to help you set it up, but otherwise it will be a burden. Poison spells will not stack with themselves, and the BOW WOW will no longer be able to cast any spells whatsoever. He also doesn't get any of your DI, meaning his damage output will be very low.

and so on...(Too many IFs to follow)
but even if you collect all the dmg inf. buffs, turns out damage you do is not much higher than what you did pre-revamp. And at this point player questions himself: - "why struggle with ouginak if i can chose iop/sram/enu/etc. and possibly deal more dmg for less effort".
I'm playing brutality ougi and i didn't see much improvements in gameplay and damage output.
(maybe someday i will buy melee/st gear to test out poison build)
