We come back to you today regarding what has been going on in the last two days.
As you already know,
2 important flaws were discovered and had a deep impact on the game balance, since Monday evening.
Following this issue, and for the sake of transparency, we decided to communicate officially about these 2 flaws and react immediately by announcing what seemed inevitable: a rollback.
As we already said, applying a rollback is the most difficult choice we have to make on a MMORPG. This is the reason why the team worked this whole morning trying to find another solution, avoiding such a drastic answer.
Unfortunately,
the consequences of these flaws leave us no other choice than applying the rollback that was first announced.
After investigating on the impact of these two flaws, we estimate that it would harm the whole community to keep the server the way it currently is.
We first want to apologize for this issue.
Of course
we will compensate the whole community. Subscribers and Non-subscribers who logged in between Monday May 7th 4pm GMT and Wednesday May 9th 12pm GMT will receive the following:
- A free subscription week
- A potion usable only once (not tradable) which effects will 12 hours of game time once it was consumed, and providing bonuses of +100 wisdom, +50 prospecting, double harvesting xp, double craft xp.
- 5 silver tokens and 50 bronze tokens.
These compensations will be provided to all players during the update that will be deployed today at 12pm GMT, in the same time as the rollback, which will bring the server back 44 hours. This means that you will find your characters as they were on the 7th of May, at 4pm GMT.
In order to make sure that the rollback applies in the best conditions,
we decided to delay the release of Mount Zinit Chapter 2 to next week.
This update will mostly focus on fixing the bugs that allowed these exploits, the rollback, and distributing the compensation gifts. Our objective is to rebalance the servers in the best possible conditions for each community, in order to allow you to start playing again.
In the next days, we will conduct an investigation to track down those who abused these exploits and sanction them appropriately.
We will finish this announcement with a FAQ that should address most of your concerns.

What’s a rollback?In a MMO, rolling back means canceling one or more operations achieved with a character: XP gain, drops, item or kamas purchase, stats attribution.
Following a rollback, you find your character back as it was some hours or days before.
How far will it go?Back to Monday May 7th, 4pm GMT.
Who will receive the compensation gift?Each character connected during the rollback window, which is from Monday May 7th 4pm, to Wednesday May 9th 12pm GMT.
Does that mean that those who abused the exploit will also benefit from the compensation? That’s a bit unfair, isn’t it?Our priority is to not harm those who had nothing to blame themselves for. We want to act as fast as possible and offer your this compensation already. We will then start investigating and find out who cheated, to sanction them. Should they benefit from this compensation will serve them little since they will be sanctioned anyway.
I created a character during the rollback window. This character will therefore disappear and won’t receive the gift listed above. Will I also receive compensation?We already checked and found out that only a few players are affected. However, we want to make sure that they get compensated as anyone else. If you are part of these players, and you character was higher than level 3, you can contact me (Troyle) in my Ankabox stating the account display name, the character name and its level. We will investigate case by case in our database.
When will the rollback be applied, and when will we get our compensation?As soon as the servers reopen, today around 3pm GMT.
What do these “12 hours of game time” mean?It means that once you drank the option, its effects will only last while you are online and playing. Therefore, your potion will have effects for 12 hours while you are online. For example, if you play 1h each day, the effects will last for 12 days (12h in total)!
I bought items on the Boutique during the rollback window. Will I get them back?Yes. All items purchased during this window will be credited again on your account as fast as possible. We will post on the forums to let you know.
Will you sanction those who abused these exploits?Yes. In the next days we will focus our efforts on tracking them down. They will be sanctioned according to the level of violation.
well that kinda sucks tbh... i lost a whole character now... you said in game yesterday that it was cancelled so ive lost alll the gear i worked so hard for.... this is stupid.... why could you not have just reset stat points? did you really have to roll back so far? and plus 100 wisdom and that isnt going to make up for the 26 lvls i worked so hard for....
