Al Howin: The Curse of the Pumpkwin

Al Howin: The Curse of the Pumpkwin
2012-10-25 09:55 25
While all prepare for the celebration of Al Howin as expected, dark powers work in the shadows and threaten the safety of the World of Twelve. In taverns, a word jumps from lips to lips without ever being said out loud: curse. And anxiety grows while a feared date approaches: October 25th

To be honest, Al Howin wouldn’t really be Al Howin without one of these old curses! This year, from October 25th to November 5th, participate in our exclusive event and hunt down the trouble makers in the World of Twelve; and above all, the one that started it all: a dreadful Witch!

For this 2012 vintage, Al Howin offers you:

A unique quest setting you on the trails of the Witch, including:
  • An exclusive dungeon available in Astrub for the duration of the event,
  • A legion of Cursed Gobballs,
  • Villagers with unusual appearance, the “Pumpkwinner”,
  • Almokens to win.

New rewards to unlock in the game:
  • 3 achievements linked to the Al Howin quest,
  • 2 new Insignias,
  • 6 items in the theme of Al Howin,
  • 2 exclusive titles,
  • 2 Haven-Bag decorations.

Additionally, the Boutique will receive the following items next week:
  • Ghoul Costume (Insignia and elements)
  • Pumkwin Orange (pet color)
  • Stuffed Borbat (decoration)
  • Stuffed Cursed Gobball (decoration)
  • Borbat Tree (decoration)
  • Vampyric Gate (decoration)
  • Skeleton (decoration)

And also don’t forget the Almanax quest of October 31st, Asid, which will be about digging graves…

As you can see, this year, it’s time to get down to business! You have a curse to fight, a witch to educate, and a lot of Pumpkins to turn into soup! But don’t worry: once the threat is dealt with, you’ll have time to celebrate with a lot of costumes and sweets!

See you on October 25h and get ready to be-witched!

I made it with a team of two... Don't know how you can find it hard
Some people didn't realise that going inside with team of 2 makes monsters have less HP and gobbals won't attack you 3 times but once. In fact going as team of 2 is super easy. I did it already 5 times to help other people with it and we made perfect runs where none of us were damaged. I also did 6-man run to compare it and we succeeded too but was longer and way harder.

In team of two Gobblette have 5 HP, gobbal 4 hp and warchief 10 hp. I belive that another person added to team increase their HP by 2. So it's 13 HP on gobblette, 12 hp on gobbal and 18 hp on warchief if you go as team of 6. Notice that gobblette heal's to full and can heal few targets in it's range. And final room got boss doubles with 4 HP (if you go as team of 2) wich changes to 15 HP if you have team of 6.

Now look if we can attack these doubles 4 times for 1 dmg (with +3AP buff for 1 wp) we can kill 1 of them in 1 turn. Buff yourself for MP and then for AP and kill it. Obviously if you can't reach it then don't waste wp. Keep an eye on your MP (and WP) and everything will be so easy that you will get the feeling that there should be more rooms.

Yeah, duh, but there is no "last year" from the release of Wakfu and on and the achievements still got mentioned in this log, just scroll up and see. That only implies theyre still relevant.

Oh and what's up with two insignias being available from the game? Where do we get the second one from?
^ Dito, Something id also like to know
Excited to see what the second one looks like

Questions! What happened to the achievements for Al Howin? The pumpkin gobballs don't count as cursed ones and where do we get the Evil Lollipops from? Why is the achievement reward the Summoner of Evils title? We already have that from the quests.
That was last years.

Well we were talking about the boss room xD
Would it hurt to state that before half of us gets confused? XD at least that's one mystery solved

anyways, does the unworkable land (unsure if this is the correct name) tiles that appears on the halloween gobball fights have any effect?

We didnt experience any effect. We walked on it a few times and nothing happened. So maybe its just a filler tile? xD
