Discover the changelog of our newest WAKFU Update: Questing for Bosses, released on August 7th!

Today we unveil the first part listing all the new content that will be implemented on August 7th.

The second part listing further improvements and bug fixing will be communicated in the next days.



Class balancing

As we announced a few days ago, a global class balancing will be held. Find out more, class by class, by following these links:

These major changes to the thirteen classes come with a total restat (spells experience, ability and specialty points).

Note that along with this balancing, the bugs linked to the classes will be fixed as well.

New pets: the Milimoowolf and the Baby Schnek

If you are fond of animals you will be thrilled thanks to the new pets: the Milimoowolf and the Baby Schnek!

The Milimoowolf brings you bonuses to Block and resists and can be obtained as a classical fight loot. Work out to find out which monsters drop it!

Regarding the Baby Schnek, it brings you a Wisdom bonus. How can you get it? Remember, the last time you visited the Queen Schnek, what happened to her eggs? Small tip to help you finding how to get one of her babies…

New quest system

We have improved the current quest system in order to make it more dynamic and varied. Now you can experiment four kinds of quest: the Adventure, the Environmental, the Automatic and the Discovery quests.

We also have clarified the quests interface to make it more accessible: the Quest Book has been reorganised, the ergonomic design of the Achievement Monitor has been enhanced and we have made a few more improvements for greater readability and global comprehension.

New worldboss system: the Ultimate Bosses

A new major improvement that is close to your heart: the implementation of a new WorldBoss system, the "Ultimate Bosses".

This improvement is linked to the previous point about the Quest Book. You will have to finish a quest to access the different Ultimate Bosses' Lairs that are now open to all. No more time spent waiting for your turn: now, you all have a chance to try to beat them!

And welcome to the latest arrival in the Ultimate Bosses family: the Gobbalrog! You can find him in Brakmar: you'll have to venture at the foot of the volcano and search for the clues that will bring you to the doors of his residence... You asked for a challenge? Here you go...

Amaknians, Bontarians and Sufokians, if you think you are safe, you are wrong: your Nations will soon see the advent of some exclusive Ultimate Bosses.

Note that the Ultimate Boss Gobbsage will be improved. The Gobbsage will not appear in all the Nations but only in the Wild Estate in its spectral shape: "Excarnus"!

But be careful... the Ultimate Bosses difficulty has been increased and the fight loots have also changed! You will find the details about it in the second part of the release note.

Some inhabitants of the World of Twelve are already singing this disturbing song: "Excarnus will steal your soul, the Moowolf will devour you, the Crow will steal you feathers and the Gobbalrog will make you go through hell!"

Pvp optimisation

One of the aims of the balancing is to restart on a sound basis to improve the PvP. With this patch, we start to implement some improvements like a Health Points boost during PvP fights, a new timeline system or a non-aggression state after a defeat during a PvP fight.

Bug fixing and improvements


The global rebalancing of the classes leads us to offer you a new restat of your abilities and spell experience points. Once the update is deployed upon connecting for the first time with a character, a new quest will appear. This quest is automatically accepted and will give you 10 hours to go to Jonk and ask for a restat (Clan Member in the village area of your Nation). Warning: You have 10 hours REAL TIME after connecting your character, and not 10 hours in game. If you connect your character at 8am in the morning, you will have until 6pm to operate a restat. If you don't speak to Jonk in the 10 hours, the quest will complete automatically and you will not be able to start it again, you will therefore not receive any restat. A 10 hours countdown will display constantly in your quest interface.
Since the last update, the players were moving in a strange way over long distances. The bug is fixed.

The way Willpower works has changed.  Now, it increases the chances of applying and resisting statesAP loss, and MP loss. It cost 15 ability points for 1 Willpower point. The minimum - basis - maximal values are: 0 – 0 – 100.

Now, each class has a customised gravestone.

  • Massacuring Mark: Will not trigger on the allies with the passive anymore.
  • Massacuring Mark: Will not trigger for each Eniripsa of the team with the passive anymore. Triggers only one time per death.

  • Prime of Life and Mass Clumsiness: The wearing off of the "Prime of Life" and "Mass Clumsiness" combo's effects is not problematic anymore. The MP are correctly reset at the end of the Enutrof's turn.

  • The Summons names are correctly saved between the reconnections.
  • The Osamodas can't capture monsters in the Arenas anymore.

  • The Bombs Wall works correctly.
  • Roguery: The Rogue doesn't disappear of the fight while doing a Critical Hit with Roguery on a Chafer corpse.

  • K'Mir and Tree: The K'mir link is suppressed when the Sadida transforms into a Tree.

  • A Xelor with the passive Temporal Waves and a Legano (chances to get +1 or -1AP) will no longer risk to lose 1AP at the beginning of the fight.


  • Creation of a state whose effect is to multiply Health Points by three. This state is applied when you enter a fight with another player. It disappears at the end of the battle.
  • Creation of a "no aggro" state. This state is applied when a player revives after being killed during a PvP fight.  A player with this state can't be attacked during five minutes.  If the player with this state attacks another player, the state disappears. Warning: this state doesn't apply when the player is revived with a KenKo.
  • New Timeline system. All the details in the Devblog.
  • We have increased the experience remainder recovery produced by the scrolls, the quests, the arenas and the spells whose level is greater than the character's level. It allows level 105 players to earns the maximum spell experience faster.
  • Upon reviving after a defeat, the penalty inflicted by De Darm will be correctly displayed in the player chat.

Ultimate Bosses

  • The Black Crow Worldboss becomes an Ultimate Boss. Now, you have to complete a quest to access his lair.
  • The Moowolf Worldboss becomes an Ultimate Boss. Now, you have to complete a quest to access his lair.
  • The Gobbsage Worldboss is now named Excarnus (spectral shape) and becomes an Ultimate Boss. Now, you have to complete a quest to access his lair.
  • New Ultimate Boss: the Gobbalrog. You have to complete a quest to access his lair.
  • If an Ultimate Boss doesn't do anything during 3 turns (no AP spent, or MP) we consider his AI bugged. His state will become Invincible. We implemented this system to avoid any bug exploit linked to the AI or unexpected technical issues. Warning: Vampyro is also affected by this change.
  • All the Ultimate Bosses have a maximum Critical Failures rate of 15%.
  • token system will be implemented on Ultimate Bosses. Each victory will grant a token to the player, allowing him to obtain pieces of the Boss set, if he doesn't drop one. These tokens arenot tradable.
  • Each player will also receive resources at the end of the fight against an Ultimate Boss. These resources will be needed to craft sets. These resources are tradable.
  • Ultimate Bosses will grant access to new items and more powerful sets. The old World Boss sets become craftable. They have also been rebalanced (see the Items part).

Mobile Arenas

  • Balancing of the points earned by winning the Mobile Arenas' challenge which consists infinishing the Round in six turns. It was corresponding to the reward of the following round of the same challenge.
  • It will no longer happen that upon canceling a fight in a Mobile Arena, the disappearing monsters get counted in the points.


  • New dungeon: the Schnek incubator. You can access it by unlocking the quest that allows you to win the Baby Schnek.
  • Kokoko Dungeon: if you finish it without using the papers, they still disappear of your inventory.
  • non-subscriber player trying to access a dungeon he's not allowed to completed has now aclearest feedback.

  • The monsters and Bosses' IA has been enhanced to improve their behavior in fights.
  • Vampyro doesn't cast Vampyrmortis on a Pandawa carrying somebody.
  • Some effects triggered by spells used on 9-cells-monsters were problematic. If the spells were not cast on the central cell of the monster, the effects were not applied. This bug is fixed, the effects are applied correctly on 9-celles-monsters and take their borders into account.
  • All members of Trouble, Destiny, Respite in Astrub will now drop their items correctly upon death.

Trool Fair

  • Tunnel of Love: upon clicking on the boat it wasn't clearly indicated that two persons were needed to start the attraction. It was now made clearer.
  • Haunted House: it will no longer be possible to move during the animation of Gobbsage eating a character.
  • Cupe 'Em Up: It will now be possible to place more than 1 beacon during a fight.
  • Cupe 'Em Upborders of the fight bubble are now of air type.

Mount Zinit

  • Chapter 1: It is clearly indicated when you get three Agua Fragments by fighting Aguabrial.
  • Chapter 1: It will no longer be possible to gain fragments of Moze's Amulet with the Enutrof's Pouches.


Implementation of a new quests system. All the details in this Devblog. For this update, the new system is applied to:

  • Ultimate Bosses quest,
  • Adventure quests (former "Wild Challenges").


  • Publication of the new Gazette.


  • Now, you can deposit Kamas in your Guild chest.


  • Now, StrichesStrichons and Thingamastrich appears as corpses when they die.
  • Royal Tofu's Beak can now be obtained in game.
  • You can plant seeds immediately after stamping a plant.
  • New resource: the Blackberry. It will be added to the Ray with Herbs and to the Gataurade's recipes.


  • The Runic Recyclers that were on the Trade Bridges of the archipelagos are now only on the second bridge of each Nation. They are inside a dedicated workshop, indicated on the map by a marker.


  • Ultimate Bosses will grant access to new items and more powerful sets. The old World Boss sets become craftable. They have also been rebalancedas follows:

  • KenKO: This item applies now the De Darm state to the revived player.
  • The aspects of rare and normal minerals are not inverted anymore.
  • The Priestess Staff is correctly displayed during battles.
  • The Stasili is stocked in the normal inventory instead of the quest inventory. It is now usable to feed the Schnek pet.
  • It is possible to switch place of two items in the shortcut bars several times.
  • You can use Fairyworks from your inventory without causing a visual bug.
  • The action of lighting a candle is in grey if you don't have the Fire of Love.
  • Flamboyant Insignia: The epaulettes are clearly visible. It will therefore be back on the Boutique.
  • The items giving a spell level bonus give now the Elemental Mastery to the wearer.
  • The resources can be stacked by 9.999 instead of 999.


  • If you consult the second page of a Marketplace with a character, then reconnect with another character to consult again the Marketplace, the first page is displayed instead of the second as before.
  • Improvement of the feedback when a player tries to sell an item when he doesn't have enough kamas to pay the tax. Now, it is not possible to use the sell button.


  • The "Sit" emote chest of the achievement "A Boy and His Gemlin" has been removed. The emote is directly learnt as a reward at the end of the quest.
  • The "Applaud" emote chest of achievement "Felch Wodents" has been removed. Now, you can have it on a fish at the Kanojedo.
  • The "Huss" emote chest of achievement "Super Kano Smash Boulz" has been removed. Now, you can have it on the Chuck Novice at the Kanojedo.
  • You can't use an emote on a merry-go-round.


  • New pet: the Milimoowolf.
  • New pet: the Baby Schnek.

Haven Bag

  • New Ikiakit dedicated to resources: the Emerald Ikiakit.


New rules when a Governor is deposed:
  • The Government is deposed with him.
  • The Governor lose 50% of his Citizenship Points.
  • He can't stand for the two following elections.
  • He can't be part of the Government for the two following elections.
  • After a deposition, the laws don't apply (you can't earn or lose Citizenship Points), there are no CM's bonuses, and no challenges. Everything related to politics is disabled.


  • When you have several private chat windows opened, the message are not displayed in all the windows but only in the one of the player you are talking to.
  • By deactivating a chat channel, the time of the others channels is not replaced anymore by thedeactivation time of the first channel.
  • Upon sitting on a stool, the character won't be moved two cells forward and then back to his position.
