I chose my nation for the description. Didn't even think that it might have affected the monsters and, in consequence, the drops.

Quote (NekoKittey @ 11 January 2012 18:57) all the monsters are too hard now...... i cant find any quests..... Go back to Incarnam and get to a higher lvl, then the monsters won't be so hard. Or get a group, whichever you prefer.
As for quests, there are none. You have you Achievements though, you may do them at your own pace.

Game Launcher re-direction
I open the launcher and everything works normal until I click the news. I want to stay up to date with the Wakfu news, but I can never read them because the launcher opens the news article and I want to read, and before it loads I get re-directed to another page.
Let me explain. Right now the top news on my launcher is Q&A Ask the Devs #4: Answers. I click on this and everything is normal, up until the page starts to load. The first URL that appears on my browser is, Click here. Right after this page starts to load I get re-directed to, Click here, the website's home page and the news article in question is nowhere to be found in the news feed, right now the latest article I can see in there is, Changelog 0.311 "A Perceptive Shadow".
I noticed that I'm automatically switched from, what I think is, the region of the site. I get automatically re-directed from NA to EN. I'm guessing this means I have the NA launcher, but for some reason can't see anything from the NA site, nor can I log on to the NA server. Can anyone explain what's going on?

Quote (Jono- @ 09 January 2012 22:37) Do you know whats best for Iop's Heart? The attribute you choose always depends on your playing style. If you're going to make a single elemental build just read all the spells of each element and choose the element that has the most spells that you like.

Quote (Merien @ 09 January 2012 16:47) The NA community is entirely managed by Square Enix, therefore they have their own rules, community manager, moderators and server.
Ankama accounts get linked to a certain community (which is the same for both Dofus and Wakfu). Each account can only be in one community at a time, so if your account is in the German community, you will only be able to join German servers, or if your account is in the International community, you may only enter international servers. It is possible to change your community by contacting support. But note that changing your community will affect all Ankama games, this means if you change your community to Spanish for example, you may only join Spanish servers in both Dofus and Wakfu.
A. Thank you for the answer that I believe is at least a good compromise.
B. Problem is, everyone I've heard that has tried to contact support has gotten no results at all.
Quote (Venusquake @ 09 January 2012 21:58) Square enix has signed some sort of contract to only accept North American / Canadian players.
nothing to do with Morality or Ethics or whatever else this forum is talking about. those who can access it should take it as a gift and those who cant should join a English speaking guild. and wait until the final release where there will most probably be an international server along with an English speaking
Dont start flaming at foreign speaking players on Remington that wont solve anything (that is the only server they can go on its not their fault.
what annoys me is that on the server Remington there are so much noobs.
(dont mean to offend anyone i also dislike smug pros too) There are many n00bs in all of the servers. Everyone has to be a n00b at some point. Instead of bagging on them you should just help.

It doesn't take away your AP.You get Locked, you lose your turn. Simple as that. It's been that way as long as I can remember, since way back in Dofus.

Quote (DrQuint @ 07 January 2012 05:15) Good morning.
I have a MMO group I play with. It's called Aydiv. We have only on wish: To try out every MMO and find one that's amazing. It has been a great journey so far, and after all that pronz of the wakfu tv show being spread all around particular members of our group, we packed up our stuff and decided it was time to try it out.
This issue was strike one. You went to the middle of our tiers with this alone: We could not play together, at all. Major crime for a MMO.
The forced grouping was strike two. Most MMO players, non-defence force one, will agree that soloing is a must on a lot of character build up.
The confusing character build page and the bare effect of stat gains on your battle capability was strike 3. We aren't even going to bother getting into professions when the battle mechanics themselves are ruined.
You are ranked third lowest on our tiers. That means even Gaiaonline made a better MMO using Flash. It's an insult. And the lowest is just a troll, Minecraft, meaning you're actually only not worse than ONE MMO out of almost 70.
The brazilians on Remingon didn't even need to do much. I think this should've been made into some sort of review thread, not added as a reply here.
As for the issues you have with the game:
"Strike one" - Yes, the region lock is what is ruining the game experience for a lot of players
"Strike two" - I have no idea what you mean by being "forced" into grouping. Since the last update I have been soloing because my friends either don't want to play anymore or are locked to other servers, and I've had no problem with it.
"Strike three" - Confusing character build page? I understand it completely, at least to the character classes I play with. So again, no idea what you mean.
On another note, your ranking tiers. Wakfu is one of the best MMOs I've ever played, but this region lock is a huge dealbreaker. Also, the only one that ranked lower was Minecraft? Minecraft is not an MMO. Yes, it could be classified as one if you take into account that it is, by definition, massive in it's multiplayer base, but it is not meant to be an MMO in itself. Added to that, it's one of the best games out there, period. So with the ranking these two games have received in your tier, I wouldn't trust said tier to tell me which games to play, and which not to.

Quote (Karlos69 @ 06 January 2012 16:21) Honestly, I did not like a Brazilian, not Spanish to play on the server, and any player to play on the server to understand, a Brazilian can speak Spanish and English, an English may also speak Portuguese ...
posts of people who agree, in my opinion are posts of people who will not accept another culture, I never thought bad to play with someone from another country, on the contrary, I thought it was fun, now on the server where I can play ..
if it is to facilitate the bores of the players ..
it failed .. The bigger complaint here isn't difference in player cultures. The main issue is people who either got into the game because their friends were playing it and they are now unable to play with said friends (in my case four of us started playing the game as a group decision because we were looking for something we could all enjoy, and now the group has been torn apart), or people who started playing, made friends within the game itself, and now are unable to play with the friends they made because of the server restrictions.
To summarize, it's not xenophobia what has so many players mad. What has so many players, including myself, saying that this was a game they were going to pay for (as a fact) once it released and now they refuse to do so is that they are now forced into servers in which they have no friends that they can play with.

Quote (Noirebit @ 05 January 2012 18:56) I want the hawaiians to play with the japanese and chinese. "That makes no sense.", you say? Makes perfect sense to me since I have to play with the spaniards, people whom the only thing I have in common with is that we both speak different branches of the same language.
What does Hawaii have to do with this? I live in Puerto Rico, an island not IN the continental US but a territory nonetheless, like Hawaii. If I have to play with Spain ( people whom we have not had anything to do with for about 200 years, give or take. ), I want Hawaii to play with china and japan.
Oh! and "Why china and Japan in one server?" you ask? You, apparently, think languages that are derived from one another should do well enough together... Have fun with that.
I know it has probably something legal to do with regional contracts and the service of the region designated, but I am just so goddamn tired of this happening.
I like dofus... don't play it anymore... why?... I can't understand anything the people around me are saying; even though we speak different branches of the same language.
Thank you for doing the same with Wakfu.
edit: I didn't mean to imply racism, I meant to imply incompetence. I just wrote this to blow off steam because I am insanely pissed.
WHAT does not understand the people around you say?
to separate the game in Portuguese, Spanish, English, German??
I prefer to play with everyone no matter if it's German, French, English, is not just because someone is Brazilian and speaks only Portuguese, playing with a Spanish can be an opportunity for me to learn something besides my culture ..
no fun for me to play on a server with people who speak only one language He was just saying that if some people are getting lumped together because they speak similar languages then everyone who speaks similar languages should get lumped together to "be fair"
Also, how am I going to "learn something besides my culture" if I have no understanding about what the other player is saying.

Just thought I should mention there's people from X country who cannot log on to that country's server.
IE: I read about someone from Germany who couldn't log on to Germany's server and I have a friend in NA who can't log on to NA's server, but can actually log on to the French server, which in turn makes him not want to play because he doesn't understand anyone.

The "blocked" classes will be available to subscription players, period.
I might be wrong, I'm just a random player here, but that what it seems like.

1) Yes, there will be a subscription. Rumors are that it'll be around $5.99 a month.
2) The game will be in fact F2P, but all F2P players will have limited access to the game world and, probably, limited amount of classes to choose from.
3) ^ Just answered that

Quote (Healsppark @ 05 January 2012 20:50) Holy cow, I just realized us Puerto Ricans have to play with the Spanish community! What the hell?
Anyway: delete and re-install the program? I did it and it's fixed. I sent you a message saying that, man.
Hope the re-install fixes your problems.

Okay, after reading from everyone here and thinking a bit I have a question that should work as the solution. When I try to log on to Nox, this is the message I get
Where can I download this client?

I'm going to guess that you've already closed and re-opened the program. Have you tried restarting your computer?

Yup, and if not I can't imagine players will be happy have to yet again re-level etc their characters. Personally, I wouldn't mind re-leveling my character (although it's annoying and I'd rather not do so) so long as I could play on Nox (which is where my friends are at). I'd even settle for Remington if my buddies could join in. I'd even play on the Spanish server (which is what I'm being forced to do) if my NA buddies could also log into that one. That being said, I'd much rather play on an English speaking server.
