When masq nerf coming?

By New#1531 - MEMBER - July 15, 2021, 22:56:37

Hello, just wondering when the masq nerf will be coming? Every class in PVP currently from 80-215 are masq, with huge heals, a summon that doubles their damage, huge damage even without summon, huge shields, huge mobility, huge aoe, huge single target. They actually do not have any downsides or classes that can counter them in PVP.

As every PVP player knows they will certainly be nerfed because they are just too strong right now. I was just wondering how soon this will be coming? Thanks!

i think a better solution would be buff the other classes to be as strong as zobal (maybe a little nerf isnt that bad) so we can all feel good and even do some PvE content with lower tier classes. XD

I'd agree but the masq literally lacks nothing in their kit, I feel like powering up every other class would remove flavor.

Masq has great positioning, pushback AND MP, healing, shielding, huge damage, a summon, lock bonus that scales damage, elemental resist passives. He is lacking no where at all lol

The clones are actualy a big weakness, why, you ask? Any AoE getting both Masq and Clone means the masq gets double the damage if the clone isn’t killed. Use it to your advantage. Besides, Wakfu is AWFUL for pvp anyway.

Also if you kill their clone, they take all the damage and it puts their clone on cooldown

For balancing masque, I think "Pursuit" is too overpower for a spell that cost MP. It remove AP from collision or easily can break your barrier, depending on what passives they have, also can lower your resistence what means every begginner masqueraider can do something and more advanced ones can destroy you. Just removes the MP from "Erosion passive" or change the spell cost to AP.

Everyone knows that Mask is absurdly op.

If you disagree, go and fight one in pvp and have fun.

Masq class does not have strong flaws and limitations compared to other classes. it was superfluous to give it the ability to remove res
you took from xelor revive, but dont took in masq making this class the absolute best in everything

Well their WP regen sucks, but their main theme is jack of all trades, so their weakness is that they aren't amazing at anything.

I have to agree, Masq has managed to keep its ability to deal damage (if not more), heal, revive, position, cast from MP, GAINED the ability to grant armour and remove resistance, and restored ability to deal damage through collisions after the revamp. The bumstacking of % damage inflicted passives makes it an absolute behemoth to deal with, with manhunt you can damage enemies while healing yourself, and there's a health stealing passive anyway.

In comparison,

Foggers can tank slightly better, maintains its role as either tank or damager but not both
Rogue's damage are spread out through turns rather than compressed in one turn due to loss of Boot combo stacking. Positioning is improved slightly from Ruse.
Fecas specialise either in damage, support or tank but only does one well
Xelor has weakened AP giving, lost revive, weakened ally positioning but better self positioning, and good damage when the stars aligned while chanting bohemian spells at the beginning of a total solar eclipse during the winter solstice

as someone wrote in the topic about beta Xelor revamp, Masq  received a buff with no loss or major identity change. Devs removed many good aspects in Xelor (identity suffered) and I agree with the thread's author that Masq too strong.

People normally have no problem with versatility. I have problems with 100% output during versatility. Passives are a problem more than Masq itself. There's no reason their heal output, damage output and armor output is potentially available at the same time.

That's what makes them op. They're power is at 100% at all times. in all roles, they're not the best in any one role. But they're competitive in them all at the same time.

Looks like the beta has no changes to Masqs so they'll be over the top powerful for a while now.
