MULTIMEN: Which One Will You Choose?

MULTIMEN: Which One Will You Choose?
2013-12-14 09:00 20
Lumino, Shadow, Beelzebug, Trank, Skale, Krobax: Which one of these Multimen will be part of your next strategy? Strengthen your build with the Sidekick who is able to perfectly complement your combat tactics! And if you think you are up to the challenge...  why not try to master two at the same time? Either In packs or alone, discover them all!

Different from the pet that follows you everywhere and that you have to keep fed and pampered, the Multiman is a true brother-in-arms; a trump card that you need to accurately manage to turn the battle to your advantage. Whether you play alone or in group, you must choose wisely which Multiman will accompany you in battle.

How to Choose?

Choosing the perfect Sidekick can be a tricky situation but here are some questions and advice for you:

Is melee not for you? Your heart goes towards ranged attacks? Roast your opponents with Beelzebug!

You need time to make a decision? You're the type to study carefully your opponent? Study all you want, because during that time, Trank will be your wall of defense and your protector.

Need Energy? A boost of AP or MP to disturb your enemies? Call Skale to the rescue for an extremely effective support.

You want to slow down your rivals? Disrupt their strategy? Krobax is here to move them around with talent.

A boost of anger during combat? Want to hit without thinking and hit where it hurts? Shadow will fill this very aggressive attacker role perfectly.

And if in your final battle you cannot find the strength to get up, call Lumino: You will heal at the speed of light.

This is true. I've been dropping 200 pp lock items ever since I got my two multimen
Are you sure, it's not because you have extra pp from challenges?
I almost never do challenges and fail them instantly half the time lol
So i'm like 100% sure

Seems a team of two players + 4 multimen can break the 800 pp lock based on the relic fragments I've dropped so far (the two chars I have account for 400 pp combined)

they also reroll for you if you fail to roll on an item so if you have two multimen you get three rolls on each drop
While also true, those reroll are done at the base PP that the Sidekicks have. In other words Base Drop rates only on those rerolls. Sidekicks gain no benefit from PP and the rerolls do not use your PP either. Still very nice (this is not a complained, I really like it) as it still gives you another chance at dropping the items you missed.

And for some shameless advertising: Click here

This is a thread titled "Sidekicks/Multimen (Spell/Stat page + Player Class Comparisons)." in which I am slowly going over each Sidekick in greater detail than the simple one to two lines listed above for each Multimen. At the point I'm linking this now, I've covered:
1. Astrub Knight
2. Beelzebug
3. Skale
4. Shadow
5. Krobax
6. Trank

Only Lumino is left to go.

If you're not getting enough information on each of the Multimen here, take a look at my thread. Of course what is listed in the thread are just my simple opinions on the matter and not the general consensus of everyone else, much less Ankama.

I believe rolls from multimen are at the base 100pp, which equates to 1x drop rate.

Just think of the base PP as "drop rate * (PP/100) = actual drop rate". If you use 100pp (this includes base) for a 10% drop, it'll be:

10% * (100/100) = 10% * 1 = 10% drop rate

If you had 0pp (this includes base) for a 10% drop, it'll be:

10% * (0/100) = 10% * 0 = 0% drop rate

So we can see that Multimen have a base PP of 100pp. You can also see this by how you drop items that are of higher PP lock than you and your boyfriend can achieve by yourselves when excluding multimen. For example, I dropped multiple Waistfuts and a full Forfut set yesterday with just me at 202pp (this includes base) thanks to having two multiman in my party supplying me with their 100pp to break the lock.

I wish they'd put these ads on like, Kotaku and io9 and stuff. Gaming videos I watch on Youtube.

Billboards in major cities in America.

Ads on like, Adult Swim or during Family Guy or South Park.

Or just anything.

Posting it on their own site is like preaching to the choir.

And I still haven't seen an answer to whether they roll for drops with 100PP like Troyle said, thus giving a 2x multiplier to a base rate, or if they roll for drops with 0PP, thus only rolling at a base drop rate, like Troyle also said.

I mean, which is it?

Either way I enjoy my Multimen and I'm happy enough with the $146- I spent for my BF and I, but I'd like to know what I'm dealing with when it comes to rolls.

I look forward to the 2014 calendar.
It better have something called rebalance or revamp for the Sadida class in it.
