Perhaps this is all going too far. [Aggression.]

Perhaps this is all going too far. [Aggression.] I've had quite a few times, to at first I brushed off as a single persons opinion. But a large majority of people are actually borederline afraid to have any type of gathering profession. Why? Because of the amount of aggression simply to fight over resources. Most commonly with ores, but it even happens with trees, wheat and rarely plants. I assume 'afraid' is an apt word to use, due to people afraid after they work to plant a nice little system where they can peaceful work, for it to be forcibly taken from them for little to no reason.

I think it's going to a bit far if, even though reported, little is done to sway these people from continuing their agro. Personally I'm far too lazy to gather, but on a daily basis there's a multitude of people who come to either me, or in guild saying 'This [Class] called [Name here] Just killed me for mining, what do I do?' After referring them to their Army General and/or Guard little seems to be done.

This is not so much a suggestion but more to gather people's opinions on the matter?

Referring isn't pointless.

In my case, I reported this to Lohaf through a friend first, and then personally later (as I am Sufokian, and this happened in Bonta mines). Lohaf and a fellow guard of his came and killed the aggressor at least twice. There's only so much they can do, after all.

They don't have the power to send people to jail for a certain number of hours at a time, and you really can't expect them to spend all their online time patrolling one mine or another, to prevent people from being aggressive towards each other.

The community needs to grow and mature, nothing else to be done.

I currently hold the position of Head Guard in Bonta. Together with Raijin, our Army General, as well as several volunteer patrollers, I make rounds inside the mines several times each day to deal with and hopefully prevent acts of aggression while we're there.

Violence inside the mines are, by far, where most complaints from players come from. From lower level mines like Atta Grotto to high level ones such as Not Mines, greed seems to plague every one of them.

I've picked up Mining as my primary profession when the game was released. Having mined over 10,000 nodes, I've also had my fair share of aggression while a couple of feet under. I understand it's something extremely repressing for players, which is why we mobilize a patrol as soon as a report rolls in.

That being said, I strongly recommend you contact your Army General or Head Guard and ask for assistance when you're a victim of unprovoked aggression, not only while mining.

We may not be able to assist every time, or keep watch around every node, but we're looking to do whatever we can to provide the most fair experience to players.

Good old Lohaf! We know we can count on you and that we have chosen the right person for the job.

BloodStained, the game has been developed to be run and moderated by the community, so it's up to us as players to take measures to prevent the bad apples of the world from ruining things for everyone else. Perhaps something could be done to give players in power more power to utilize when dealing with those misfit miners, but consider that limitations are in place due to potential abuse. It is without a doubt one of our community's larger problems, at the moment...

If you are in sufokia, fear not! Just contact the Myrmidons and we come running to defend you! Your safety is our mission!

I have gotten two responses on this issue. One, the less often received response, is of dismay concerning people aggroing. The second, and sadly more often received response, is of readily acceptance towards aggroing over resources.

I have no liking towards the selfish and greed based mindset that heartlessly cares to aggro, no matter the situation.

Aggroers often do not care for cummunicating beyond the point of declaring the resources to be their property. I do not have to point out the ridiculous aspect behind such a mindset, but there are sadly a large number of greedy and immature people within the game. When these types of people run around, being of high level, they care not for sharing anything, because they can aggro whomever without risking any sort of loss.. or so they think. It is not just a matter of mindset, it goes deeper than this, and shows there is something wrong with these players, and something wonderfully right with the players who do not mind sharing in all fairness.

Some might wonder why people worry about these matters, after all it is just a game. But that is just it, it is 'just a game', in real life these people - if they are not cowardly inclined - would be even more selfish and greedy.

I rather share resources, and if there simply are too many people harvesting a certain resource, and communication and cooperation are impossible, I myself just decide to go do something else in or outside the game. There is always another time.

And for those who aggro, look up some spiritual masters and read a book or two from them, and look inside of yourself. You're really on a wrong path, and you need to wake up and be more conscious of the consequences of your actions (or suffer the consequences, you will).. hehe

there are different types of aggro here - dont forget about defensiveone. back to the days when garden gems were rare i needed some artychokes (dont remember what exactly) so i went to the deepest part of Kania and planted it. Waited for it to grow. And comes a person and started to cut it. I asked not to do it since i planted it and want the seeds back too. Was told to get lost. So i aggroed him and killed. He came back with a friend and started to cut my arty again. I aggroed and killed em both.
And i c nothing wrong with what i've done. On the other hand killin in mines is bad.

2Kuraibara - enutrofs do not need any gathering professions they can buy themself anything

Yesterday we had a similar conversation in the guild chat and there are some different points of view for this, but most of us agreed that there is a big difference between PvPing and bullying, so many people right now aggroing for fun and there is nothing wrong with that, but is not good to have people annoying and not allowing you to play and enjoy the game, PvP is a part of the game, but in every single MMORPG I have played, PKers can kill you once or twice and unless they are trying to get something like mining a limited resource, getting a drop from a unique monster or something like that, they won't aggro you anymore. Is great having some PvP action in a game, but sometimes people need to learn what respect is since there are so many people around who like to PK , just because they feel powerful, and in addition insulting other players.

I love the idea of Outlaw system someone already posted, but would also love to see some Game-Masters taking action when people bully others in game.

Enjoy the game, have fun with friends and respect other players!!!

If your aggressor is level capped, you'll realize very quickly that this isn't going to be your go-to fix for the problem. You gotta tackle it at the root.

see this is one reason that i (as a non PvP carebear treehuger hippie lol) support more PvP for the game. to give those agressive and agro-loving players a place to go beat some heads away from me and mine....

see, its okay to ask someone not to take your recently planted resources..ask nicely and you might actualy get what you ask.
if someone is collecting seeds/saplings from your planting, try asking first befor killing, it can help.
but if you ask em nicely to stop taking the whole thing (ie they arent gathering seeds/saplings but just Reaping the whole thing...) and they just keep at it, then they are being gready.

so often a player tags the whole area, a specific type of tree/plant or even the whole damn map...heloo, its not YOUR map unless your the governer or the ecologist for that nation....and while sometimes you might feel justified (it takes ages for a handfull of items to regrow becasue all the temps are kept at the needed for barley...we need at least ONE crop fillable map thats at 10degrees peeps, per nation...too many plants and trees need that 10degrees to grow hapily and we have more maps that can be 12 or so) be gratefull that they are after seeds...not taking your recently planted resources...becasue if they are after plantables, they are likely to BE planting those plantables...so as long as someone else dont come along and Reap their planteds, you can collect stuff back.

and no, level up and man up and beat the hell out of them isnt the answer. they get thair main, you get your main..they get a guild, they gen 2 guilds. its not worth it eventualy.
