Hi guys,

More information that I would like to share based on your questions:

  • Regarding the Cosmetic Inventory, there will not be a limit on the amount of slots.
  • Insignias will not count as Costumes and will remain 2 separate type of items.
  • Major Cat will work in your Haven Bag just like ti will outside of it.

Hi everyone,

I have added the following changes to the hotfix changelog:

  • Visual effects and auras: They gave off too much light, this will be corrected.
  • Healing: Since the 18/03 game update, all element bonus damage is taken into account in the calculation of healing. However, it also involved the fixed rate heals (such as consumables or spells of the same type as "Life Transfer" of the Sacrier) which was not wanted. This effect will therefore be corrected accordingly.

Osamoda
  • Gobgob: unlocking summon slots will again be as followed (level 0-9): 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5 slots.

Sidekicks

  • Protoflex: when a Protoflex is KO, the Bodyguard states, that he himself placed, will correctly be removed.

Saharash
  • Protective Gloves: when you do not have the Protective Gloves, the action option to "search" the Juicy Castuc will display properly.
  • Castuc Cemetery: A door will be added to the entrance of the Castuc cemetery to prevent access to characters that have not yet the quest of the area. This will in particular avoid comprehension problems related to the main quest and possible dialogues with the Castucs Chief.
  • Castuc Cemetery: The spirits will now move correctly at every turn.
  • Pinhead: The range bonus will be properly applied.

Dungeons
  • Mode "Hardcore":
    • The "Hardcore" version monsters of the Saharash and Shustuft Crust dungeons will have an "elite" indication in their name. The boss will also have a special name.
    • The "Hardcore" version monsters of the Saharash and Shustuft Crust dungeons will be visible on the the official website, as well as the drop rates associated with them.
  • Tormentor Pit:
    • Additon of acheivements to obtain fragments in the "Hardcore" dungeon.
    • The rate of the Tormented Fragment will increase from 7.5 to 10% in the "Hardcore" dungeon.
    • The damage multiplier on the spells base of the "Hardcore" monsters will decrease from 1.25 to 1.1.
    • Tormentor's Fury will increase 2.5 times slower.
    • The spell Resurrection will have a cooldown of 1 turn.
    • The summons will be limited to an amount of 6.

Acheivements

  • Asse Shield: Addition of an achievement and a title when merging fragments of the Asse Shield.
  • Harry Boots: The title related to the achievement of obtaining the "Harry Boots" (by merging the 100 fragments) will be renamed "Harry Stylez".

Haven Worlds

  • Saharash seeds and resources: Saharash monsters and resources will correctly appear after planting them in a Haven World.

Pets

  • Araknomecha: Bonuses will be correctly applied.

I am coming back with information from the GD team regarding this change.

With the current spell, it is possible to give a character 18 AP after only 3 turns, therefore it had to be changed to make it more fair and balanced for everyone.

To limit this "exploit", there was only 2 solutions: either change the cost of the spell or add a limit to it, and it was decided that the best solution in terns of rebalancing would be to limit it to 1 use per turn.

The bonus will work per single collection, for example (and this will be added to the hotfix changelog to make it clearer): If you are mining Iron and you harvest 3 Iron ores, if Major Cat comes and you win his challenge, then you will get another 40 extra Iron ores.

Major Cat may also choose to visit you in your Haven World.

WAKFU Update 1.32 Hotfix - 27/03/14 Hello,

We will not have a weekly maintenance on March 25th as announced previously, instead we will have a hotfix on Thursday 27th.

The changes that will be implemented with this hotfix are already available for you: Here.

We will come back to you with more information on the exact time of of the hotfix and the server reopening.

As an added bonus for your awesome patience while we were having this maintenance and getting our servers safe for anymore duper abuse we are going to have give you the following:

  • All servers will benefit starting today until Monday 24th of March, 10 AM (server time), a bonus of +30% in Combat + Crafting experience + gain of Kamas.

Hi everyone!

I'm the ES Comunity Manager for WAKFU so, pleas forgiveme for my english.

First of all, you have to know that, if Sabi hasn't already answered to this thread it's because she lives on the West Coast (Pacific time) so al this problem arrived while she was sleeping (as any normal human beening does). As soon as she will be back at work, she'll explains you everything in detail.

I've just updated the original thread with more info but, what I cant tell you by now, is that the Remington server is not one of the most affected.

Although we can't still say with no doub if a rollback wil or will not be necessary four your server, at least you know that you are on the "better half" by now.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and be sure that we will study Remingont's case on detail so your community will recieve the attention nedded.

Hello everyone,

We wanted to let you know how we're getting on with rectifying the duplication bug.

The bug has been identified and corrected.

The impact of the problem varies from server to server. We are currently carrying out a more detailed assessment in order to establish whether a rollback is required, and if so, on which servers.

Sanctions will be applied to the accounts of those who abusively exploited the bug (what exactly constitutes abuse in this case has yet to be defined).

The servers will remain closed until we make our decision concerning the rollback and compile the exact list of players who exploited the bug. We are unable to give an estimated time for when they will reopen. However, it is possible that the servers will be reopened gradually as we progress with the assessment.

This bug was present on the beta server too. Once everything is back to normal, we will be running a search for accounts that exploited the problem on the beta server without informing us of it. These accounts will receive the same penalty as the "regular" accounts.

We will be back in touch as soon as decisions have been made about the mentioned details.

Emergency maintenance - 20.03.14 Hello,

Due to an item duplication issue detected on all of our servers, we have no choice but to shut them down immediately for an emergency maintenance.

At the moment, we don't know if there will be a rollback or not as we are working to verify that right now.

If we do have to apply a rollback, we'll also give you adequate compensation.

We will get back to you as soon as we have more information, and for the re-opening time

Dungeons
:
  • [New] "Hardcore" Mode: On March 18th, you will be able to rediscover certain dungeons of the game in their (more difficult) "hardcore" version. This currently only applies to the Saharash and Shustuft Crust Dimension dungeons:
    • Saharash: To access the dungeons in their "hardcore" version, you will need a dungeon key, then go to the door and click on it, choose the "hardcore" version instead of the "normal" version. “Hardcore” Dungeons of Saharach are intended for high level players. Thus, the "hardcore" Ponktius Dungeon will be intended for optimized level 135 players, while its “classic/normal” version is rather intended for “classic” level 125 players. The "hardcore" version of the second area will be intended for optimized level 145 players, while its “classic/normal” version is rather intended for “classic” level 135.
    • Shustuft Crust: The version difficulty change will be done by using a lever in the boss room (which will be accessible directly without a key) that will allow you to choose between "normal" and "hardcore" versions. Here, the bosses will adapt their level to the level of the combatants, their “hardcore” version of "hardcore" will not be intended for higher level players, but simply for more optimized players of the same level but wanting to challenge their knowledge of the game and their class.
  • In addition to an interesting challenge, "hardcore" dungeons will bring you the following: more experience, relics fragments associated with the monster family (1% from the monsters and 10% from the boss, where the monster family provides only a very low amount of fragments: 0.1% from monsters and 1% from the boss), and a low chance of getting the relic from the boss directly.

  • Combat Targeting: Targeting will return to normal when you are targeting another player, who has died. with your mouse in the timeline when you no longer have the focus on the game.

Hi guys,

Here is some information that I would like to share with you as a first part of a Q&A/ Letter to the community.

This information is coming from Azael, and sheds more light on what the direction is for 2014 in WAKFU.

Combat System Revamp



The goal is to have a major game update by the middle of the year that will be a revamp of the Combat system to have a solid base which will also offer us a lot more possibilities when it comes to PvP and all the combat aspects of the game.

As we have heard your feedback regarding the lack of strategy and tactical aspects of the game, we agree that the current system doesn't offer you enough choices strategically and tactically and we decided to have a revamp of the system which will include for example:


  • Revamp of the rhythm of combat to prevent the spam of the same spells used and therefore wanting to bring more interest in the game cycle for all the classes.
  • Redefine the strategical and tactical game elements such as loss of MP, HP, Healing (already starting with the next game update) etc... and to also make those more available to all classes. This will allow players to no longer only depend on a certain class, therefore giving more gameplay options for groups.
  • Revamp of the Dodge, Lock system as well as the Wakfu Point to redefine its role and make it more interesting to use for strategy and tactical purpose.

Global Class Revamp


Even if there will be a focus on the Sram and Pandawa rebalancing, we are thinking to bring you more of a global rebalancing of the classes to go along with the combat system revamp and by the end of the year to no longer have individual class rebalancing updates, therefore to stop using "band-aids" on them, to once and for all have a solid system in place for you to enjoy.

Game Designer Team



You may wonder how we will achieve these goals, therefore we have reinforced and restructured our team, which is already working intensively on this global combat system revamp and also but not limited to the following points:


  • Improving the sense of being rewarded when leveling up a character
  • Improving the spell evolution system
  • Improving the power gain when leveling up spells
  • Working on the level 100+ with possibly addition of 5 Passive Specialty spells for all the classes
  • Monsters rebalancing by lowering their resistance and increasing their HP while keeping the same length of combat but with more damage done
  • Rebalancing of the Ultimate Bosses
  • Improving high level content such as dungeons difficulties (started already with the introduction of hardcore version) but also discussing ideas based on multi-group dungeon option
  • Review of the Politic system, this is also a priority to develop this year (more towards the second half of the year), with the introduction of capitals to add an economical aspect and pushing on the alliance/war aspect between nations

An important aspect of all this is also the use of the Beta server which is truly a great tool for us to receive your feedback on, you will see in the future many updates on the Beta server to test each aspect of this global combat system revamp and we can't wait to get your opinions on them.

This concludes the first part of this Q&A/Letter to the community, we will continue to share more information regarding the answers to your questions and the WAKFU live sessions.

Eniripsas

  • The class will also have a respec offered with the next update.

Osamodas

  • Starry Armor: The amount of charges will increase correctly on the character sheet.

Dungeons: Tormentor Pit:

  • The monsters of the dungeon will give 1,5 x more experience.
  • The monsters of the Hardcore dungeon will give 2 x more experience.

Quests: As you wish, my lo... my Sergeant!

  • You will be able to consult the information regarding the Guard function in your passport.

Also exceptionally with the weekly maintenance of the 25/03 we will be making the following interface changes:


  • Boutique: The Boutique interface will be modified to make it more ergonomic and a better look.
  • Cosmetic Inventory: Addition of a "Cosmetic" tab in the character’s inventory. You will be able to store in this tab all the costumes and pet customization.
  • Pet: The interface will be modified to give it a better look.

Hotfix for 1.32 - 27.03.14 The changes that we had previously planned with the 25.03.14 maintenance (in black) will be now part of a new hotfix for the "Thirst of Saharash" game update on the 27.03.14. The following changes will be implemented with this hotfix:

General

  • Feca, Osamoda, Ecaflip, Sadida, Eniripsa & Masqueraider classes Respec: On this occasion, a spells and abilities respec will be offered to all Fecas, Osamodas, Ecaflips, Sadidas, Eniripsas & Masqueraiders with the quest “Restate of Emergency”. Please note: To all characters that already have a respect quest running (the level 30 quest or the collect resource one), if you are at the last step with the Jonk ( “I’m ready to see Master Kano to redistribute my experience!” ), completing the new Respec quest will also complete your current one. If you want to benefit from your current quest, we invite you to visit the instance before the game update. This way, you will stay in the instance and therefore will receive 48h to operate a new Respec.
  • [New] anti- bot system addition: A new in-game system will be implemented to help us fight bots. Here's how it will work: a fight against "Major Cat" (name to be localized) has a low chance to start when you perform a harvesting action. While in combat, Major Cat will invoke 8 glyphs around him: 5 with crosses, 3 with numbers. The player will have 8 glyphs with numbers, from 1 to 8. To win the battle, the player will have to cast a spell on the 3 numbers corresponding to those around Major Cat (in any particular order). If you fail the fight against it, you will not die but you will lose 33% of harvest for a period of 1 hour of gameplay (not IRL time) and Major Cat will reappear during one of the 10 next harvest actions. His penalty is cumulative (so you can drop to -100 % of harvest). But on the contrary, if you win the fight against Major Cat, you will collect +40 resources of the resource that you were harvesting, and you will also lose any harvest penalty that you may already have. Major cat may also choose to come visit you in your Haven World.

Osamoda
  • Gobgob: unlocking summon slots will again be as followed (level 0-9): 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5 slots. 
 

Sidekicks

  • Protoflex: when a Protoflex is KO, the Bodyguard states, that he himself placed, will correctly be removed.
  • [New] General: All the Sidekicks will also be available to non subscribers as well as being able to try them for free weekly.
 

Nations

  • Characters without a nation access: some free access locations (Mines, exploration secret locations, etc.) were not available for characters without a nation. This will be corrected.
 

Islands

Saharash
  • Protective Gloves: when you do not have the Protective Gloves, the action option to "search" the Juicy Castuc will display properly.

  • Saharash seeds and resources: Saharash monsters and resources will correctly appear after planting them in a Haven World. 
 

Pets

  • Araknomecha: Bonuses will be correctly applied.
 

Professions

  • Handyman: The Wild Estate Keys will be available in the Handyman's Workshop.
 

Interface

  • Boutique: The Boutique interface will be modified to make it more ergonomic and a better look.
  • [New] Cosmetic Inventory: Addition of a "Costume Inventory" button on the current “Costume” location. You will be able to store in this tab all the costumes by linking them to your character. As long as a costume is linked to your character, it will be permanently attached to the character and cannot be removed from the inventory of costumes. It will be possible to unlink a costume from your character to put it back in your classic inventory.
 
 
  • [New] Pet: The interface will be modified to give it a better look. The pets will also have a "Costume Inventory" where you will be able to store all of their costumes. This interface will function the same as the costume inventory of your character: all the added pet customizations will be linked to your character. Switching pets will not change the linked costumes of your previous pet and if you get a pet of the same type, you will get the costumes you had previously linked. Please note that for now it will not be possible to unlink a pet customization.

I remember the time of the candles, a big discussion was already done on this subject back then: here.

But these aren't required anymore, when you go up to the entrance of the dungeon it will ask you for the required item (which I won't mention because you need to figure it out too, hehe).

And if you are still having issues entering please feel free to contact support service or report it in the bug report forum.
