wow ankama is really out of ideas now o.o
they lost so much money in 2013 that they need to make people buy all these multiman now wow XD

I heard dofus lost a lot of players last year with trophies and pvp

nice ankama, ty for not making content and ignoring the classes to make more multiman.
Well actually not ALL of them have to be bought. Three of the Multimen (Krobax, Trank and Astrub Knight I believe) are all obtained via earning a certain amount of Achievement Points in-game (but can only be gotten once per character) and the Krosmoglob is obtained via quests. We do not know how to obtain Kamus Rex in Dofus yet but we assume it has something to do with Divine Dimension Achievements so there's that. The Spectral Scout is a limited-time limited-amount (Yes, a certain amount of the Sidekicks were available to all communities, 5000 for all if I recall) Ogrine offer (similar to the Black Wabbit Costume) and they plan to bring it back for whenever they feel like it so I guess that's the only thing to complain about. I like how Dofus Sidekicks are done though. Better than Wakfu's way, anyway. No offence intended...
And they didn't lose players, just make them utterly UNINTERESTED FOREVER SO THEY COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO LEVEL CHARACTERS. *Cough*me*cough*
Anyway, I'm talking about Dofus not Wakfu! BAD FIRLOW! NO!

bored of spore? ^^

probably next week and it's not an update, just a hotfix to fix bugs. update is next month with a new multiman and panda revamp.
Is the new Sidekick you mentioned Protoflex or have I not been paying attention? If it's not, then it's trying to keep up with Dofus which, because of a early released Sidekick icon that as far as we know cannot be obtained yet, has got ten so far. Not sure how many Wakfu has got... (I posted snaps on their for you to either look in awe or jealousy, either way =3)

so funny they will probably keep making this costume "limited time" every holiday they can find and put it at that high price
This is their kidnap. You want it back so much that you'll find any way to get it. WELL THERE'S GOING TO BE A LOT OF THOSE OPPORTUNITIES. THERE'S BEEN TWO (Or is it three?) ALREADY. This is crazy. So glad Dofus and Wakfu Teams are as separate as possible. If anyone from any sector of Wakfu got into Dofus, both games would be ruined. Unless this is Ankama as a whole thinking this through. Then we'd be in trouble. GODZILLA 2014? NAW, ANKAMA 2014. (Seriously, I love Ankama but this isn't funny anymore. It's gone beyond laughable)

(OR, if you want to be nice to the lovely people)

This is going to be like the darn Mc Rib at Macdonalds and other "limited" edition things. Whenever they run into a hole they'll flop this out again for people who want it... wish they'd do that for certain magazine costumes.... Curse you

Hey guys!

Did you miss the special offer on the Black Wabbit Costume last weekend? Fleaster panic attack!

Today we launch a special game on our Facebook page. The goal is simple: we will post an image at 12 PM PST, 2 PM PST and 5 PM PST where Fleaster eggs will be hidden.

The fastest 3 among you to give us ALL the COORDINATES of the eggs and their ANKAMA NICKNAMES/SERVER will be rewarded with a Black Wabbit Costume on their WAKFU account! (1 person cannot win more than 1 time).

Comments must be made on the Facebook page only, any replies on this thread regarding this event will not count!

Are you ready? See you at 12 PM PST / 7 PM GMT / 3 PM EST for the first image on Facebook!

Look what happened? (OK, not the exact same thing but darn tootin' similar!)
So glad I don't play this game any more. Or am on hiatus. DOFUS HIATUS. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

When Soon™ comes we will have already bought two years worth of subscriptions putting money in ankamas pockets

History is repeating itself. Soon is just another game with ants in its pants. Or bugs in it's coding.

Operation Seduction? Wow. If I was still playing I'd totally buy into this. The Wakfu Team is actually doing something fairly interesting that isn't a bugfest (the majority of the time)?!

Except WoW only did it twice. They did 10 level expansions too. If they raise the level too much then the content will be too stretched out like wabbit. 120-140, grinding for 20 levels on just wabbits? Boring. They added the Saharash stuff at least. If we get to level 200 too quickly then there will be less content to level on. If you grinded on the same mob for dozens of levels, wouldn't that get boring fast?

Take a guess how Anakma forces you to drop items in this game or get Otomai Relic.

You really want me to go play WoW don't you. I think Guild Wars 2 is a lot better.
Frankly you should like what games you like and you can't force someone to change what game they're gonna play but you also can't change their routine or how they play that game.

In terms of nerfs, Wakfu is on the tame edge. Dofus is horrific for getting nerfed.
When dofus nerfs your class, it doesn't mess around. They send it back to the stone age. They don't just slightly decrease the damage of your spells there; they remove spell effects entirely. Just imagine a full on wakfu revamp of just nerfs. You should be happy that wakfu doesn't nuke classes in a similar fashion.
Well on Dofus I've not noticed any changes to Ecaflips, despite there being a nerf. So, thats wrong.
The very last update 2.17 had major changes to the Ecaflip class.

Not as "Stone age" as referenced by CloudyMind, but changes non the less. (They were the first heavy hit class since before Goultarmanator, which referenced from my first post is because the devs actually use fights to determine what should and shouldn't be changed, rather than a dart board)
They're buffs - not Nerfs! XD

I play both Dofus and Wakfu alternate and am very interested in the lore, but I know more about Dofus lore than Wakfu Lore, so that was a very interesting read Ryf! Thanks!

That's one of many little jokes like that in the game (and Dofus) that are always worth a giggle at.

Whats the reason for these changes?

I can understand making the pet growth process go faster. But at the cost of the pets STATS I feel that removing stats is not worth it.

I think a better system would be:
Keeping the proposed lvling system for pets. But make the max lvl for pets 100. Buff the pets a bit so that at lvl 75~ or so they hit the stats that they currently have.

People love buffs. Nerfs are not always necessary, and when I hear nerf I don't think improvements 9 times out of 10.

my 2 cents.

~Ryn
People wanted Gemlins to be tougher. Ankama wanted pets to be weaker. They met in the middle. Now pets and Gemlins aren't that far apart. And still the choir of pain from the community of grievers will echo louder now they have allowed their pets to die because they are not useful. That's most peoples (or, mine) reasoning.

In terms of nerfs, Wakfu is on the tame edge. Dofus is horrific for getting nerfed.
Dofus nerfs are almost always done to prevent exploitation in terms of the French Metagame. The devs use Kolossuim fights and Goultard matches to see certain strategies and remove them from the game. The only thing is, rather than just fix the small exploitation, they use the time to entirely redo classes (I believe the most recent Ecaflip nerf over there is a prime example)

Where as the Wakfu devs are nerfing things based off of what I think would have to be player feedback, or opinions within the team. That's why the nerfs seem so dartboard'd(I am shocked this is an actual work according to Spell Check...) The devs don't really seem to have a full sense of how Wakfu is played because they have nothing to base it on other than their own personal experiences.
What, there was an Ecaflip nerf in Dofus? I thought it was a buff. It felt like a buff. It looks like a buff. It plays like a buff. I hadn't noticed... And yes, I do agree with what you're saying there, I was just saying that Dofus gets nerfed more often than Wakfu does, but in small doses or it's not extremely major (even if its a class) but is usually spread out amongst years, but in Wakfu they like to throw the shit at you now and hope you'll forget about the taste on your mouth later.

It's worse on Dofus. In dofus its main problem is MA, but in Wakfu its The GRIIIII-IND. Hit me baby one more time!

The reason I went back to Dofus - the Wakfu team have bugs galore, or coding mistakes etc. (Another reason is because Dofus isn't such a Grindfest) and it's annoying.
