Devtracker News
Tomorrow we are celebrating the two years anniversary of WAKFU the MMO. On this occasion, we have prepared some gifts for you!

To celebrate the festivities as it should, here's what we've put together!

Double XP

Starting tomorrow until Sunday, you'll get double combat experience on all servers! Giving you plenty to blow 2 candles for your MMO with twice the efficiency... And as our International Community is in many different time zones we have adjusted the double combat experience period as followed:

  • Remington: Start: 2 PM GMT / 9 AM EST / 6 AM PST on the 28/02/14 until 10:59 PM GMT / 5:59 PM EST / 2:59 PM PST on 02/03/14
  • Nox: Start: 3:00 PM PST / 6:00 PM EST / 11:00 PM GMT on the 28/02/14 until 11:59 PM PST / 2:59 AM EST (03/03/14) / 07:59 AM GMT (03/03/14) on 02/03/14

The "Pioneer Pack" for all our Pre-Subscribers

As for all the "Survivors" as described in the October update, starting tomorrow, all "Pioneers" players who had pre-subscribed to WAKFU before its launch on February 29th 2012 will receive a "Pioneer Pack" at their character connection or creation of a new character, which will include the following:

  • The Pioneer Costume (replacing the Pioneer Set)
  • The Pioneer Title (for the 3 months pre-subscribers)
  • The "Wave a Flag" emote (for the 6 months pre-subscribers)
  • The "Open a Scroll" emote (for the 1 year pre-subscribers)

Happy anniversary to all and see you tomorrow for a few extra surprises!

I don't quite get the 'survivors of october' reference...

This was just to remind who they were and how we have described them during that update. smile

As for all the survivors during the last day of October update, starting tomorrow, all "Pioneers" players who had pre-subscribed to WAKFU before its launch on February 29th 2012 will receive a "Pioneer Pack" including the following:

The Pioneer Costume (replacing the Pioneer Set)
The Pioneer Title (for the 3 months pre-subscribers)
The "Wave a Flag" emote (for the 6 months pre-subscribers)
The "Open a Scroll" emote (for the 1 year pre-subscribers)

^ Does this mean those who subscribed before the launch will get these items? or the year after?

It means that the ones who had subscribed before the launch date of February 29th 2012 will received these gifts.

It is a sort of recognition for being part of WAKFU even before its launch.

Weak sauce. I understand the need to reward pre-subscribers but nothing for anyone else? Why do I give a crap about this anniversary now? I don't.

At least in Warcraft they were smart enough to let everyone feel included. How hard would it have been to give everyone who "logs in" to Wakfu during the anniversary a title or achievement?

We are surely not forgetting any of you who had joined us after the launch date of WAKFU, as this double combat exp weekend is for everyone.

We also have more surprises coming for you, so stay tuned tomorrow and get prepared for the celebration. smile

I don't quite get the 'survivors of october' reference...

They gave out Survivor insignias to people with Survivor sets that update. The sentence pretty much means "We're doing the same for Pioneer sets."

Just because you're not happy about it doesn't mean other's aren't.

I for one am excited. I never got the pioneer set due to an early bug with the gift exchange (And lack of help from SE Support) so this will be a plus!

Woo hoo! I'm really glad about the Pioneer pack. I used my gifts on my first Wakfu character, which ended up being completely useless because I screwed up my stats and at the time there wasn't any way to reset your stats.

So my pioneer flag emote, etc were all stuck on a worthless character. sad

So glad to be able to get them back again on my new main character now. biggrin

I still don't quite get it: except for the gear changing to costume we got all those things back then, no? I mean, it's not like these are new presents, right? They're just a re-issuing of the original present...

As the post above you hinted at, a lot of players didn't get their original awards due to bugs, linking them to unusable characters, or not having inventory space.

This is something they needed to do.

Oh, I see what you mean now, my bad, hehe.

Yes and no at the same time, as we exchanged the Pioneer set and the flag to be the Pioneer Costume and using the Wave a Flag emote to display the flag.

But here comes the main difference: The original presents could only be given to one character per account and we are now offering to have them given to any characters of the accounts which you will connect yourself on or that you may create.

I hope this answer better your question. smile

-.- i dont like this "only the before the 29th 2012 get a pack" event. sad
My acc needs only one month and 5 days more, but i don't get anything, like the october update.
Thats why i hate it. Other games are better at this point.
I mean "wow" double exp, that's what we all need. There aren't enough quests, challenges an items for exp. *eyeroll*
