Quote (FireLupus @ 29 April 2011 10:38) I think i should have 2 columns and use numbers (to 9) on the first column and q-o on the second column.
You can do that, just change the key binds for the sectiion you want. Make sure you hit the "number button" on the other bars and you'll see your spells. Or drag the bars, like DashxAngel said. Change the keybinds (that should be now Alt+#, Ctrl+# or Shift+#) to the other parts you want, and there you have it.

Quote (jgtf @ 28 April 2011 21:06) I hope that they won't add Ogines on Wakfu
I for one, hope they do add Ogrines to Wakfu. Why? Well, in Dofus I only got to play P2P because of the Ogrines. It was a way that I could continue playing my favorite game without having to invest some of my hard-worked-for money. You see, if you're a teenager or youngster, you don't need much that money you get from your parents but if you're an adult, you have bills to pay and such, as I do. So the Ogrines made me keep my money and still be able to play my favorite game.
As for the topic, I don't think it would be a good idea. Maybe if you could use Ogrines for vanity itens like hats and capes that don't do anything except looks, ok, but itens that give you an extra benefit, I don't agree to. I think it's fine the way it is.

Maybe I should use another topic for this but...
How about being able to move throught mini-map or map? I mean, you could click on that area on the map and your character would go there by itself, thus eliminating the need to keep your mouse clicked to go through all the map. What do you guys think?

I just think that if they're going to put weapons out there, it would be nice for us to use them. And not just, as Soylent said, be pure "stat sticks". The way Dofus worked, you could level the skill for any weapon type you'd want by getting the scroll and leveling, I don't really see any reason why Wakfu could not have something similar. We could of course use them, hoping for the easier Critical Chance, but then again, outside of PvP battles they're useless, because no one is going to use a weapon mid-battle, it's just not worth it if you're going to lose your precious spell points. =/

You can't be a crafting profession (Tailor, Blacksmith etc) if you're a harvester and vice versa.
This is probably the reason to why you can be all harvesting professions.
Hi,
Sorry if I didn't understand you correctly but you can be all professions. You can be a forrester, a miner, a herbalist and any other crafting profession you want at the current stage of the game. By this way you don't need to buy wood, flowers and irons from anybody! That way there's no need for kama flow. Make your own stuff and let people make their own stuff, understand? Yes, but go and try to master all professions at the same time. The only way you can keep ALL jobs at the same lvl as your character lvl is by leveling your char REALLY slow, andit could take days to level ALL the jobs.People would rather spend a few kamas on buying items or resources rather than spending all that time doing it by themselves. Go and try leveling all the jobs, and let me know how long it takes you to level them all to lvl 20 I did do that (Well, sort of)! It took me 5-8 hours of gameplay to get the following jobs:
Cook 28
Forrester 16
Miner 9
Herbalist 8
Fisherman 20
Trapper 26
Leatherworker 19
And I'm not saying it's easy, but it's very much possible. It only took me that much time to get those levels. Now, while doing that my wife got in half the time level 35 farmer. Honestly, it could be harder to get those jobs. And going back to my point, if you can make them yourself you can always buy, but you don't need to.

Quote Windy Beacon: When hit with an Ice Arrow, this beacon emits any icy ring that can apply the Frozen state to enemies. Can only be set off by a water arrow.
That's taken from the Wakfu webiste, but it shows the same in the game (last time I checked, before the last patch). Why hasn't it been changed yet? We don't use water arrows on the windy beacon, we use wind arrows. Of course we may get that from its name, nonetheles its description leaves some to be confused since we don't have any water arrows.
Reason for edit : Keep messing up my types... =/

Quote (Ytsur @ 28 April 2011 01:35) Ahh! I see, thank you. Obelo prarie is just left of Bonta ruins (:: I'm pretty sure it's one of those places that doesn't matter as it was unbelievably low and I can't find many places to plant trees. He also Loveeeeees gobells so... He just looked unhappy in his avatar So I thought I'd help the little kiddo out hahaha
ohh and how do you see your statis and wakfu points xD?
Oh, that area, it really doesn't matter for the number of plants or trees. So don't worry about it, other than maybe you want to get some wakfu over stasis points for planting things. Your Stasis/Wakfu bar is just under your Health globe. If you have more Stasis than Wakfu, there should appear a big S, if they're both 0% no letter should appear, if it's more Wakfu than Stasis a big W should be there. Good luck on the game!

Hello both of you,
This is a problem that not only you two have, but many others. You see, in Incarnam there is a bug that sometimes you can't see your friends, even if they are in a group. You must either leave to Astrub or any of the two nations and you should have no problem meeting your friends there. If you really want to see them in Incarnam, try logging out and in a few times, sometimes it helps. My suggestion though, is try to leave Incarnam as fast as you can (although try doing all there is to do there) and later join your friends at Astrub and later choose nations together as you can't change that later on.
BTW, you can still chat with your friend, form groups, invite to clans or whatever, just not see them. Don't know why. =/

Quote (Ytsur @ 28 April 2011 01:23) Got the game today, and decided to focus on things over then battles. So, I've been planting loaaaaaads of trees everywhere and I noticed Obelo Prarie has trees almost extinct! Please, if you can manage not to get your wood from here, and even better plant more trees. I don't know if the trees are so little due to players, or to climet/monsters destroying them. But seriously, look at the level of trees there o.o
Hi,
I don't know where Obelo Praire is on the top of my head, as I am at work, I cannot login to find out. But, here's the thing, there are some areas in the game wehre the number of trees and plants are already low. Why? Because they're not considered important in that area, since the guild master there does not give any bonus if there's the right amount or not. However, if this Obelo Praire is one of the areas where it does matter, my suggestion is plant as many trees as possible, get lots of Wakfu over Stasis and Citizenship points as well. That way you're helping yourself out from this cause. An probably it's because there are a lot of new players who don't quite get the ecosystem yet. So, eventually they'll lose a lot of citizen points and be hunted down and they'll know they're doing something wrong. My suggestion is if it's area where it doesn't matter, well, you shouldn't have to worry, if it's an area where it does matter, take advantage to increase your Wakfu over Stasis (which is usually quite difficult since killing monsters generate stasis as well as collecting some items) and get lots of citizen points. =]

When you're in the login screen is the boxes on the top left marked EN ? If it's not, your game won't run in English as it should. If it's marked EN and you see the login written as Log-in and the password written as Password, then I can't help you. It must be technical issue. And in which case you might have posted in the wrong section of the forum. Hope it helps.
Maybe i wasn't clear in my post, the players ingame don't speak a word of English, i haven't seen anyone yet speak English.
Oh, ok. That's completely normal. The server everyone on the globe is playing is a French server. The bigges population there are French players. Now add that and the fact that this is Open Beta and a lot of people from all other parts of the world are playing. Yes, it's normal. Talk to a few people, you might find some English players. Or better, use this forum to meet them at their respective part of the forum.

Quote (Cynh @ 27 April 2011 20:57) Alright, so last night we had an amazing hunt with a couple of friends at the Mosquitos in Bonta. We all got amazing experience and was hella fun..
But then, today, none of my friends is actually online (Sad, I know. xD) and hard to make new ones, so I guessed to go train my Level 19 Cra on my own.
Thing is, I have no idea where? I just staneded there, Gobballs giving me near 900 exp, Tofu's weren't that good as well and Larva's were too hard.
Is it just me, or is this game really focused that you go do a lot of group hunts? 'Cause I am a fan of fighting solo.. But I'm just clueless were to go, or what to do next in-game, please help!
PS : Also getting Kamas now seems impossible with the flood of new members and all the Iron is gone in a flash..
PSS : Amazing game though! Loved Dofus, Love Wakfu.
Hey,
As Dofus is, this is a game meant for groups indeed. Even as a Cra, you will have a bit of trouble trying to solo monsters. So, want my suggestion? While your friends are offline, try to focus on leveling your professions or try getting more citizen points. Or just fight low levels and invest in leveling your spells. Other than that, yes, it will be hard to level solo. As form the Iron, I know, it's been hard already in Closed Beta, I imagine now. =/

Professions and Market
Hi again,
Now, I was reading here on the forum and I saw a topic closed by this guy Nsue. Well, on his topic he suggested that charactes being able to have all professions was a bad idea, but he did not state his reasons, well, I'm not for defending the guy, but I'll give my point of view why it may not be a good idea.
You see, if we all can have all professions in the game there won't be need for any market flow. Why? Why would I buy wood from a forrester if I can do that myself? Well, you see, whatever I need, I can make it! If however you were limited to havin, say, 2 harvester professions, 2 artisan professions and miner and Kama making, you would need help from other players. Seein as how Dofus is game meant to be played in guilds and groups for better usage, if everyone in my guild does the samething I do, I would have no one to sell my newly made item, because they can make it themselves. So there is no kama flow. By making all character independent, I think we took away the purpose of the game, which is to act united. I honestly prefered that my friend made my weapons and in exchange I give him the shoes and belts he need. Or maybe having the chance to sell that new boot I made to those that can't make it. Get it?
Now, you could of course, as stated in the topic I mentioned, create a lot of alternate accounts or characters to do my binding, but I would have to level that guy, not only one guy to get that need. I think as it is in the real world, we have the shoemaker, we have the miner, we have the lumberjack, we have the tailer, but we don't have the tailor, who is a lumberjack, who is a miner, who is a shoemaker. Otherwise that poor shoemaker living next to this guy won't make much money, nor the lumberjack, nor the miner.
Well, that's my point of view, criticize all you want, but just don't cry about it, let's make this something constructive.

As Finecy said:
-If you stick to leveling only one of the branches of your character its easier to level the spells.
It's ok to go Hybrid, but if you stick to one element you'll get stronger and the game will be much more enjoyable. On another note, it's good to try the other elements to open up new spells and have more versatility. If you want you may try going 2 elements, but it will be harder. DON'T GO 3 ELEMENTS. That could take forever and your nice and fun Wakfu will turn into dull and boring Wakfu.
-Read the NPCs dialogue box, you might learn a thing or two.
An example is most people don't know anything about the ecosystem, had their done their part in Incarnam, they might learn a thing or two and not have so much stasis and bad citizen points, thus becoming outlaws of stasis (nice guild name though!). Wakfu is rather different from Wakfu, actually way different, so this is a new game, just because you played don't Dofus, it doesn't mean much here.
-Don't be afraind to rerol.
If that earth ecaflip is not what you expected it to be (probably because you played Dofus), don't be afraid to try an air eca or change your character completely. The game has just begun, there's no need to be Mr. First-Top-Level.
-Professions can be found in your nation (be it Amakna or Bonta) through the stars in the mini-map under Metier: *Professions taught by this NPC*.
Get to know a profession (preferably a harvesting one) so that your game is not all about grinding. Do different things, and enjoy the game rather than trying to be strongest guy in the new server, no one cares anyway (I don't at least xD).
As Finecry said once again:
-One of the key of leveling is partying and even though we know some of you including myself prefer solo play rather than group, but the most exp you'll only get it doing groups.
Really, you'd think that if you killed that mob of monsters by yourself you'd keep all that sweet XP to yourself, huh? Well, that's what might think, but the XP is increased in battles when in group. If you group up you'll get Spell levels and Character levels much faster. (Even so, I'm a solo player, I'll probably stick to increasing my professions since it's a one-man job

Quote (ATShadow @ 27 April 2011 18:26) The open beta started a few moments ago (?) and servers are full (who was expecting that hum?).
My suggestion is a rather simple one. Open a new server so that more people can play and/or not d/c and have lag issues. You can even make a server just for the english speaking people and leave Tiva for the French speakers.
Give this idea a go. Cheers~
/\ This. Now that the game is Open Beta, another server with English speakers would not only be a nice idea, but would be better for those newcomers that are trying to learn the game but meet french speaking only in the area they're currently at, or vice-versa. It's a good susgestion Ankama. =]
