Osas earning +1 Leadership, Every 25 levels of Summoning *********
posté January 14, 2009, 01:46:14 | #1
Osas earning +1 Leadership Since every 25 levels of Seduction allows the Osa to capture a new creature, would it not make sense for every 25 levels of Summoning ********** make the osa able to summon more than one creature?

This would mean that Osas would be capable of not having to have +4 leadership, but instead they'd be able to comprimise between equipment and the spell, or if the player can be bothered, all leadership coming from Summoning ***** instead.

I am all in favor of ways to raise leadership other than equipments and I think that it should have no direct link to the possibility of capturing more than one creature. Indeed : the more you can capture = the more you can summon would be too lame. It has to be worked at separately.

The idea of adding points of leadership as levels of summoning are raised is intersting. It could also be linked to a stat, for instance :

+ 1 leadership at 50 wisdom
+ 2 leadership at 150 wisdom

Although the idea of Wisdom raising Leadership sounds somewhat plausible at this point, it's hard to tell whether 50 is too much or too little considering Wakfu's still in Beta and a lot of things could change.

We also don't know how much it affects XP or AP / MP Dodge rates because Wisdom does not work right now.

It is a stat which already has two effects (EXP Gain, AP/MP Dodge), and so adding leadership in might not be ideal.

It's also a stat which every class has access to; and therefore the additional effect is only useful for Osas, and on Sadidas it will be too powerful.

Summoning ******** directly summons a creature, so at high levels it should be able to summon more than one, just like how Seduction can capture more than one creature at higher levels.

I don't believe Wisdom is intended to effect AP/MP dodging in Wakfu. I don't believe Ankama intend for AP/MP dodging to return either since it was a needlessly complicated equation. A number of spells either have low AP/MP removal (Temporal Stasis costs 4AP to cast, and can strip 2AP at best), have a % chance to fail written directly into the spell itself (the Destabilise condition has only a 50% chance to inflict -3MP), or are very tricky to maintain (Sacrier's Domination requires the caster to remain stationary to keep the spell working).

It's possible that they might tie the Will-stat to AP/MP dodging iff the mechanic is re-added. I'm still not really sure if Will does anything right now, but it does increase with class-level.

The word on the wind is that "Will" affects your likelihood to avoid spells which make you skip your turn (Dominating Kiss, for example).

It's also rumoured that it affects creature capture rate, which is why Osas have the most.

The in-game interface says "helps to avoid mind-effecting spells", which is basically why people are theorising the things you mentioned. Of course, Ankama is about as clear as fog on this matter.
