Setup/Rules:
  • The tournament will take place on the Beta server. Players from all servers are welcome to join.
  • Teams will consist of up to 3 players
  • No class duplicates (only one of each class per team)
  • Level 150+ required for entry
  • Heroes are allowed, however sidekicks are not allowed.
  • Consumable items are allowed
  • You may substitute one player from your team with another player (one that isn't in the tournament), but ONLY before your team's 2nd match.
  • Battles will take place in Ecaflipus, within the 9 battle arenas located there
  • The map order will be as follows: (repeats)
  1. Max Bay
  2. Lukewarm Basin
  3. Quick Jungle
  4. Garbage Peak
  5. Floating Forest
  6. Waterfall Chase
  7. White Slab
  8. Monastery Dome
  9. Holey Mine

  • All matches will be a best of one, however...
  • We will be using a Double Elimination bracket style tournament setup. This includes a winners, and losers bracket. The bracket has to change sizes based on how many teams sign up, but here's an example of a 9 Team bracket. This means every team must lose 2 times to be eliminated.
  • We're using a customized time-limit system, explained here:
  • Time Limits:
  • Round 1: 20 minutes
  • Round 2: 20 minutes
  • Round 3: 25 minutes
  • Round 4: 30 minutes
  • Round 5+: 35 minutes
  • Grand Finals: 50 minutes
    • Now how do we determine who wins at the time limit? Because of Wakfu's tank meta, it's important for us to use a time-limit system. It's difficult to come up with a complete fair system, but we've come pretty close. We use the "point system", one where every class is given a rating from 1 to 18. The rating given is determined by how much each class is capable of stalling matches. Lower points means they excel at stalling, and higher points means they stall less. At the end of the time limit, the points for each team (based on the classes they have) are totaled (based on remaining fighters) and the team with the most points left wins. More often than not the match ends way before the time limit, though, so this is just a precaution.
    • POINT SYSTEM:
    • Minor adjustments have been made to balance out the point list.
    • 23 =Feca
    • 25 =Sacrier
    • 27 =Pandawa
    • 31 =Sadida
    • 33 =Masqueraider
    • 37 =Eniripsa
    • 39 =Ecaflip
    • 43 =Osamodas
    • 49 =Ouginak
    • 51 =Sram
    • 57 =Xelor
    • 61 =Foggernaut
    • 63 =Eliotrope
    • 77 =Huppermage
    • 73 =Iop
    • 79 =Enutrof
    • 81 =Cra
    • 87 =Rogue

  • In game bugs and false starts:
    • If something goes wrong when you start the match, there are no do-overs. You will have to live with your mistakes. If there are any bugs that occur during combat, there's nothing we can really do since, a lot of bugs are reproducible and I'd hate for someone to abuse that to get free restarts.

See you in the arena!

Pfffff, you clearly have not face tank Sram, Ouginaks, Eliotrope, Huppermage, Iop, Cra and Rogue. All these class have strong heal / sustain even at low level pvp. Not to mention armor regen and barrier spells.

edit: looks like you've adjusted the list, it looks a little better now, but still, stalling is generally applicable in 1v1, penalizing someone just because they're using a class they like seems like a bias tournament.

a simple rule such as limited one per class per team would work be much better.

Players are already limited to one class per team as stated in the rules:

  • No class duplicates (only one of each class per team)

The point list isn't designed to be biased in favor of any classes, it's only there as a precaution in case anybody attempts to stall the fight out. Tankier classes are much better at stalling fights in 3v3.

So if team has less stall in their team and does actually stall on time when they see they are losing, they will make themself win. Mind you on big maps eliotrope can infinetly stall the combat, while sadida stall only work in 1 v 1. Not to mention sadida gameplay require build up that takes up time by itself - its not like sadida can do anything about it. Play lone sadida? Not thank you might as well pick to play cra - more dmg, range and less "stall points" in your table. Bummer to be "worse" in your eyes. This is so biased, but good luck with the event, for sure its better then battlefields.
And seriously the gap between 67 and 3 points is MASSIVE. A rogue in team can bypass armors and wreak sadida, but oh no if rogue happen to be killed it will still win if the fight takes too long? Thats stupid, sorry. I understand the need but yeah, the point difference is too big. And its not like eniripsa is gonna do anything but healing in teams. Also you should simply not allow more then 1 "tanky" class in teams and get rid of stall point you made up. Or give less points if the team consist of 2 or 3 tanks and is stalling with no intention to do damage. Don't get me wrong but a team made up of osamodas or above on your table is gonna be the winners.

I was actually interested in this event until i saw the point system. Seriously i have yet to see sadida capable of stalling 3 v 3 when people can simply focus damage on the UP and the sadida afterwards.

But all the other rules you created are looking good, so have fun and take notes from this event to make better decisions later on.

The points counted at the end of the match are only based on the remaining living players. For example, if the rogue is killed then that team will be out 67 points.

The point of Eniripsa's low points is as you said, they mainly heal in combat.

Sadida is more of the same case. Healing and armor with low damage output. If the Sadida chooses to use dolls, then their opponents will be even more overwhelmed.

Point values are designed to balance out your team. If you wish to play with a Sadida on your team, you aren't being punished! You're just more incentivized to add some more DPS oriented classes such as Rogue, Iop, or Cra.

You have at least 20 minutes in the early rounds, and as the rounds increase the timer does too. This is more than enough time for any team to prove it's superiority over any other with stalling being only a cheese tactic that we have to prepare for in the rules.

There have been complaints about the differences in points being too great between the top and bottom of the list, so adjustments have been made.

The list will probably stay the same for now. Rogue is only worth about 4 times the points of Feca instead of 20 times the points. All the classes are much more balanced now on the list.

I've started to get some teams signing up which is good news!

Careful with Enutrof on the point system.
