I buy Lootboxes to get things for my OWN personal use, If I can or not make money out of it is totally secondary.

That being said, please do something different with Loot Boxes, your's are totally unfair. In other games at least you are guaranteed to not get duplicated items or some kind of currency in case you do to use at the shop and get the item that you are looking for.

When I tried the box which had the Flying walk Animation it was a complete waste of money, out of the 25-30 boxes that I bought the only things that I got were emotes and consumable items when we know that the main appeal of that box (and the reason why EVERYONE bought it) was to get the Animation, not potions.

This box has better items than the previous one and some are appealing (out of the already seen ones), but in the end is the same. I don't buy Lootboxes to get duplicated items.

really ankama you gave me a warning for speaking against loot boxes. There is a reason why governments around the world are taking keen interest in banning them.

Then again, that depends on a country's laws and not how they handle video games per se. RNG is part of every video game nowadays, can't really be considered "gambling" if you have some common sense (not like Belgium's government, that is)

.. eh countrys are activly around the globe eather introducing laws to ban them or invgestigating to ban them. list includes fin, aus, Uk and so on..

also it is gambling its a wager of money against decired outcome. You can gamble without having actual money on the line (wich many of the games actually have by the by indirectly granted but still there.)

also in game rng is fine rng with paid items no its just so damn probelmatic from people prone to addiction to children introduced to casino mechanics that it boggles the mind how this have not been reigned in faster.

youre mixing in game mechanics for games monetisation Theres a grand canion sized diference there.

This is not "gambling" if you control yourself and don't buy hundreds of boxes. If you can't control yourself, then you have a problem, not the other way around...  by that logic, shooting games are responsible of people killing each other, right? Makes total sense... except it doesn't. Plus, you can just play the damn game and buy whatever you want using virtual currency (and yet, everything here is just cosmetic... there's not even a pet).

The point is that gambling mechanics involing real life money have no place in any game ever. Its predatory monetisation mechanic designed to pray on thouse with addictive personality you dont need to do more than 1 min of googling to get all info related to it the indstry spokepeople them self hold seminars where they explain how its and why theyre pretty damn praisen about it.

why would you defend practice that is clearly immoral is beyound me but you do you.

Also you do realise that comparing monetisation mechanics to gameplay mechanics is still pretty darn daft idea, but im gona put it to really clear terms; Shooting games do not make money out of people shooting stuff irl. Gambling monetisation in games does. THAT is the vital diference there.

Yes, it literally is gambling. If you cannot control your gambling, then they call that an addiction.

You literally have no clue as to what gambling is. Perhaps a Google search for a definition might assist you.

Your logic doesn't have sense and you should totally check the definition of gambling on Google. Your argument is as mediocre as saying "Fast food isn't the problem and bad at all, the problem is on the people who abuses it" while ignoring all the negative effects that they can bring to your body. According to your logic, age restrictions in Casinos are also useless and should be lifted.

Lootboxes are Gambling, they are the same as playing in a Slot Machine. There is no other way around it. "The activity or practice of playing at a game of chance for money or other stakes".
