Critical Hit Damage (Bonus)

By Shreder87 December 25, 2012, 20:03:16

How work Critical Hit Damage? (i have 55% from hurl set)

example spell dmg at ch = 120
stats bonus 340%
Critical Hit Damage 55%
this work:
A? (120 + 340%) + 55% = 528 + 55% = 818
B? 120 + (340 + 55)% = 120 + 395% = 594

Critical Hit Damage, from what i know, is the same as Damage bonus, wich apply only when Critical Hit happen.

what about backstab?
Assume you have 500% elemental attack using a 60 base attack
Also that your are going to crit while hitting the targets back
What would be better 50% crit damage bonus OR 50 backstab bonus.
Noone seems to know this exactly

I always just thought that it goes by this equation

100%(base)+[50%(crit)*crit bonus]+[25%(backstab)*backstab bonus]

(side damage actually does +10%)

so if you hit with a 100% crit bonus in front, that would be 200%base

im not sure if you hit a 100% crit bonus behind target with 50% backstab, that would only be 237.5%?

or is it 200*1.375 = 270%.?

Both Backstab damage and Critical hit damage are damage bonuses that are added to your elemental mastery when their conditions apply.

For example: You had 545% Earth damage, 40% Backstab damage, 45% Critical hit damage.

*If you get a backstab with no crit your earth mastery is now: 585%.
*if you get a backstab with a crit your earth mastery is now : 630%.
*If you don't get a backstab and you don't get a crit your earth mastery will still be 545%. And so on.

P.S. By default Backstabs have a multiplier of 1.25 that is applied to base damage while Critical hits have a multiplier of 1.5.
