One of the last factors that make Srams desirable
Quote
But yes, please tell me more about how useful single target melee chars are against Moowolf, Excarnus or Black Crow. (The Sadida change might actually boost single target chars a little, but we gotta wait a little to say more about that)
Lol?
When sram were desirable?
When you hit an UB, he gain AP, so Petty Theft or Sramshackle was never be desiderated by parties, his damage suck.
Srams, atm, will never be usefull against UBs, a part air and fire ones, against Excarnus or Moowolf.

In High level end game dungeons, my sram is not bad, he has great mobility, great damage.
Like in vamp, how about one-shot ghouls? how about hitting Vampyro from wherever you are and not die?
In Shhhudoku we can do it as damage dealer.
There are no more high level dungeon, until tomorrow.

You have just to show your skill to your mates, they will keep you for teams, and Srams are not Iop no-brain wrath spammers. Be good in all kinds of PvE will be an insult for us.
Now stop going offtopic..

Yo Kahiiji! o/

I totally agree with you that srams were never desirable in UB, mainly because they are close combat and "damage sucks" as you say. You talk like srams are supposed to be the superior master minds and win everything with epic tactics. Still to make the game enjoyable for everyone/every class don't you think we should be evenly powered and require as much skill to play?

Class that needs the typical Wakfu player (10 year old French kid, who started playing after watching the animation), to be tactical mastermind is quite a lot to ask considering that the reward for being so much better than no-brain-wrath-iops is still so little that a simple wrath spamming iop will outclass you.

Now for the matter in this patch. I think that the nerf was not such a good idea, I hope the rework will give us some love. It's so much pain to plan how to respec when you think "Well I might steal that 1ap and if I don't I'll lose around 25% of my damage so should I just go for a build where it doesn't matter?" Maybe it's time to go air and start to one-shot those cool ghouls.

Translate please? This is really stupid. I can't even touch my runes cause I can't understand a damn thing on them. They need to fix this now not in a week from now. Anyways thanks for the translation when its done.

Google translate:

Adventurers have told you the presence of a large island jelly. Treasures and adventures await you! Go to the port of your nation to find a boat worthy of the name for the start of your adventure. TAKE A BOAT AND GETTING ON THE ISLAND SBERG

There are some words which you can see are not "quite" correct, but it should give you the main idea of what the quest says.

Dofus because:

1. More content
2. More players
3. More balanced
4. Less bugged
5. Costs less to sub
6. Overall better game in all aspects as it has been released ages ago

Wakfu because:

1. It's new(er)
2. Great inbalances = easy to exploit = make a dream team/charater = laugh to other classes who will never get to enjoy the full (yet small) content of the game since they provide nothing to the group = you get always invited while they don't = feel superior =

Why people want Sram Revamp? We need just a check to some spells, and water branch need nerf.
Stop saying Invi is broke, because i play well with it.

Give me one good reason why srams need nerf? Apart from the fact that they steal 1 ap from other classes in pvp ruining the opponents combo and making them available pretty much only in pvp, since no one will get 1 extra ap to their build since it's plain stupid for pvm...

Imo we need more single target dps since we have 0 aoe and we are the assassins of the game. Also invis needs to be looked at. Not only it's worthless at UB / high level play unless you invest too much in it (which still doesn't make it worth it) but it also is unbalance in pvp making srams too good in that since NO ONE needs perception stat. It's hard to counter in pvp since no one will never ever have any of that stat and it's bad at pvm since all mobs have so high perception, you lose it so fast and you deal ½ of your damage with your primary dmg dealing spells.

I've been playing masq for a while now and here are my thoughts about the class.

1. Air has low damage and depends on collision (which makes it hard to play with so little reward). Sure, it's mobile build but in the end you need to think where in the group does air masq fit in? This is just a feel since I really haven't played as air too much since it seems the weakest of the builds atm. I think that air mask is fine since 7% more damage to allies (to all of them if I have understood correctly) and +1 ap is the best of the masks atm. imo.

Solution: Increase the collision damage to encourage players to use little more strategy in their play with high reward for success.

2. Water masq has a high single target damage with low healing to allies / can't heal himself unless using the "double". As a single target ranged dd water masq is fine as long as he has wp, as healer... not really worth using ap/mp for those healing ratios. Water mask is really not worth leveling if you ask me. Healing bonus, mp etc. is yet again high risk low reward situation.

Solution: Remove some of the restrictions from water spells so we can create more combinations between moves / tactics. Also increase the healing amounts so it would be at least somewhat viable as a healer so every group doing harder UB doesn't need to take those 2 enis to the group as it seems to be the current meta. Maybe one would do when masq can heal more than 30% of what enis do? I know you are trying to justify low healing amounts with extra effects to the mobility like pulling 2 squares etc. but +20 dodge... ...really? I think players usually can read the game and will place them selfs where they need to be, so pulling, pushing and swaping can mess up the positioning too, it's double edged sword if you ask me.

3. Fire masq has nice damage and aoe as long as he has wp, after that the damage drops to half. I understand that in the comic it's part of the masqueraiders nature to deal high damage while taking high damage but I think that if you COMPARE classes and aim for CLASS BALANCE in this game it's just plain stupid. I would never trade -50% resist to +100% damage. Atop of that I need to get beaten all long to get the buff stacked up while iop just pops power and boom 100% damage without any debuffs and he doesn't need to get hit 10 times. Not really worth leveling the mask if you ask me.

Solution: I think that you need to rework the mask... Keeping the mask bonus up is hard since we will die if high level mobs keep hitting as over and over again. Seriously remove the - resist from it, there's absolutely no other reason to have it there apart from keeping the masq image up, yet it doesn't fit well with the game and Wakfu has been suffering from balance issues for over a year now, maybe it's time to start doing the right thigs for a change?

4. Spell costs are really high atm in all branches.

Solution: Maybe a 2ap move wouldn't hurt? Yet again it would allow ppl to play the class in different ways and make their own builds when there are many viable ones.

5. Passives. When I 1st say masq passives I was surprised that for the 1st time I see a class with all passives being viable for use... ...after the release I don't feel that way anymore. Most of the masks are not worth leveling, some other passives got "balanced" so hard that they seriously are not worth it. I'd rather not use the points at all than use them for those passives.

Solution: Maybe give some love to passive spells to make the them all viable again.

Back on the topic... water mask seem to be a little OP id say, im from Elbor server and ive seen 2 high lvl water masq doing insane dmg per turn... level 110 doing near 2k damage on my feca... and a level 95 owning level 110 characters.

Do you remember what spells they were using?

I just can't see 2k dmg... my guess is backstabs + crits with double. But double doesn't last forever.
I'd say 2x Sting Sting.

In my opinion, those masqueradiers are rooted to one gamplay way more than a iop and are all but unpredictable.

They never stop disappointing me.

Here are my thoughts about the class:

Water:

1. Does not heal enough. (eni base heal amount on spells are roughly 50%-30% more)
2. Dodging might give you more healing in a faster way than eniripsas hygieny but will reset if you get locked (even if you invest a lot in dodge, it's still just 95% at best) or then just push back and lose even more healing potential.
3. I like the pulling, pushing and swapping aspects but it doesn't make up for the fact that +20 dodge is useless (at least when facing UB ).

Air:

1. It's all about collision. In some cases works in others reduces damage dealt by a lot.
2. Needs to be at charging for the enemy at all times (mobile but maybe too fragile for the job?)

Fire:

1. A lot of AOE (all spells are)
2. Nice damage output (if you can hit multiple targets)
3. Psycate seems to be way stronger move than the others.

Support spells:

1. Well played ankama.
2. They seem honestly useful and good.
3. Hate the fact that masks take 3 spots but others make up for it nicely. (who's going to multi element anyways with these sets anyways?)

I came to see wakfu forums after a 3-4 months break again... I was really happy to see that masqraiders are finally coming out and I came to see what the sram community has been doing while I've been away...

After reading this thread I was about to share my own view about the sram class and the improvements / changes it needs in my opinion. Tell some of my experience about being kicked out from the UB groups just because everyone agreed that I'm not useful to the group (or as useful as some other class who replaced me for so many times). Then I suddenly realized that this game has been out for a year now. It still is imbalanced, has not released enough content to play, and is still not in a condition that I would have even consider it to be on the release date.

As a old Dofus player, I know that change takes ages when it comes ankama games... ...years... So I will end my contribution to this discussion by asking you: How long do you think that it's going to take until the game is balanced and enjoyable for everyone? Is it worth your time, since every second you use here is lost forever?

Your life, your move...

There is a spell exp cap and if you reset at 105 you will automatically reach that said spell cap.

At level 100 you can have 2 spell at level 100 in one tree or 1 spell at 100 in each of the 3 trees. So yes you can only max 2 spells if you are mono element.
So max 2 spells at mono tree and garn no levels to other spells in that tree? Or well like lvl 50 one spell as it would seem... All other trees lvl 0 spells

Se basicly I garn spell exp as long as I level? Doesn't that mean that less quests I do more exp I garn for my spells = diffirent amount on each player?

Or is there a spell exp cap I've reached and therefore have the same amout of exp to use as everyone else? Meaning that I only can level 2 spells to cap and not much else?
