Level 50 is max? Well, there is a rumor that the level cap is 50...is this true?

Level cap is 200 as Dofus. 50 would take about a week to a month at worst to reach. Gobball chiefs are around level 30 already.

A friend of mine is an IOP and at level 50, gains no more Experience.

If that's the source of your rumour: screenshot proof please. Are you sure it's not just death-debt? or monsters too weak?

I will try my best to obtain a screenie, he had just got to level 50 and after that no EXP was gained after battles.

maybe its just a open beta cap? to stop players getting too high since there is no point to it right now

I believe it would be more productive to see how high we could get (without the use of chemicals), than slap on some arbitrary cap just for beta (which is supposed to be preparation for full release).

I'm betting it's the monsters being fought, as most common creatures cap out at around 30, and only the rarer things like Royal variants are within 10 levels of 50 (only Royal Gobballs actually go over 50).

I'd say that was proof enough (though it'd be better with a post-fight log against a legit monster opponent). Yes, from that page it look like you can still spell level.

This just makes the whole soft-cap thing and "lol we re-added levels" feel even more retarded, but I assume they'll probably push up the level later (either as a cheap "lol expansion pack" or something).

Where did he get the extra bags? I thought skin tanning tools werent in the game...unless from a challenge?

Forestry/Wood + Tanning/Wool -> Tailoring = Doofle bags. Only forestry crafting and tailor crafting needed

wow, 50...? I'm already 25 and i started this game on Saturday.... Course, in the long run, i think it'll take me another 1.5-2 weeks to get to 50 due to my insanely slow leveling!

after what u said im afraid to equip my royal item.. but im not sure if this is happening only to royal itens. Yesterday my ring of aracne (forogt the right name) that was in my inventory just turned into a bag of wits o.O.

Generally the inventory is randomly bugging out for people. I've had a forestry axe generate seeds simply by moving it round the empty backback slots. People have had individual bags, or all their bags vanish. Had some, or all, their equip slots empty.

Don't worry about equipping stuff in case you lose it, eventually it's going to turn into a whale and a petunia anyway.

I didn't see anyone say it clearly so I will:

the character level cap is 50 but that doesn't restrict spell level, so you can just keep on leveling them.
