I hope Ankama finds a better solution. Otherwise no one will play after patchday because they will be afraid that all their proccess will be lost to something like this

posté May 08, 2012, 14:25:48 | #25
Ooooh you'd better not do this Ankama

Why you can't just track down those who used that glitch anyways? Why punish the whole community?

If this is true....then why the fuck do they not shut down their servers immediatly? If they let us play for those 48 hours and then afterwards decide to roll us back then I am out of here.

Incompetent bunch..

Ridiculous to be honest. This affects the server as a whole more than it does the tards who choose to use exploits to their advantage, for the people who gain levels and profession levels and farm resources honestly 48hrs is a big dent if they played alot in that time frame. Some things aren't easy to do and gain for others.

Just another example of how this company does things backwards and unfairly.

I rekcon they'd have said something official by now if something official was going to happen.

I'd highly suggest Ankama not doing this or they're going to loose a hell of a lot of players.

Why not simply instant ban anyone who abused the bug? If they know it exists surely they can track down any known abusers.

I really couldn't care less if the items they sold on stay within the game, the people who bought them aren't at fault and they aren't really gaining anything more than what they would have had if they bought the item from a legit seller.

Ban the abusers, don't punish everyone for a few peoples mistakes and stop making terrible decisions, Ankama.

The fact that they even considered a rollback to be a viable solution to this problem baffles me immensely.

A rollback to post-patch state also means yet another ecosystem reset, and we all know how the first one was welcomed.

I'll be greatly disappointed not only as a player, but also as a customer, if this rollback does go through. Disappointed enough to look elsewhere for more enjoyable and reliable forms of entertainment.

Why release unfinnished content? im paying hard earned money to play this game and so faar it seems like its been a waste of money, Many MMOs are released to early but this might be the worst since "age of conan".

Thats it, cant be bothered with this game anymore.

First you ruin my enu by removing pp and now a rollback when i was finally lucky enough to get some good drops.

Ankama just seems to be totallly unaware of how to cater to their audience. And now we'r talking where is the /general and /looking for group chats? Shipping a game without those chat features has greatly damaged the social experience and as such the game as a whole.

Among other things i can mention is, the gear does not cater to every possible class branch. My fire enu cannot get fire gear with pp, while water enu has no such problems. Why make one 'right' way to play a class instead of offering copettive choices?

Too much derping around Ankama, a game with real potential tho, i will give you that..

Gonna need more than wisdom/PP candies and stat resets to compensate for this huge mess. 4-5 years ago on dofus someone exploited the free 10 PP red candies from an event and stacked them on 4 chars and ended up dropping 2 turqs, crimson, vulbis and an emerald dofus in 3 days. He received a months ban and a stern warning from the staff at Ankama. No way back then would they have even considered a server roll back then so why is it acceptable right now?

I really try hard to support the guys at Ankama and I'm all thumbs for you punishing anyone that exploits in game problems but really why should everyone suffer for such a minority's problem. We are spending our own hard earned money on this game even with all its bugs and flaws for you guys constantly let people down. I really think you guys need to think of a decent worth while compensation for all the parties not involved before rolling out any kind of 48 hour roll back.

I dont see this game surviving the year if things get any worse than they already are. I'm forever telling people to give the game and chance and that you guys are listening to us and our views. I see the U-turn on the Maka items and things like that do get noticed but a 48 hour roll back for a few people on a server we have never even heard of exploiting an in game bug is serious business. Just feel its gonna upset far to many players.

Sorry for the rant again, I hate doing this but just hope I'm conveying everyone's thoughts and feelings here in a decent non aggressive manor.

i really hope everyone abusing it will get ban too, at all of their accounts/IP's, especially if this will end with rollback for everyone else

Rollback is a big no for released mmo games, even if it`s just 1 hour rollback. Every minutes, many things happens on the game. And this rollback caused by few players who abused the bug, and it`s feel like you punish 100 people because you can`t track down 1 people who takes responsibility.

My suggestion is, track down the players who abused the bugs, then punish them. I know it`s hard, but it`s the only solution to keep honest players happy (esp. hard worker players).
