Is Wakfu worth playing?, Not a troll thread.

Is Wakfu worth playing? Hello there everyone!
Well, first off I'd like to say that this is not a hate or troll thread, it's a real thread, with real questions.

So.. I started playing wakfu during the beta, and it was a lot of fun, although it was quite populated, and the servers couldn't handle it, it was laggy, there werent enough mobs for everyone and neither were there resources... So I got tired and eventually started playing something else.

Now the game is more stable, but I started playing at the Remington server, made a Rogue and started playing on the first nation "Bank-something?" (Sorry didn't actually get the name)... I teleported to the nation first map and I didn't see anyone around. Not a single living soul >_< Just a crap load of monsters.

So my question is... Has this game gone underpopulated? Or is it this just server/nation I picked?
And also... Is it worth subscribing?
And How do I subscribe... I checked the subscription options quite quickly and It seems I have to purchase the online currency, and then purchase the subscription with that currency, but the lowest ammount of currency I can buy at a time is $25. Is that correct? If I wanna subscribe for 1 month only, can't I pay for just that month?

Thank you for your attention ~~

is brakamar, and yes the low lvl players are rare thing, to be honest even the high lvl are rare thing too, there is no much players around, and probly they are all like me, waiting for the next update to pay one week and see if will be good or not come back for the game!

@gemashin
Hello! Thank you for answering.

Brakmar, that's the name! Haha, I had forgotten. Well, what nation is populated then?
And can we actually pay for just 1 week?

In my humble oppinion

Yes this worth playing.

Sadly the server is bit under populated outside of bonta that is.. brak, ama and sufokia are kinda empty but they do have small but lively communities i strongly recomend joining a big guild so you have company to assist in ur game.(if you come to brakmar i gladly help you myself and find you a guild too)

Some of the players are spending time on new islands and wild gobs so that's anohter reason why starter areas are bit empty.

You can sub for 1 week to 1 year there is multible payment options available depending on witch country your from but the standart payment methods should be there, personally im using the one month sub too and its 6€ via visa

You can subsicribe by cliling the subscribe button next to wakfu mag and picking the time and payment method.

I think games with microtransaction systems (cash shop) earn more and have more players, I don't know why they made Wakfu p2p.
But I have no playing with the p2p style, I just want to know if it is worth paying for.

@MikaeYami
Thank you !
Well, Bonta is the most populated then?
Should I stick to my character on Brakmar or should I reroll at Bonta? '-'...

i would say its worth paying for if you have friends to play it with its pretty awesome doing the mob"key" dungeons type thing with other people its not so much fun if your on your own or if you can find a guild to join with active players, amakna seems pretty populated to me gmt daytime i see people all over

bonta is the most populated nation and houses the largest market, but the fact is that the nation dosent really matter your free to travell to any of the 4 nations and use the markets so pick one you like (for me that is brakmar)

my guess would be that anakama made this p2p for several reasons 1st to prevent eco terrorism 2nd to prevent voter froud 3th because they dofus is p2p and the model has worked for ankma quite well

But anyways if you decide to stay in brak give me a pm ign caya

** sorry for bad typos - its 4:40 at night and well theres a lack off coffeine in my veins

I probably agree with TacheNoir wakfu should've made their game F2P and add Cash Shop.Just like Maplestory ^^ It would be more fun that way ^^

the game is definetly worth playing if you can get people to play with, thats the main problem though

posté July 01, 2012, 15:45:46 | #15
The main problem is that players can level up pretty fast at early start wich makes them switch to another area, and then they can go to another in group to fight higher level monsters for better exp, wich means those low level area's get's empty fast and once people reach 50-60 level they leave Nations to go to Sadida's Kingdom or elsewhere to train and so the nation is empty.
