Forced PVP. Is that really necessary?

By vegang0y - MEMBER - May 25, 2017, 23:38:59

Forced PVP is when you are randomly attacked even if your pvp is OFF. It's just really ridiculous and sad to see some people doing that, because this game does not have a very well-balanced pvp system. And even if it was well-balanced, why do the pvm-oriented players have to be engaged in an undesirable fight?

I was attacked for the second time by Yunru. In the past, I was attacked by other pkers before. I really like wakfu, but these "incidents" just turn me down! A few hours ago, there was a Riktus group ambushing people outside the Nyl Dungeon. They attacked my eni (lvl 183) and a feca (lvl 167).  Both of them did not have their wings up, so I wonder what they win with that. Do they need attention or something? I was thinking of getting a booster pack, since I am on vacation, but I am no longer motivated enough. Some other people (who were attacked as well) and I have already sent a ticket to Ankama. I have all the printscreens and some witnesses if necessary. Now let's hope they can do something about this! We should not be prevented from playing because of forced pvp.

Hello!
Interresting, I thought that on Remi PKing wasn't so widespread...

Might be just my opinion, but while forced pvp can be abused for attacking wingless, immunity can be abused as well - epecially now that we have archmonsters that appear only when clan member's wishes are fulfilled, imagine some jerk terrorizing higher level islands, he won't even become outlaw.. OR you are mining and someone is following you picking up all the shinies, and you cannot do anything about it-

This topic always pops up, but even though I was PKed a lot as a lower level, I still say that until they figure out something entirely different (and as effective as PK), it should stay part of the game mechanic.

On Nox we have a lot of PKers (even though it's getting better lately for some reason), and I learned that it depends only on you as a victim, and your mindset, how stressful it will be. Just give up as soon as they attack if you aren't interested in pvp. Maybe a bit fatalistic - but seriously, what does it cost you? Two osa powders, a bit of time?

Or, as someone mentioned on this forum before, join their guild biggrin (well, I did)
Maybe you'll even start to look at things from a different perspective.
It's just a game, so relax  : )

Cheers,
Tarant Cogs⚙

I just want to hear more about other people's opinions. I am sure I am not the only one who thinks that the PVP system does not work well.

yea, do you know what happened prior to that? THat you don't say. Lonesomeranger (well, the user of that account) attacked my ENI (without the wings up, of course). So many cowards!

I do personally like how my name was mentioned above all others, and I appreciate that. It isn't unusual for civilian PK or Non-Wing PK'ing to occur! In a game where PVP is of absence or null and void unless caused by provoking others then I am sure you can see why it's a commonality that comes with our PK system. To complain about such is basically 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf.' This is not the first, nor the last forum post about the trivial issues you pose. The biggest thing to look forward to, and hold a torch to is the oncoming PVP revamp to which I say good luck Ankama. These 'rules' that Ankama has for our current PVP system has been in place since Alpha. Do not expect sudden change for someone who does the exact same, and only cries about it when he's not included in the debauchery. I do look forward to seeing you on the battlegrounds my [Insert Dank Meme]! (As far as the Lonesomeranger business. Is it not just as low to retaliate in the same format it was instigated ;] ).

Pkers like you only attack the weak, the ones that are not really prepared to fight or have a chance to win. That is the easy way to get merit... I don't know how you can feel proud of yourself for doing this. It's just ridiculous. Just leave us be! Go find PvP players, dude. Or are you afraid to lose? hahah

Just become a rikitus yourself. Problem solved :O.
Reason I'm saying that is most pk'ers are Rikitus(Due to the fact, it's a pvp only nation). That's what I've seen. Especially, if you're not interested in PvP'ing.

Well since I doubt anything will change about that, I'd say you will have to deal with it. Look at me. I'm still low lv and have been attacked several times (while Quests in enemy cities, leveling grounds and w/e) but it doesn't bother me. If someone finds it funny to kill someone like me far below their level, so be it. I'll be looking for another place then, or face another game for the time being. If you're showing them you don't care, it's usually much less fun to PKers and trollers, since they expect a reaction - even though it's negative. They get their ego from opponents emotions. Stay calm about it and go about your business ignoring them, and some time they probably will leave you alone. Worked in other games for me and alrdy succeeded here too
