Guild ranks I am unable to create new ranks for my guild - when I click the "add rank" button, nothing happens.

There are currently two ranks there - the leader rank (mine) and the normal member one. I am unable to change the rights for those too, the only thing I can change is their names.

Does anyone else have this problem or is it only me?
(My gathering professions are also not working right now while for some other people they are, so maybe I'm just incredibly unlucky? )

Edit: changed the client language back to english and it works now

I have the same problem trying to mine copper in Brâkmar (Mourning Wood), I get XP but no ore.
A guildie tried mining iron in Brâkmar and that worked fine for him.

Edit: I'm not getting any mint leaves I am harvesting in Mourning Wood, or ash wood in the Brâkmar starting area, either.

I'm just going to add my voice here to the many others...

I'm from Germany, and I'm stuck on the German server now. Like many others I have friends from different countries and playing games is one of the most enjoyable ways of keeping in touch.

I've played on english-speaking/international servers and communities in every single multiplayer game I can think of. I love meeting people from different places, if I want to meet Germans I can open my front door and go outside. :/

Looking forward to Wakfu for about 4 years now it never even occurred to me that the communities could be seperated like that. I'd even pay extra in order to be able to choose what server to freaking play on. If it has to be Germans only, I'm out...

And my point is, that you've assumed a bunch of things, and now demand that Ankama hold up "their end" of your assumption.

Umm.. sorry to jump in again (I just can't keep my mouth shut/fingers in check )...but I think it is no coincidence that so many people made the same assumptions, including all the ones asking confused questions and the ones shouting "me too".

All that tells me that the information we got was either misleading or incomplete, otherwise there wouldn't have been so many misunderstandings about that infamous button and the sign-up process. And what further stresses the point is that for 4 days now, nobody has come to clear up that confusion and taken the time to explain to this confused mass what is actually going on and how the whole thing works.

The NA community (again) had explained to them that their CB was actually only meant to be for people who signed up on a Wakfu site, not for old Ankama accounts for example. Something that hadn't been clear to those people either. Now I don't want to assume again that this same thing might be the case for us here, because assuming is what I think we are all tired of. We just want to know what is going on, because it looks like nobody really does as of now.

... in those "4 years" you weren't apparently paying enough attention to notice the multiple open betas, including one which would've given you immediate access which other people have right now (without having to wait for emails and activations).

It was the same for me though, I've been watching the Wakfu website since shortly after I started playing Dofus, which was in 2007.. and I do remember signing up for beta testing more than once, but was apparently just unlucky and never ended up getting picked. I wasn't aware that there was also with immediate access, either I missed that or I was too stupid to sign up for it correctly back then. lol

Most Closed Betas are not simply open gates. Most let you put your name down as an interested person...there is no "EULA", no "statistics" to say how much chance you have of getting in... if only you put your name down, maybe they let everyone in... 1 million people put their name down, Ankama probably don't have the hardware set up to handle that many people for "Closed Beta". Ankama can't say if people will just get in before they can actually gauge how much interest their is in join the CB... and they do that by counting how many people put their name down
Ok, all of that makes sense. But I for example am not a person who knows a lot about beta testing or company's capacities for occasions like this. How I understood it was that the time limit of signing up before the 31st actually made up the "closed" part, because that option hasn't always been there on the website. I figured that Ankama would have an expected/estimated average of people that would have signed up by that time and just let that lot go and beta test.
Maybe that assumption was very naive, but it looks as if a lot of us actually thought the same way.

Edit: And yes, the lack of communication after the 31st is a different matter, and I only got all my "enlightenment" about the fact that not everybody will be getting in and people are going to get access bit by bit  from the NA forums. Because there has plainly been no official information at all on here. But I better not get into that again. ^^

I hope Ankama learns something from this.

How? That would require them actually reading these forums and being aware of the mass confusion, which I doubt meanwhile that they are..
Or mabe that's just nicer to think than us getting ignored on purpose. 0=)

That's how it came across to me too, I thought that all we had to do was register and I was convinced that I'd be able to play on the 31st.

Square Enix knows how customer support works and how to keep players playing.
Ankama doesnt know what customer support is. Thats what they showed us once again.

Well I wouldn't go as far as saying that, but I remember them handling things a bit funny years ago back in Dofus. The servers would be down for a whole day or more, and no information given out about the state of things at all. Then when they were up and running again, everybody was sent goodies such as candy to boost your XP etc. I always thought that was a very nice gesture, but what people would have appreciated  and expected instead would have just been some information and keeping in touch while the problems lasted.
Compensation is nice in that case, but as long as people are just being kept informed when there are problems, I suppose everybody would be content enough and just accept the situation because at least they know what is going on.
I hope Wakfu will see a different approach on that when it is finally released, especially for the Int community.

You're lucky to have SE on your side so there's nothing to worry about.

That's right, at least the NA community seems to get looked after a lot better than us lot here. Our closed beta never even started on the 31st and we only got the first official statement on it today, 4 days later. A lot of questions are still left unanswered, such as if there are going to be new players let into that beta at all or if it is only for those who were already in the french beta.
Compared to what I see on the NA forums information-wise, the Int community really seems like the unloved step-children now. ;(

I signed up before January 31st and still hasn't gotten any e-mail confirming that my account has been activated to join the closed beta. I hope you're not done activating accounts!

Same here. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I only can come this close...
How do you even get that screen to show up? When I click on the Play Closed Beta, I just get this: Click here over and over.

Lol, both those links lead me to the same screen... the one with the download links.

Haha, oh well. For me the first link shows a page saying that "your account is not authorized for the closed beta", while the second link (the one I'm getting) is a page that asks you to sign up and register for the beta. Download links? I wish I had those. xD
