The main difference of dofus/wakfu to others mmorpg is the battle system that was innovative to this genre of game. But in wakfu i think that the battle system is a little broken and is hurting the fun.
Imo the spell system has a big role on this. It never worked fine, that's why so many changes. I really think a key concept in any rpg game is: gain access to new abilities (spells) as your character evolves, but in wakfu you dont have this.
One way to solve this (without complete change of the system), i guess, is to make the spells change with level, change in sprite, aoe, damage, range, status effect, and so on. Not only in damage. So people will get excited to see the spells evolve. But, unfortunately, it is too late for that
Btw, why so many attributes? who will give points to perception if not a Sram? Backstab resistance? c'mon
Also, they should put wisdom and prospecting in another category (non battle related attributes) along with harvest efficiency and others job related skills and have exclusive points for this.
Please turn strength, agility... into earth, wind...
