Best solo class?
posté December 08, 2011, 08:22:27 | #1
Best solo class? Okay, so I am now Water Xelor with some spice of Air in it.
But.. My damage seems so low, and that AP stealing thingy isnt doing so well.

I dont know which skills I should focus,so I have been trying to level 'em all.
I though that Water Xelor got that cool lvl 5 skills, but now its a summon.
And that summon hits like.. 1-2 per turn qq

Atm Im mining with Xelor, and getting bored on leveling, I can barely kill one goball at lvl 11, alone.
Is there any class, that deals good damage, and is better at soloing?
Or is there any tips, how to make myself better soloer with Xelor?

Dont suggest Iop, I know, they rock, but I was lvl 20 iop in french server, before it got wiped, so now nty.
Or Eca, because it is pain roll character again and again just to get better spells.

Sacrier, with air spell he can manipulate enemis position and put them in places where they cant move or attack.

Sadida, because...well.....sadida.

Fire xelor is great for soloing. Before 0.310 he was, imo, the best character for soloing mobs, now he is much weaker but still good. Why you ask? Dial for 18 turns, allowing you to outmaneuver most mobs, hydrands (not limited by mechanic lvl) to create damaging obstacles, and most important, temporal dust, which combined with tick-aging (if you have 7 ap) , deals quite good dmg on large AoE.
In general, fire xel allows relatively quick dispatching of multiple and solo monsters, while not being as dull as iop. Efficient fire xelor gameplay requires an effort in tactical positioning and range control.

Another choice is sadida, which will give you easy win with mobs much stronger than yourself, but each fight will take maaaany turns.

If you want tips on soloing with water xelor, well, there isn't much I can advice. Low level water xel is terrible crap. Try to max dial, in tick turns use hyperactivity lowering air spells, in special skills go for everything that raises your demotivation %.

this is my personal opinion

most summoner class can be solo-ing quite well, like osa and sadida.
you can keep the distance while your summons tanking
or you yourself tanking while summons attack or whatever playstyle you seem fit.

for anyother else, i find it hard playing solo

It really depends on how you enjoy playing. Most people who reply to this type of question will give you personal experience and this will be no different I'm afraid.

Some classes which really excel at solo play usually have some sort of tank-based mechanic in their play style, but there are exceptions

After update I have been using a Sram which i use for execution-style play, a quick nuke to a single target allows for simple and fun style.

Pandawa have quite a few different play styles, after update I have used a single-tree bezerker styled earth panda; having high health and high, fast damage allows you to take on multiple enemies with a massive damage output. Before patch I used a very strategic combination of water with fire, using barrel as a tanking method and stacking up the dizzy state on enemies.

Cra i have used briefly and with good results on clever beacon placements and hit-and-run tactics but I have not used them recently

Sacrier you can hardly go wrong with. Despite the air tree having a major nerf prior to the update just before sram release, their mobility and damage output is rather high at lower levels. The fire tree is a slow starter but gets incredibly tough and dangerous at high levels.

Hope this was helpful, good luck in your choice.

Most classes can solo mobs if they have invested all points Into HP

easiest way to solo is to be a highly damaging class like iop or sram and do loads of damage just tanking everything, cant really go wrong

While classes like Sram or Iops will finish the fight the fastes they usually need quite some time to heal and it gets worse and worse the higher level you get.

So ranged classes or summoners might get you the better time ratio here after all. Sad they nerfed cras so hard (which was totally unnecessary and made them entirtely useless), but I used to level fairly quick with one. Same with my TickTock Xelor right now.

The one character beating them all right now is the Boosamoda though. Get Osa to lvl30, catch little boo, go eat other little boos in Bonta. Takes 10 seconds a fight.

You just have to remember to cast spell you want to level or you wont get spell exp after those 10 sec.

Then just cast the spell before summoning the boo. :p

The main issue is that it's tricky to catch more boos with this method (since you have to summon the boo before casting gobgob on your target, and trying to make sure your boo is the one who does the eating, and only after a turn, and have you still in close enough range to capture the boo, and without spending too many points in gobgob to reduce the cost to 3ap (or getting some ap equipment I guess))

Well, that and little boos against other mobs aren't quite as good as other potential picks.
