Improvements

Class balancing

As we announced a few days ago, a global class balancing will be held. Find out more, class by class, by following these links:

These major changes to the thirteen classes come with a total restat (spells experience, ability and specialty points).

Note that along with this balancing, the bugs linked to the classes will be fixed as well.

New pets: the Milimoowolf and the Baby Schnek

If you are fond of animals you will be thrilled thanks to the new pets: the Milimoowolf and the Baby Schnek!

The Milimoowolf brings you bonuses to Block and resists and can be obtained as a classical fight loot. Work out to find out which monsters drop it!

Regarding the Baby Schnek, it brings you a Wisdom bonus. How can you get it? Remember, the last time you visited the Queen Schnek, what happened to her eggs? Small tip to help you finding how to get one of her babies…

New quest system

We have improved the current quest system in order to make it more dynamic and varied. Now you can experiment four kinds of quest: the Adventure, the Environmental, the Automatic and the Discovery quests.

We also have clarified the quests interface to make it more accessible: the Quest Book has been reorganised, the ergonomic design of the Achievement Monitor has been enhanced and we have made a few more improvements for greater readability and global comprehension.

Do you want to know more about it? Check this Devblog article!

New worldboss system: the Ultimate Bosses

A new major improvement that is close to your heart: the implementation of a new WorldBoss system, the "Ultimate Bosses".

This improvement is linked to the previous point about the Quest Book. You will have to finish a quest to access the different Ultimate Bosses' Lairs that are now open to all. No more time spent waiting for your turn: now, you all have a chance to try to beat them!

To find out the access conditions for this high level content, read the dedicated Devblog article.

And welcome to the latest arrival in the Ultimate Bosses family: the Gobbalrog! You can find him in Brakmar: you'll have to venture at the foot of the volcano and search for the clues that will bring you to the doors of his residence... You asked for a challenge? Here you go...

Amaknians, Bontarians and Sufokians, if you think you are safe, you are wrong: your Nations will soon see the advent of some exclusive Ultimate Bosses.

Note that the Ultimate Boss Gobbsage will be improved. The Gobbsage will not appear in all the Nations but only in the Wild Estate in its spectral shape: "Excarnus"!

But be careful... the Ultimate Bosses difficulty has been increased and the fight loots have also changed! You will find the details about it in the second part of the release note.

Some inhabitants of the World of Twelve are already singing this disturbing song: "Excarnus will steal your soul, the Moowolf will devour you, the Crow will steal you feathers and the Gobbalrog will make you go through hell!"

Pvp optimisation

One of the aims of the balancing is to restart on a sound basis to improve the PvP. With this patch, we start to implement some improvements like a Health Points boost during PvP fights, a new timeline system or a non-aggression state after a defeat during a PvP fight.

You can find all these improvements in the dedicated Azael's Devblog article.

The global rebalancing of the classes leads us to offer you a new restat of your abilities and spell experience points. Once the update is deployed upon connecting for the first time with a character, a new quest will appear. This quest is automatically accepted and will give you 10 hours to go to Jonk and ask for a restat (Clan Member in the village area of your Nation). Warning: You have 10 hours REAL TIME after connecting your character, and not 10 hours in game. If you connect your character at 8am in the morning, you will have until 6pm to operate a restat. If you don't speak to Jonk in the 10 hours, the quest will complete automatically and you will not be able to start it again, you will therefore not receive any restat. A 10 hours countdown will display constantly in your quest interface.

Thanks for the new changelog Troyle

but this part is just not good. 80% of the people wont know what to do again.

Then they just have to plan ahead or suck it up.
This update has been advertised for the past .. what ... 3 weeks ~1 month?
If these 80% you speak of don't know what to do, it's their own fault.
With all the changes taking place, it is logical and mandatory that all community have a complete restat, no exceptions.

At least it's not like the last restat, where we couldn't do anything until all spell exp was reassigned, leading to most chars ending up with messed up spell branches.
This time the lazy ones have 10 hours to plan how they want to mess up their chars.

Good job Troyle. *thumbs up*

PS: The Black Crow Boots description, is it supposed to NOT give MP bonus?

It's just last time they had no idea how to restat because they dont read forums. That spell level change was announced 3 weeks before too.

Now they will all be clueless about the 10 hour countdown. Trust me General Discussion will be full of "I need a new reset" topics again.

What happened to the MP provided by the Black Crow boots? oO Please, tell me that you didn't decide to remove it. A part from that I liked everything ^^

Awesome!

Zeorus warned the players about the difficulty of the Ultimate Bosses:

Concerning how powerful the UBs will be, indeed, they will be much tougher than what you experienced until now. Our intension is for them to be a real PvM hardcore challenge. And challenge it will be! Now if they turn out to be too powerful, of course we may rebalance them.

But keep in mind that, if you rush to face them without knowing their technics, their gameplay, and their strength, you will be surprised. Be prepared, in game as much as in mind to face… Ultimate bosses!

Zeorus again:

You’re warned, UBs are the hardcore PvM content. They will require organized, optimized and well equipped groups to have some hopes of succeeding at specific levels…

And again:

UBs are deployed in “hardcore” mode to limit abuses and easy drops. They may get rebalanced later to reach the appropriate level of difficulty. But this way, you’ll get a proper challenge right away!

You've been warned, prepare to suffer!

Zeorus commented about the WB sets:

WB sets stay the best sets and will bring a significant help when facing UBs. Players who have them will always have an advantage over those who don’t.

A little precision: the Milimoowolf pet will be purple in game (as the Ultimate Boss), and not brown as shown on the picture.

One question - WB sets will be craftable, but will they be really available to craft??

I mean - there are only few crafters above lvl 90 in each proffesion. Leather dealer is the most rare proffesion, i think there is no LD 90+ on remington server.
So if WB sets will be items from lvl 100 - they will not be available in game yet...

And I've been wondering why it was called a moowolf, at least purple is cuter even if a mere recolor.

So what will this puppy eat? Other pets?

Great job Ankama ---*coughs*,, uhum,,, :/ Didn't think so. There is something like real life. Some people have to work you know, and they work like 10 to 12 hours a day. Those people won't be able to restart their abilities. Is this your way of working Ankama? Seriously?? Do you really think that people have nothing to do than sitting 24 hours a day and 7 days a week in front of their computer and playing this game?! There is always something in your " new patch" what disappoints me, can't you do things right, even just for once???

I like other changes, although I'm not happy with some "Class balance" changes. Some classes you nerved badly but you made their other element trees much stronger. For example: you made Air Cra op again, just like in the beginning / the release of this game.

I'm happy with the new Pet's, but I think very limited people will be able to get it, which makes things not fair again...... We will see......
