FAQ:Beta, Wipe, and everything else.
The rules for the Questions Thread are still as follows:
I will also try to compile all the new individual questions that have been answered into this post, so we can skip a lot of the repeats (consider it an impromptu FAQ).
For discussion of the Square-Enix's Forum please see their forums.
The English Beta
Where can I download Wakfu?
You can download the game here: click here
Are Ankama's servers the same as Square-Enix's North American servers?
No. Each server is run by that company. For support, and other issues, for those servers you will need to contact the appropriate company.
How do I play on the International server?
At the login screen, change your server to Remington.
If you are in a region which is not assigned to the International community, you may have to play on a different server. If you believe you should be in the International community but find your account has not been correctly assigned you can ask support to change your account's region.
Subscription
Will Ogrines work in Wakfu?
Ankama plans to use Ogrines in Wakfu, in the same way they are used in Dofus.
Where can I subscribe?
You can see the subscription options, payment option, and actually subscribe here:
click here. Payment methods depend on your country.
Does a Dofus subscription also cover Wakfu?
No, the two games require individual subscriptions.
What are the limitations if I don't subscribe?
Wakfu will allow you to play some parts of the game for free for an unlimited amount of time, but in order to experience the whole game you will have to pay a subscription.
Basics
How do I move around?
Left-click where you want to go on the screen.
How do I interact with things?
Right-click the thing and a bunch of options will pop up for you to choose. Some things, like profession resources, require you to have that profession unlocked first.
How can I fight monsters?
Right-click a monster and select the sword icon that appears. Some aggressive monsters can start fights with you instead.
What are the penalties for dying?
When you die, you are returned to your spawn-point, and suffer a temporary penalty to health and damage.
Where's the Fire of Love?

Characters
Can you tell me more about each class?
You can learn about the classes, either on the Wakfu Wiki, though it is slightly out-of-date now because some classes aren't available for play. Ankama's Wakfu site also contains a lot of information.
Why can't I play Masqueraider or Rogue?
Those classes haven't been released yet. Currently they are announced to be available some time after the game has been officially released.
How can I learn a profession?
You can learn all the professions by finding the appropriate Clan Member to teach you (which one, is shown on the map). They'll give a manual to read through, and then you can attempt their multiple-choice quiz. If you get all the answers right, you'll unlock the new profession, and be given the appropriate tool if needed.
One of the books says I can't do crafting and gathering with the same character. Is this true?
Nope, you can learn every single profession available on the same character. But it will be difficult for you to level them all.
Can I reset my skill points after I've spent them?
No, currently the game has no ability to do this.
Can I change my nation after I've chosen?
Not right now.
Trade
Where can I get my Haven Bag?
You will be given a Haven Bag once you join a nation.
How can I pass items between my own characters on the same account?
Currently there is no way to do this directly. You can either pass it to a character on a different account, or drop it on the floor and quickly switch characters in the same location.
Where are NPCs to sell stuff to?
Wakfu doesn't have merchant NPCs. You can only sell to other players.
Still want more information?
You can also read through the Grichmann's Fan Manual thread.
English
How do I change Wakfu into English?
Before logging in, you can select "EN" in the top-right hand of the client-window.
Where are all the English players?
You can use this forum to coordinate and find each other.
The game has weird !content.content! so I can't read anything!
Change your language to non-English, then change it back to English. That should fix it.
The Forum
How do I tell old beta threads from current threads on the forum?
Wakfu was officially released on the 29th February 2012, so any threads from before that date usually refer to the older systems.
How can I pick a forum-portrait?
1. Click your name at the top right of the forum. Select the "Forum" section, then click "change my avatar", select your picture and confirm it.
2. Click here to skip to that second part.
How do I turn my special forum tags on and off?
In the same place as the forum-portrait settings, you can select your tags, and turn them on and off. They will appear/disappear on the forums the next time you login on the forums.
What timezone do Ankama use?
Ankama uses local French time (GMT+1) for all news and discussions related to their products. This is also the default timezone that the forum uses (which you can see when you're not signed in).
A Forum Moderator hid my post! Why?
If a forum moderator has done that, and you want to know why, you will need to contact the moderator to see what they think you did wrong. Do not just repost it again, as that can lead to you receiving a ban from the forum.
I like Wakfu, and I like the community, but I want to use the forums to talk about something else. Where can I do that?
You can find our off-topic forum on the Dofus forums, here: Click here
Dear moderators, tell me all the inside info that Ankama hasn't told us already!
The Moderators on Ankama's forums are not part of Ankama's actual staff, but are simply players from the community. They do not have access to any information which any other community member doesn't already have access to.
Knonaut, are you still truly a man amongst men?
Yes, I am eternal.

1. If you have a question, post it! No question is too big or too small to answer nor too complex or too idiotic.
2. While answering a question, try to be as nice as possible.
3. Do not make fun of a person for asking a question. Each of us has our own knowledge of Wakfu and others that are new to the game may not know where to find tofus and what not.
4. If you have a question and have posted it, give it a day or two to get answered. Give the members of the forum time to answer it! Not everyone is on these forums 24/7.
5. Try to read through all of the previous posts as your question may have already been answered. We understand that there may be a lot of posts in this thread, but at least make an effort and skim through a couple of pages.
6. Do not... I repeat... DO NOT feel embarrassed for any question that you ask. If you don't understand something, chances are there are tens of dozens of other Wakfu players out there that are wondering the same thing.
