I will be going to play on an on and off basis, likely.
Of course, that means that a Dofus-like plan will be required, that will enable me to pay for days or hours, because I won't be going to choose a monthly payment plan. If that is the only option, my participation in Wakfu is likely going to be of a severely limited fashion.
The game is going to be P2P, which is very good. I probably wouldn't consider playing in any real way if it wasn't. Of course, in case some mall system is going to be implemented that surpasses the magnitued of Dofus' item purchase system, the same would apply, because my aversion towards F2P solely stems from the impact of item shops. I don't want them, and I am not willing to make much of a compromise when it comes to them.

I think I will play this even if it's P2P since I lik Dofus and I want some change from all the "big" games I used to play,World of Warcraft,Guild Wars,LOTRO,EVE Online, etc.I really like the strategic gameplay of Ankama but I really don't know if to get Dofus merchandise or Harry Potter merchandise for christmas, lol.I really like both.

Guys, Square Enix is the american publisher, in the rest of the world it might be Ankama (at least in Europe will be) and i guess the subscription will be 5€ in Europe like Dofus...
well,if that happens we can all play with proxies and play NA's at least i know square enix listens to their players

Here are some facts I'm sure of
Wakfu will be P2P 100% (with a possible F2P area) There will character wipes 100% (don't try to fool yourself...please) The game with either A - Be released in Feb extremely buggy and half broken B - Go back into closed beta and have its released date pushed back a year
Just because they claim that it will be out in February doesn't mean it will be, I recall quitting Dofus nearly 3-4 years ago because they said Wakfu would be ready in a few months and look how that turned out. Wakfu is the only game I know other than Duke Nukem : Forever to be given a release date and then have it delayed by over 4 years.
I love this game but Ankama needs to get it's act together, stop releasing stupid spin-offs games, cartoon series and merchandise of a product that you aren't even close to completing. The very idea of spin-off content is supposed to be based on that fact the product actually exists.
