I'm trying to make a gem for the Kokolo Neck but the Glossy Gem Level 2 won't attach to it. Any idea why? I thought it might say why on the armor piece on the wiki. Maybe I just haven't figured this out yet.

You need a level 4 glossy gem.

Hm, I used a rune on my belt but it gives lock, and I couldn't find a smithhammer of initiative. How do I make the support rune give initiative?
Once you find an initiative hammer just use it on the slot that has lock and it will change to initiative.

Have you been able to use a CMC hammer? Everywhere I look it appears they don't work.

What is a hammersmith where i can find that to change the atributes of the rune ?

The hammers that change rune types are either rare random drops from anything or available in the cash Botique.

Reading through this, got some questions;

Runes can be improved once placed in an item? Can runes with less that +2 bonus be improved?

Yes they can, just double click on the rune of the equip you want upgrade

If you need the total runes from the lowest stat you would need:

5 glossy runes, 4 sparkling runes and 6 perfect runes to reach the cap on 1 rune slot of an equipment

Literally all that matters once a rune has been place is its current bonus level.

The original quality of the rune just affects the initial bonus level of the rune bonus. On damage runes, you can easily tell that a +2 rune is at its 2nd level, and a +3 rune is at its 3rd.

Just click on the rune and see what it asks for to upgrade it.

It would be awesome if someone can write a guide about the new runes that came with Moon Island. How to obtain, how they work, etc? smile I guess there are people who already have such.

From the information I gathered this is what I got:

There are 2 altars in the boss rooms of the Kanniball and Tropike dungeons. You can put some Kamas and resources (Koko Rico's Strongarm Lance and
Gengas Kin's Blowpipe) in there so you would be able to drop Metamorfrags. These Metamorfrags are used in the Handyman profession to create Metamorfos that can change Runes into Exquisite Runes but those only work on items level 170 or higher.

There are 11 of these runes:
• Destruction : +2 to +20% area damage (Attack rune slot).
• Precision : +2 to +20% single target damage (Attack rune slot).
• Distance: +2% to +20% distance damage (Attack rune slot).
• Fury: +3% to +30% berserk damage (Attack rune slot).
• Melee: +2% to +20% melee damage (Attack rune slot).
• Altruisme: +3% to +30% heals (Attack rune slot).
• Influence: +1 to +10 Influence (Attack rune slot).
• Robustness: +1 to +10 Robustness (Attack rune slot).
• Acuity: +1 to +10 Acuity (Any rune slot).
• Velocity: +1 to +10 Velocity (Any rune slot).
• Vivacity: +1 to +10 Vivacity (Any rune slot).

The first 6 are pretty straightforward runes. As for the other 5:

• Influence increases 1% Critical Hit at 10 Influence (Max 10% CH).
• Robustness increases 1 Block at 10 Robustness (Max 10 Block).
• Acuity increases Range at 60 Acuity (Max 1 Range).
• Velocity increases MP at 90 Velocity (Max 1 MP).
• Vivacity increases AP at 140 Vivacity (Max 1 AP).

To create a Acuity/Velocity/Vivacity Metamorfo you would first have to drop the blueprint on a Moon mob. Each one has a 0.002% drop rate.

Thanks!

There are 25 rune slots if you are wearing end game gear (10 attack slots, 10 defensive, 5 "stats"), right?

Does anyone know the formula for the rune-upgrade-cost? It would be handy to know the cost before upgrading gear, to see if it's worthwhile for lower-level-items, for example.

All I could find is the old formula (which isn't correct anymore) and the announcement that it was changed (but not telling the new formula).

I might have been told deep down in the french forums somewhere, but I can't find it.

To calculate the additional Kama cost here is the formula:Item level x Rune level x rarity coefficient x 30 kamas.

The rarity coefficient equals:
Common item: 0.2
Normal item: 0.4
Rare item: 0.6
Mythical item: 0.8
Legendary item: 1

Change of rune crafting cost in kamas. The new formula ensures that the cost in kamas is more dependent on level. The rune crafting of items level 170 and below has been reduced. The lower the level of the item, the greater the reduction.

I tried incorporating the changes into the old formula, and ended up with something like this:
Item level x Rune level x rarity coefficient x 30 x1.0168^(Item level - 170)
Which works really fine for equipment around level 175, okay-ish for level 125, but it's absolute garbage for 75 and below.

If someone knows how to do exponential regression or something of that kind, and wants to give it a shot at finding it out, here's some upgrade-cost-data:
  • lv20, rune-level: 3, rarity: 0.6, cost = 285
  • lv20, rune-level: 4, rarity: 0.6, cost = 380
  • lv20, rune-level: 5, rarity: 0.6, cost = 476
  • lv20, rune-level: 6, rarity: 0.6, cost = 571
  • lv75, rune-level: 3, rarity: 0.8, cost = 1357
  • lv75, rune-level: 4, rarity: 0.8, cost = 1810
  • lv75, rune-level: 5, rarity: 0.8, cost = 2262
  • lv75, rune-level: 6, rarity: 0.8, cost = 2715
  • lv75, rune-level: 7, rarity: 0.8, cost = 3167
  • lv75, rune-level: 8, rarity: 0.8, cost = 3620
  • lv75, rune-level: 9, rarity: 0.8, cost = 4072
  • lv75, rune-level: 10, rarity: 0.8, cost = 4525
  • lv125, rune-level: 7, rarity: 1.0, cost = 12570
  • lv156, rune-level: 5, rarity: 1.0, cost = 18379
  • lv156, rune-level: 6, rarity: 1.0, cost = 22055
  • lv176, rune-level: 8, rarity: 1.0, cost = 46680
  • lv180, rune-level: 3, rarity: 1.0, cost = 19200
  • lv180, rune-level: 4, rarity: 1.0, cost = 25600
  • lv180, rune-level: 5, rarity: 1.0, cost = 32000
  • lv180, rune-level: 6, rarity: 1.0, cost = 38400
  • lv180, rune-level: 7, rarity: 1.0, cost = 44800
  • lv180, rune-level: 8, rarity: 1.0, cost = 51200
  • lv180, rune-level: 9, rarity: 1.0, cost = 57600
  • lv180, rune-level: 10, rarity: 1.0, cost = 64000

Is it known how much powder do we get from each equipment? Like relics, epics and such.

That's not correct.
You get a random amount of powders. From what I observerd when crushing items, that amount is proportional to item level and rarity.

Average amount of powders is somewhat like: (Item level * item rarity factor) where rarity factors are the same as for runes upgrade (1.0 for legendary, 0.8 for mythical, 0.6 rare, etc). Min amount of powders is ~2/3 of avg, and max is ~1.5x avg.

For example if you crush a lvl 100 mythical item (orange) you can get from (100*0.8)*2/3=53 to (100*0.8)*1.5=120 class 10 glossy powders per item. Maybe someone else had better luck, but that's usualy what I got from the machine.
And if what others say is correct it seems that epics give 4x, and relics give 7x the average amount compared to legendary items of same level.
For example crushing a Flaxhid Talisman should yield between (160*7.0)*2/3=747 and (160*7.0)*1.5=1680 class 16 legendary powders.

As for the metamorphos, the best description is on the French forum.

It's more or less true for Epics and Relics but for other items it depends on more than just their rarity. From my own experience you can get just as much powder from items of other rarity and another thing I observed is that items dropped from a boss usually yield around 200 powder.

As for your question, if you mean their effects then you can find them here:

If someone knows how to do exponential regression or something of that kind, and wants to give it a shot at finding it out, here's some upgrade-cost-data
From the data you provided, and the data I collected from runes on my own items, the formula figures as following:
2^(IL / 30)*100*RL*IR, where:
IL - item level
RL - rune level (the level of rune you want to upgrade into, not the current rune level)
IR - item rarity (1.0 for Legendary, Epic and Relic, 0.8 for Mythical, 0.6 for Rare, 0.4 for Uncommon, 0.2 for Common)

I also made a graph in excel for legendary items, maybe I'll uploade it later, but this formula is sufficient.

5 more where added with Moon 2 update, as Kruzy99 described them in other topic, I'll copy-paste here for sake of completeness.

• Audacity: +2% to +20% critical hit damage (Attack rune slot).
• Sneakiness: +2% to +20% backstab damage (Attack rune slot).
• Atrophy: +1% to +10% AP/MP Removal (Support rune slot).
• Determination: +1% to +10% AP/MP Removal resistance (Support rune slot).
• Life: +5 to +50 Health Points (Defensive rune slot).

Anyone still reading this? i hope so...
So, is the max value for the rune slots fixed?

Like max res is 10, NO MATTER what kind of rune rarity i started with?
It said somewhere that all runes should be able to be upgraded 10 times...

Can i get more stats if i put in higher level runes? Like: lvl 18 rune into lvl 160 item?
Or is the level ONLY the requirement for putting it in?

Level 10 is the maximum per slot. That doesn't change, even if you put rarer runes in it as the starting-rune.

The level is only a requirement for putting it in, but doesn't increase the bonus.
