In-game Issue: Karchamrak's delay (I guess this matter goes in the technical issues, since it's not a bug, and even if it includes a suggestion it is actually the description of a problem.)

I've been noticing this for a while, although I don't seem to be seeing anything in the Devs plans to solve this problem, so I decided to give it a try and open a suggestion thread.

The point is Karchamrak (the Pandawa's carry/throw spell) is too slow in terms of casting, animation and such.

It takes about 3 seconds after the "click" for a Pandawa to carry a character and being able to select the cell to throw on, and then it takes another 3 seconds to throw, also once the target cell is selected, it takes a few more seconds before being able to cast Karchamrak on another target (the cell becomes "inactive").

Considering a turn lasts 30 seconds, in most scenarios a Pandawa can't:
Summon the barrel, carry it, throw it, teleport, move, attack and retreat.
Summon the barrel, carry it, throw it, teleport, carry the barrel and throw it again. (without even moving)
Carry the barrel, move, throw the barrel, teleport, carry another character and throw it.
Carry the barrel, throw it, teleport, attack, carry and throw back the barrel, teleport and move.
Move and change positions two characters in the same turn.
Attack and change positions two characters in the same turn.
Move, Multi-cast Karchamrak to decrease resistances and attack.

To put this in a simple way, any turn involving the cast of Karchamrak leaves to a pandawa a few seconds to act, and mst of the times end up with wasting APs/MPs, which in my opinion is an huge limit to Pandawas potential. The walking animation while carrying the barrel or a character is also awfully slow, and it often conflicts with "aura" spells such as eniripsas' absorption (walks one cell, stops, walks one cell, stops).

My suggestion is to make both the animation and the casting time 1.5x-2x faster.

I honestly don't get all this complaining, almost every MMO out there has daily quests, nobody ever complained.
Those quests are a way to reward people for being loyal to the game for a long time amd I honestly like the idea, since often old players do not get any particular bonus or feature for sticking with the same game for months, or years. It's still the same thing, effort = profit.
I personally missed 3 daily quests already, but I don't see why I should be complaining.

And no, it isn't unfair, as it litterally takes 5 minutes to complete a quest. I.e. Today's one: Speak to the CM of Holey forest.

And I don't see the whole "I can't log in everyday" point. There's also people who have a better computer than you do, or a better connection to avoid lag and d/c's, there's people who can pay for multiple accounts, there's people who can buy more ogrines, there's people who don't go to work and can play for longer, there's even people who can play the whole day, you can't blame a kid for having more free time than you do. If this is the point, making a "fair" MMO is technically impossible.

Just food for thoughts,

-Lindel

People like you will never understand situations like not be able to connect to internet or whatsoever the first person who made this topic, summoned up..
For your care (or not) some people have A REAL LIFE!! They can't be online everyday even not for 5 minutes.

Besides making a fair MMO is Possible!! I quit wakfu for a lot of reasons and this stupid Almanax is one them. I'm playing Tera Online, and in that game you can get a mount already when you are lvl 11. I played this game for more than 2 years now, I'm playing it from early beta. I have seen a lot of crap from Ankama, and to be honest they don't respect their customers. You pay for this game, everybody has right for a mount, not only people who will play another year. The person who made this topic paid for this game too, he paid for his time in this game but what does he get?? Not even a mount!! Thats not fair,,, like I said, there are other games where you can get mounts on lvl 11 already or higher lvl. That you accept this doesn't make it "normal" or "acceptable"...

Anyway, happy wakfu'ing, I'm not wasting anytime for this game anymore, not worth it..

Cheers.
First things first.

People like me...? Not to be rude, but you don't even know me.
I already mentioned in my post the fact that I, myself, missed 3 out of 4 quests, due to having real life related things, hence accusing me of not having a real life is both childish, pointless.. and incorrect too.

Secondly, that bunch of reasons you put toghether to justify your leaving Wakfu don't make any sense at all. You can't even know what mounts will do in this game yet, might even be that they just boost your movement speed. Also, nobody mentioned the Almanax quests will be the only way to get a mount. That is only a your assumption.

You mentioned on Tera Online you can get mounts on lvl.11, so what? That would make sense if mounts in Wakfu and Tera did the same exact thing, and the game mechanics worked exactly the same way. In Battle of Immortals you can get a mount at lvl.1, does that make the game better than any other game? Really, you are comparing bricks to apples.

Lastly, I don't get why you are on Wakfu forums, complaining about things that you can't even have tested if you pointed out yourself that you don't intend wasting time on this game. Also, every player who quit a game complains about how bad that game is, no matter what, so that doesn't prove your point, either.

Basically, even tho you are lvl.105, you didn't reach the maximum spell experience allowed yet. In other words, you can't reallocate spell experience until you reach the maximum spell exp. until your total spell exp reaches a certain cap.

Notice that if you haven't reached the spell exp. cap you can still receive spell experience once you reached lvl.105, all you need to do is to fight a couple more monsters to increase your total spell experience, that will unlock the spell exp reallocation feature.

As far as I know, male characters can wear female insignas. I've seen countless Xelors in Mummy Nova, and back in the times when we had only a few of them, there were plenty of male characters in Valkyrie.

yes well, hasn't stopped them anyway. "about -20%" so probably -50%
Didn't -20% mean -80% in Ankamanian?

I just logged and lost my Mine Hat. Did they remove it from the game?

Also, the Almanax quests section under the quest book doesn't show anything and the Almanax interface shows all quests as not done, just fyi.
+1

Miner hat disappeared, and this is not mentioned in the changelog.

To be honest, I think they didn't fully understand your report, the probably saw that picture displaying the name of your guild (and since most of them don't undertand english) they went like "Hey, this dude is reporting a guild" or whatever.

Or because they don't like people posting in english on the French Forums. Either way, looks like pretty weird ban.

Karchamrak: to avoid AP loss with Karchamrak attempts on items or summons that cannot be carried (Scara eggs for example) it will only be possible to carry your barrel or a character.
Really? We can't carry summons anymore? Just like 4 cells throwing, uncarriable mobs, and a 3 seconds animation to carry and throw don't limit this spell enough, and you say it's to avoid AP loss on attempts. It's like thinking of solving malnutrition problems by killing poor people.

Aside from this, the update looks fine, new dungeons, new mobs.. but hey, was about time.

So, that's it?

I was sincerely hoping that with the Almanax something else would have been released, perhaps a new island, with new monsters and a new Dungeon. Forfut was released on May or so, meaning it's been two months (will be three with september) with no real content update on a newborn game..

But hey, Daily quest. Now,it's Pretty unoriginal to be honest (lots of games have it), but on the bright side it will add something to do everyday, which is fairly good.

Until I happen to decide it's time to candidate again (which won't be any soon), be sure you'll always have my vote, mate, you have been the best governor Brakmar had so far.

I agree the random agrressions can be annoying, and I agree that sometimes players will just kill you, no matter if you did nothing. Although from my experience I can tell you, you can get aggressed meaninglessy a couple of times by the same guild or player, although if this starts to happen constantly it's usually because there's something going on between you and the other player/guild.

If I guessed correctly, the reason here is that you don't want to kick a certain player from your guild, if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.
The point here is that you, as a guild leader should investigate what happned between the said player and C. and see who's fault it is, and if there's something you can do about it, remember that when you're a GL, you're responsible of the players in your guild, and if they do something that might annoy another player who is stronger or has a bigger guild than you, it's up to you seeking for a solution to the said matter, Wakfu is a sandbox game after all.

I've never been a fan of drama, so my interest to the facts between you and C. or anyone else is limited, but I'd like to ask you: Have you noticed the Forum rules say it's forbidden to publicly accuse players?

If so, why are you accusing players of violating the Game rules, by violating the Forum rules?

Barrel stuff doesnt even work since the AoE move simply destroys barrels, totems, beacons and dials instead of damaging them
Then we can assume he didn't even test said techniques.

Also, I'm pretty sure UBs can't be carried, so they can't be thrown.

Yeah, I got the timing wrong there (Remarkable fail).

Muwolf: Panda can put him over his head and throw far away,_,too easy for them. it should be stopped, and what they got should be taken back, because they use Bug to Boss.
Wait, what? Is your definition of "far away" 4 cells?

Quote
Crow:three Pandas can use their Cask ,with a 60% Damage back to the crow, too easy for them. it should be stopped, and what they got should be taken back, because they use Bug to Boss.

I didn't fight the UB Crow yet, since I came back to playing Wakfu yesterday, but my guess is with Cask you mean Aggressive Barrel, don't you? Yeah, that probably works and you know why? Because that's exactly what that passive spell does: "Whenever the Barrel is hit, it will reflect 20% of the damage back to the attacker"

Pandawas spells are mostly field manipulators, buff/debuffs and counters, and that spell is clearly designed to counter AoEs (and people that hate barrels).
As a side note: It's pretty rare to see Pandawas with Aggressive Barrel leveled, so if someone is willing to build a character only to fight a monster once a week, well, I'm sorry for them, and that's it.

And just to make it clear the Black Crow is just not only the flying phase.

In conclusion, I'd say Hudsky summed up your thought pretty well here.
