Hi there,

I wanted to give you information regarding the Rogue.

The logic is: if a bomb can explode directly on the player, then I have to consider it as a classic aoe spell (maybe even nerf it, since there can be a mechanic when the bomb is placed), which means that the bomb mechanic becomes anecdotic.

The rogue then becomes nothing more than a second Cra.

The second solution is to consider bombs as spells that cannot directly explode (without remote control), which allows us to consider these spells much differently.

This is the choice that was made, and to compensate this constraint, bombs currently have a big bonus on their damages.

So now I have 2 solutions:
  • Revamp the first, which I personally think is a mistake and would remove all peculiar mechanics of the Rogue. This would allow you to cast bombs directly on the target, but the damages would be significantly reduced.
  • Keep the mechanic as it is, forbidding directly explosions (direct targeting, explosion with Boombot, etc.) and work on improving the gameplay possibilities in order to help their positioning. This allows us more flexibility on the damages and their effects.

And with a bit of objectivity, I think we can all agree that a character that can use 10 AP and 2 MP to deal 194 damages in a huge AoE, plus removing MP, all with a correct Range is kind of imbalanced.

OMG, LOL, WTF? What the hell is that? I hate new fire rogue's gameplay, but that? And now, what I can do? Firewall all the time? In all situations? Using remote control is not fair, change on boombot too, Ankama already destroyed magnetic claw, and now that? I don't want megabomb, I want blaze back, I could do something in normal situations, and now in some situations I can't do nothing :/

More than month there was some class revamp and then you just simply couldn't set dmg for spells.... And now you need to change that...

Not that I am playing a Sram, but I have to agree with this - most likely ironic - statement.

One of the last factors that make Srams desirable has been taken out of the game now. I can't think of any occasion I'd want a Sram in my group now...

Fire Rogue nerfs seem odd as well. I mean the fire branch is incredibly strong and probably needs some form of nerf (most people never realized the potential of the fire rogue I think). But using Boombot for all kinds of shenanigans was kind of what put the fun in the class. Now it will be very monotonous and boring to play. You should consider just nerfing the damage values maybe.

Kama nerf and the way runes are being overhauled everything has been said about I guess. At least you thought of a few Kama sinks, but it won't be enough. I can promise you that.

At least I am excited about the new island, although it strikes me as odd that there are informations about fire sets stronger than Mamog leaking.

Air Branch: Some spells have been rebalanced in order to reduce the damages when pushing and increasing the base damages.

Kickoff: To give it more modularity, its cost has been changed from 5 AP to 3 AP and damages reduced from 52 to 32.

Why? why make air weaker than it already is?

I'm really happy for that nerf, there is full of noob srams that use that branch to simple-kill others classes.
Go to learn how to play classes! Or choose another op char, they are not here to ruin our reputation.
I'm an Air Sram, with a broken invi build, but in my server, I beat all srams I know.
so, players just need skill to win.

I hope we get at least 6 slots in gobgob, after all with a summon osamodas, we will have 1 extra Wakfu with no use if all our summons die in a long fight.

Good thing you lash out at me without knowing anything about my skill. When I talk about the use of a class I talk about UBs and high end dungeons and with that change I don't see any reason to take any Sram there anymore. The reasons to take one were slim enough already.

Nobody cares about PvP anyway, it is useless and air Srams only win there because they annoy the fuck out of anyone fighting them. I'd rather bash my head against a wall for a solid 15 minutes than play "Where is Waldo?" with invisible Srams. It is an entirely idiotic mechanic.

But yes, please tell me more about how useful single target melee chars are against Moowolf, Excarnus or Black Crow. (The Sadida change might actually boost single target chars a little, but we gotta wait a little to say more about that)

I don't want to be overpowered, and don't mind the diddling of stats to fix issues like that, but please stop removing rewards for tactical thinking.

First beacon using cras lose their chain reaction, punishing people that wanted to use beacons intelligently for an edge, limiting us to the 'click the enemy to win' gameplay. In my opinion it would have been better to nerf direct attacks, and leave the beacon system intact, if damage output was the issue.

Now rogues can't set bombs off by knocking them together, so you're limited to using detonate, which requires no planning. I don't see why this was needed at all. If it's some PvP thing, opponents could 'see it coming' anyway.

I do hope the quests will still give XP rewards, not just kamas. If they don't, I'm no longer interested in quests that don't involve NPC's and interesting plots. I only do them for the XP and items for now.

Other than that, the changes seem mostly positive. I have been (very) pleased with most of the class changes.
