Gobbstock Festival: Sing About WAKFU!

By [Ankama]WAKFU - ADMINISTRATOR - June 17, 2022, 16:00:00
AnkaTracker Announcements

Hear that bellowing sound echoing through the rivers and mountains? It's singing (or possibly screaming) coming from WAKFU, audible as far as the Sureberry Fields! Tune your instruments, warm up your pipes, and assemble your busking troupe, because it's gonna be poppin' like your eardrums: the musical event of the year kicks off with a bang!

A very special Gobbstock…

Year after year, the Gobbstock Festival gives everyone the chance to explode shine like a star. This year, the most melodious event in the World of Twelve will be taking place from Friday, June 17 through Sunday, July 17, paying tribute to your favorite game and the 10 great years it's been around!

As you might've guessed, the theme of this edition is none other than WAKFU: from your childhood memories to your present ambitions, from your high points to your iopish mistakes, there's bound to be a poetic side to the way you tackle the World of Twelve. You can finally show those false-ettos that YOURS is the best singing voice of all!

On that note, there are two noteworthy details this year: Ankama will be in charge of selecting the lousiest loveliest tunes, and the two servers Rubilax and Pandora will be divided. Therefore, the international communities will face off, and then the French-speaking community.

Before you start doing vocal exercises, let's clarify the conditions for participating.

Rules for Participation

  • The theme must be observed: WAKFU (the game).
  • Entries may be produced by three players (private individuals) maximum.
  • Participants will choose between 2 categories: "Original Composition" and "Cover".
    • There will be 3 winning entries per category and per server.
    • You can only participate in one category.
  • Entries must be uploaded to YouTube and then post it on this thread, along with the following:
    • Each participant's Ankama nickname (e.g. Nickname#1234)
    • The category you're registering in
    • A link to the video
  • By entering, you certify that your entry complies with our Terms of Use and agree not to promote activities that would violate them.
    • Non-compliance may be sanctioned.
  • The jury reserves the right to revoke any entry at their discretion.
  • The jury may choose a "top pick" out of the songs for each server.

The jury will consist of several Ankamians, including community managers.

Prizes

For each winning entry, the creators will receive:

  • The pack for the next update (containing a 30-day booster and themed cosmetic items)
  • A unique title related to the entry
  • A house in the nation of their choice (unless they already have one)
  • The Wodent Costume (if they already have one, they can choose a costume from the shop)
  • The Sitar emote

For a potential "top pick", the song's creators could win:

  • The pack for the next update (containing a 30-day booster and themed cosmetic items)
  • A unique title related to the entry
  • A house in the nation of their choice (unless they already have one)
  • The Darth Wodent Costume (if they already have one, they can choose a costume from the shop)
  • The Sitar emote
Now, belt it out for all to hear!

Why is there only one winner for the Original Composition category on Rubilax, when you said there would be three? Was my song that bad?
